My Atv had a nasty rattle. After tearing into it, I found the main Nut on the primary clutch wasn’t torqued properly. After torquing, it silenced the issue. If anyone else out there has a noisy primary or rattles it could be this. Hope it helps!
@@brettbailey4293 it shouldn’t. Mine ran fine when it did this. Just annoyingly loud at idle that turns people’s heads with looks like “bro your new machine sounds like a chainsaw with a modified cam in it” lol
@@slawdogshenanigans how much torque do you prefer? In the service manual are following specifications: nut 105nm / bolt 65nm but that’s a way to low. With that torque ist rattling as hell.

How do you torque it down
@@sposatoas258 with an impact gun. Just don’t run it too long or you’ll over torque it
Will this cause a loss of power?

Did it get louder as you drove it?
I have the same .. but when I torque the nut a bit stronger it disappears for a short time then the nut loosen again also with loctide blue ..
You have to torque both the nut and the bolt down. Not just the nut. Try that. I did and never heard this noise again.

I use an electric impact and hold it there for a good 3-4 seconds after stopping. I don’t measure it. Sorry
Does it make this noise randomly or all the time?
Only at idle when the primary is disengaged
Mine does the same
Either your main nut isn’t torqued or you need to replace the sliders.
@@slawdogshenanigans thx for the info :)
Very welcome! Good luck
