Bob is incredible. He is so nice and fun to be around. He takes all the nerves away instantly when you meet him. His ability to fit wedges is go good I was lucky enough to go through the process at Oceanside a few years ago.

Bob is a class act. Met him in 1998 as a 4 spotter at tpc avenal. Actually remembered me or year later when I 4 spotted again. One of the nicest guys I met on tour

Joe Lucarelli have the SM 7 version in a 58 D grind and it’s my favorite wedge ever
Have they addressed anything with the wet wedge testing?
I think they look much better and sounds like the perform as well if not better than the 7

I have the SM7's and added some lead weight to the toe and the wedges perform much better.

Did you hear that Mr. Fraser best thing for a fitting is to have fun, so I assume my TXG T-Shirt idea will be a TXG perk soon. :-) The biggest problem with this video was it was far too short of conversation let's hope there is some Camera 3 on this. The chattering sound coming from Matty wasn't due to the cold, he performed well. Thumbs up really enjoyable content, appreciated.
Can't decide between SM8 vs MD5 for my 54* they both look good but I only need 1 wedge right now. Any bias towards one over the other?
Both are great wedges. Try both, see how they perform for you
Did you try the K grind?
Hoping they’ll change the stock shaft from s200 to s400 your issue. Doubt it very much though. Custom order coming up

Didn’t learn much about the club bounces and grinds at all. Maybe do a video on why choose the right club for amateurs swing and conditions.
One person likes SM7 instead of SM8
Also, I'd love to have a wedge fitting, just one on one with Voke. Then, I'd want to grab a bit to eat, go play, and then sit in the clubhouse, having a drink, talking wedges, and the game. A day with Voke. Titleist should offer this. I would be first on the list for recommending this.
does anyone have sm7s then got the sm8s? if so, did you noticed a big difference?
Yeah more stable , ball flight in higher loft is lower with more spin. Much consistent in terms of distance and trajectory, feel is great and the look is so pure. In love
@@matthieuperrier2707 NOICE!! what bounce do you use in your vokeys? I've been wanting to get fitted to see which bounce levels I perform best with because I have no clue.

Why would I get a cast wedge from Vokey when I can get a forged one from Mizuno, Cleveland or Titleist.jp?

Hitting wedge shots in front of Bob might be one of the few things in golf that could make me nervous...

No nerves, just 3 guys staring you down while yo hit a few, lol. I think I wouldn't even come close to hitting the ball.
I've always wondered why someone doesn't ask - "why didn't you make these changes last year?"
We want the weight lower. No wait, we want the weight high. No no no we corrected our mistakes, now the weight is forward where it should be.
Poll: where will the 'optimal' weight placement be next year?
That being said I have a couple Vokey wedges in the bag. SM4...I think. Obviously I don't get taken in by... Latest and greatest. If it works I stick with it.

You: Clean the face after every shot, make sure the test is accurate.
Me: I need course conditions, start with like 3 weeks worth of caked on dirt, and after every bad shot wash it off with some beer from the bottom of the can.

Matt - god I feel sorry for you in this video. Ian puts you in this position of trying to hit crispy perfect wedges in front of Bob Vokey while being filmed. Bob is flying in the best wedge players in the world to privately test his stuff and Ian does this to Matt. Ian you better have been buying the drinks after this.
