When you were practicing this game, did you ever consider milking Stage 1 for points? I managed to do that on my recent 1CC run and while it is a bit tedious, it can help you to get an extra extend sooner. Congrats on the 1cc! There's another spot to milk for points at the start of stage 3, where you can stand still next to a particular one of the bunkers and fire to the left - there's in .inp file on MARP that demonstrates it as a scoring trick that's banned for that high score board
