In classical piano performance, I look for uniqueness, and not just a good playing of a piece. You bring your unique interpretation very effectively here. You have little "hanging pauses", and wonderful pianissimos which are two of the features that render your interpretation unique. Your body language is unique, not because it's never seen before, but because in your body language you make if clear that you are not after self-glorification, which you abundantly deserve, but you are visibly aching to bring Chopin's unspeakable message of love, yearning, and romanticism, with its full meaning, not just romance,to us your audience. Olga, you are a blessing and you are a phenomenal performer.
Is not a gift, is a training, a huge sacrifice. The gift doesn't have any kind of sacrifice, just have it. Playing piano as she does suppose hundred of hour during lot´s of years. Just let's appreciate the gained talent made of sacrifice and perseverance. After all, this is her passion, but also her work.
Ok, but she is very good with her work, and her pratice she conquer with all the best she finds and receive! Music is not only in arts, music is in everywhere, and because this detail she can act like the best on the world, because she has the best inside her to perform with all her soul. She does not need think very much to do all she does, and only this is the way to virtuositity. Virtuosity is present with highest result on the smallest thinking, and I just know it! Sometimes, she plays like Gulda, and this is a good way to a better virtuosity...
@@carlosmdp255 there are tons of people with training who play like robots with no soul. some people get it, others don't and you can't teach it. it IS a gift, no matter how you analyze the word
Not sure if you guys gives a shit but if you're bored like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend lately xD
She made with this sonata a masterclass on November 11th 2017 with Alona Milner in Tel Aviv University and showed to attentive Alona the mysteries of that piece . . .
this wonderful piano player is not only an excellently virtuose for her high technique but also she's a huge musician which puts her heart on each performance.
This combination of beauty - Olgas beauty and Chopins beauty - seems to be a for me overwhelming combination. Olgas skill in playing Chopin is undoubtedly perfect, and so I stay in this playing, enchanted till the end.
I don't normally pay attention to the body language of performers as everyone has their own style and responds to the music and the instrument in their own way, but I have to say that watching you play is as much a part of the performance as listening. I have never been so infatuated with a performer's interpretation and style as yours. I appreciate your talent and your love for the music you play. It is not so common to find people so moved by music these days. Thank you.
Took the words right out of my mouth - I agree - she is heaven sent - a very special angel. She brings tears to my eyes like no other - Thank you so so much Olga Scheps.
Imposible no enamorarse...!!!!! BRAVO!
In one word it's . . . Fluidity. Olga seems to play with a fluidity few in this world possess and she pours her whole body into her playing. Her expressiveness is so very warm and connected. To have just a thimble-full of her hard-fought talent would be a gift beyond measure. What a treasure she is to our world.
Herzlichen Dank. Gruesse aus Brasilien!!!
The interpretation of this sonata is very captivating, unique, and full of spiritual depth. More epic but dramatic, too ,full of reflection and intellectual distance, leading to the affirmation of the world in the fourth movement. The work was created in the Village of Nohant (France), where the 44-year-old Chopin, who had health problems, found inspiration and the care of George Sand helped him considerably. Inspired by You. Thank you Olga.
It is a joy listening to Olga Scheps in this, when she is perhaps at the age of 29? Such a mature interpretation, and with so much poetry in it. All that is significant for Chopin she takes well care of, and I can nothing but admire her playing.
Yes we men have that tendency to adore women, with or without make up. How stupid! PS As you are an often seen commentator I take this opportunity to congratulate you for your comments. Respect! And greetings from Sweden.
Exceptionnel !
Superb. I wonder how she liked this particular piano? I had the impression it made her work harder in the upper registers, though I suppose it might just be my audio... Always inspired by great pianists to believe I must be able play my simple little 4 minute Chopin piece if they can produce half an hour of concentration and magnificence and beauty with such a tough piece and without a single blunder!
After listening more than a couple of times, fascinated by Olgas playing, I also have to say this: What a wonderful sound in this uptaking! This Steinway can bloom the way it wants, probably due to some clever sound engineers. Thank you so much!
It is not too nearly mic-ed, and still not to far away. You can hear the room responding to her playing, as it often is in a listening position, beeing there. Still the details of her playing are taken care of. It sounds very natural, and that is as I see it, the best mark.
Since I was a boy I like classic, romantic, and baroque music, it depends on education and habits learned from home. I mean what our parents let us to listen to or recommend to listen to. I was born in a hard life world, surrounded by trash music, however I had the opportunity to listen to an enormous variety of styles and now I have the skills to teach music to beginners and intermediate students for pianoforte. And I love it.
A diamond in the sand you are! At the very end I also had tears in my eyes, from the beauty of your performance and from your emotions. Your interpretation sends a message of love and hope and that everything is posible in God's creation. Your work is monumental and transcendental. The best!
When it comes to the 3rd movement of this piece, I always come back to Ms Scheps. She owns the 3rd. It has to be played by a woman, in particular, she.
Thank you, I feel the same. Without big words I also like her playing very much.

You have eloquently stated that which I could not. Complete agreement.
