this video is perfect, im picking up a tk.45 and wanted to know if i could change the barrel to the tk.45c. this answered my question perfectly with steps on how to do it
Might be worth running a slightly shorter barrel but tighter bore barrel so that you can get a tracer more inside the rail. I'd be interested in knowing the sizes of the outer barrel so I could fit a Monk Customs carbon fibre outer barrel. I think it would work going off what I've seen
The small one is an acetech tracer unit. I think we checked a loudener (fire pig ones) and they did fit just inside the ris unit nicely, but with a little bit of barrrwl extension. I love my TK45, just make sure you change the hop rubber as they standard ones are terrible!
I found out with the proprietary upper receiver and hopup the outer barrel is proprietary to the upper. So you would have to chop it to make it shorter but you couldn’t say swap it out for a dimpled or coloured standard v2 outer barrel
Thanks for all your videos on this gun! I'm thinking to get the smaller TK45C, but does it also have the long barrel issue with using Tracer units? Thanks.
@@vinimunhoz Hi, I got the longer TK45 recoil version in the end but I think it's the same & inner barrel sticks out pass the CCW thread by about 10mm! However, my Acetech lighter BT works as the bb sensor in the unit is a bit further, luckily! Also, any Tracer with a diameter of more than 34mm will be tight fit, mine scrapes either side of hand rail! 👍
appreciate you doing this I actually just put in some Prometheus parts a little while ago thanks to your vids, and now I'm gonna have to get an osprey suppressor for my 45c cause of how nice it looked, is it the short suppressor or the long one??
Just realised you asked which length. This is the long one I have. But I have also ordered a short one now, to see what that looks like, was tempted to get it in red.
So the extra bit you removed that goes after the gas block does it come with each model ?? I’m interested in removing mine but I don’t want to damage it if I can’t even remove it
Hiya. On the tk45 recoil there is certainly a barrel extension in front of the gas block that will remove with the mock surpressor, I fit an extra one here as well to allow the surpressor to clear the front of the handguard. There isn't one on the tk45c though. That's the mock surpressor mounted immediately onto the gas block for the tk45c. Hope that helps! Pheas
how did you undo the screws for the orange tip? i have the tk45c and it has what loooks like screw holes but they are round and the tool it comes with doesnt fit
Hiya, thanks for the question. You need to use an Allen key or hex head tool to loosen a little grub screw up and then the orange tip will unscrew and come off. Unfortunately they don't provide the tool in the box, which is a a shame as its not always a tool people have at home. But the tool is cheap to get hold of. Hope that helps! Pheas

So I have been really interested in the TK45/TK45c and I cannot decide on which one I really want more. I've heard that the TK45 with the recoil system means that there is a lot more moving parts that can break and puts a lot of stress on the gear box and such, is this true? I really love M-LOK and not a huge fan of the Keymod and length of the TK45c, but I really like the variable FPS from it. What are you thoughts?
Hi, thanks for the question. Having had both, I found TK45 to be far more satisfying to fire, and like you I much prefer the M-LOK to Keymod front end. The gearbox is under more stress as it is powering the recoil weight system, but KWA have built this into the actual design of the gearbox (its the same shell in the 45 and the 45C) and it is designed to withstand this. That said, it probably will need a repair sooner than the 45c because of the recoil system, but I have hammered mine a lot and it is still running strong and smooth, same with my KWA recoil AK and my KWA Recoil Ronin Recon so they are certainly reliable, and I am not a kind person to my aegs ha ha ha. The adjustable FPS is nice, but then it is so easy to do a spring change on a TK45 (I did a video on it) that for me its negligible the difference, and chose to go with the appearance and feature set I wanted (Recoil and the M-LOK) The titan does transform it completely and ups the rate of fire (unless you go straight for an 11.1v lipo) and adds more features. I would recommend the recoil over all, but I am slightly biased as I love recoil stuff ha ha. Hope that has been some help to you!
@@PheasAirsoft You've honestly sold me on the TK45. I really wanted a longer barrel gun for my outdoor games as I already own an ARP556 for my CQB games and as you said M-LOK > Keymod.
The hop is proprietary, but one of my subscribers is working on modding a krytac hop to fit. So they won't just fit out of the box unfortunately. But they are a good hop unit though!
@@TheBender4 the upper receiver is different / smaller than a normal m4 type upper, even though it looks like it should fit it is a bit too small / tight. So some modding would be needed to get it to fit.
Hiya. there should be on in the underside ofg the rail unit you should be able to spot, it might be that the mini surpressor has been rotated slightly, you might need to get some grips on it and rotate it until you can spot on. If you look carefully before trying to do it, you might find where it is round the side somewhere so you know which way to screw for fastest access. Good luck with it. Pheas
Potentially yes it could fit. The gearbox is based on a version 2 gearbox. But I am not 100% certain if it would work. I have very little experience with polarstar and HPA set ups.
It doesn't help that a standard AR wrench can't even get a grip on that nut. It seems like KWA really likes to make their barrel nuts super tight because I had the same problem with an LM4 I got secondhand. I had to take it to a shop that had a vice and even the guy working there had trouble loosening it. I just want to slap a DD rail on my TK45 so it can match my LM4 😣
