Ya call that singing?! - Lol. - Naw: I adore George Segal - Rest in Peace, sweet, wonderful actor! - & it's SO TERRIFIC he played banjo and uke! - Banjo's a HARD instrument!
It's rather ironic to see Kirk Douglas looking so healthy and vigorous, before the debilitating effects of his stroke, bounding on stage with Gorshin and George Segal to pay their respects to Cagney. Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, Jack Lemmon, Frank Sinatra, George C. Scott, Ali MacGraw and so many other luminaries at their peak to celebrate this icon of film.
Sorry to bother you again Skippy Doo. (I actually thought with the name Skippy Doo you were an Australian), but do you know why Jimmy Cagney was at the cinema? How old was your mum at that time? What does NH stand for? Is it a black and white picture? Thank you very much. (sorry to be so nosey, but its fascinating!)
didn't make sense. for one, gorshin came across like he was doing richard burton imitating cagney. and i think the most of segal, but he should have stuck to his banjo playing, although he did a nice jig on his way up.
I know Gorshin & Kirk Douglas are gone,(then again, so is Cagney) but these three ought to have either refused or hung their heads in utter shame afterwards, cuz their impressions -individual & collective- stank. no way around it, much as I truly Love 'em, whoever coerced\blackmailed them into this utterly putrid exhibition, I hope they got away scot free.
One of the best things I have ever seen This humor takes a little to get used to but after watching loads of Gorshin videos I’ve been able to appreciate the humor loads more
there is no greater compliment than having someone impersonate you. and James cagney was the one everyone did. a true legend gone but never forgotten.
These three were having a good time. Frank, Kirk, and George were pure comedy and put on. What a treat. Did not know George Segal could sing.

vary good speaker / Gentlemen.
He threw Cagney's palm tree over board and it has been awkward between them ever since.
@@bluebird3281 Yeah! lmao
AFI could make money hand over fist if they sold DVDs of all the old AFI Life Achievement Awards, IMO.

Cagney did say 'you dirty yellow bellied rat' in the 1932 film 'Taxi'.
Now that is seriously funny...
Last I heard, Mr. Douglas just turned 94.
He turned 103 today.
@@isaacgrazian1069 He is dead now.
Hello, was your mum an Australian? If she was, how did your mum come about the autographed photo of Mr Cagney? That is incredible. Thank you.
What are you talking about? Kirk Douglas is still alive!
Alas...

Cagney never said "you dirty rat" in any movie.
A fact that Cagney addressed when he gave his speech that night.

You idiot it's seven years later and Douglas is still alive, also your comment justifies the second word in MY COMMENT
I'm I the only one who finds this embarrassing.
