i love the idea of this mode, it encourages exploration and memory of the islands so you know exactly where the rings are

Personally, I'd call it "Ring Rush" because I love alliteration, but this concept seems really cool nonetheless!

This looks so cool i hope to this come has a oficial minigame with the next update and little bit difficult with enemies or more stuff
I think a golden Sonic costume would have fit this game perfectly, either as the Frontier Elite costume or a reward for clearing Battle Rush/Extreme Mode
Maybe even just for collecting enough rings across the game
Hey, I'll take any excuse to jam to SOS Backup for a long time. Nice concept.
It's a very good concept, but for making it more fast paced i'll add that the normal enemies drop one normal ring and the minibosses 10+ rings, so you can use all Sonic's abilities.

I think getting S rank times on all islands would unlock a golden Sonic skin
This is a pretty neat idea. I'm pretty sure I could get this working in-game; I'll take a look at it if you're okay with that.

This dam sound track is always in my head
Honesly i hoped since before the game releases "arcade mode" where a time attack on the open zones where you need to find the 7 chaos emeralds on the open zone (in vaults, no missions at all) and kill the titan to completed it..
Kinda like the boss rush and cyber challenge
But this has all parts of gameplay involved into the challenge...
Exploration (cause who dont say that portals and vaults can be randomized) Combat for the gears and
Speedrun for the regular levels
Definitly will give to the open zones more replay value...
We still dont know what new challenge mode is for update 2, but i hope is something like this.. or anything even better
Hey, speaking of update 2 a part of it has Sonic's birthday listed so it would make sense if came out on the 23rd of June which isn't far away.

What about if the cyloop isn't completely disabled, but you have a limited amount of uses, and each use only gives you 3-5 rings?

there could be a hard mode of this challenge where you gotta collect 999 rings

Seems cool, but I'd limit it to just 100-200 rings, 400 takes too long

i can see this being fun in 2 player
Its a interesting idea
But I don't think you need to disable Cyloop
I know you can get ring from Cyloop
But its very slow
I guess would be cool if in this mode other things give rings
For example: getting a High combo in battle (that way creating a high risk=high award situations) or the itens give 5 rings each
Just to make the player have some incentive to colect stuff
But only rings is good to
Still a good idea for a challenge

While this is amazing i don't see many people doing this if cyloop isn't enabled cause it's similar to not having the spindash automatically some people were pissed that they had to work for it having cyloop disabled for this challenge would be the same thing people would get pissed
