I am using Haven Kendrick's Soundpack! Download it here: / haven_kendrick . To install, simply locate your Mechwarrior Online installation folder, open "Game" and you will see lots of .pak files. Drop the sound mod file into that folder with the other .pak files, restart the client, and you are good to go!

Oooooo...... I run this build on the energy roughneck, and the snubs do surprisingly well. These quirks must make it even better

one thing i like about your videos is you still show defeats even though you are a badass player. it shows it can be fun even if the tactic fails.

6:20 baradul feeding the Nascar instead of doing what we used to 5+ years ago when it was a strategic game and just set up a reverse slope firing line.
I’ve had a quad snub catapult for months, people always laughed until I killed them.
Speaking and speaking and speaking of positioning while no attack goes out. And then they outmanouver all of you. It was a poor battle.
Been wanting to try this build for a while; nice to see it's decently effective. Requesting a Hunchback-4P with 6 light PPCs.
He's done it already. Looks like a ghetto blaster on the hunchback
I have a similar loadout except i have ER PPCs in the arms instead of snubnose.
Can you do a Marauder with Snubnose PPCs? Not four, just a pair.
That build cannot be configured the way you showed it.
Can't believe how manageable that cooling looks. 4xPPC is super toasty even on clan assaults.
Clan ERPPCs generate 5 more heat per shot than snub nose or vanilla IS PPCs (both around 10 heat), so a volley of 4 snubs is substantially cooler to begin with, then you add in cooling quirks which are usually a lot more generous to IS than clan mechs. You'd definitely cook yourself if you tried 4 ERPPCs on an IS mech though, since they produce 15 heat like their clan counterparts.
@@Yossarian762 Does this go for the IS Mech that can shoot off 3 Heavy PPCs with out Ghost heat? I can't remember which mech it was.
@@eldrenofthemist2492 AWS-8Q. HPPCs produce 15 heat like ERPPCs but it has fairly good heat quirks. Despite that heat management is still a pain until you get skilled up since you only fit about as many heat sinks as this Catapult but produce more heat per salvo.

The state of play (and the game population) lately is such that I feel as if I don't survive (I'm a top 10% player, but certainly not elite) my team is likely to throw the match after I die. So I take fewer risks to make sure I'm around to secure those critical kills late in the match. Still, the number of games where we lose even after I do 800, 900, even 1000 pts of dmg is irritating.

Baradul, BTW, if I were you I would also set up 3-4 weapon groups for left and right side peeking. It would have come in handy when you were pushing SNV in the first fight, when pushing kodiak in the second fight and a couple of times afterwards.
Considered playing with 4 snubs but it's just so hot...
And double u/ac10's with 4 mediums is so much more satisfying.
I have done this loadout i think, and quad ERPPC, and quad heavy PPC. Catapults are the best walking boxes i swear.
The Enemy team did not nascar. Which is why they won. I saw 2 whole tactics the enemy team used to win this fight.
First. They had some big guys stand at a distence at attack your nascaring team from range. Which Split your team up. allowing their team to focus down any who did not chase after the far away guys.
second. After you guys killed their long range team members. They were all ready gathered near you guys and coming to assist. Then when you guys tryed to nascar again. they mad a firing line. and focuse fired your allies down who were leading the Nascar. after that it was just a mop up work for your enemies.
Wait, HPG Manifold? Wasn't that second game Mining Collective? No worries.

4 PPC's would make for an unmatched fire-support mech

This game continues to circle the drain, as evidenced over and over by the skills of its player base becoming exponentially more garbage by the day. Wonder when PGI will finally take it out behind the shed and end its suffering.
When you have a good plan but everyone else prefers to feed themselves one at a time into a meat grinder!
Lights are so OP, I still say PGI's scaling makes them the same size as a protomech, PLUS they can carry more weapons then a 100 ton mech lol.

Try 2 x MRM 30 and 4 x ML for the Catapult. One of my favorite builds.
Tried that a while back. It's a Great set up. :) I play it like a pop tart. Come over a rig by walking or jump jet. Unload my MRMs. Then Back up in to cover again. Rinse and repeat. And you'll get far less return fire.

Second game is mining

The marauder with 2 heavy pics and 3 machine guns is fun. Since the H.PPC have a min range the machine guns cover that.
Nobody's going to be scared out of your minimum range by 3 machine guns though. I love HPPCs and I usually run a MAD-3R with 2 heavy PPCs and an AC10, it runs hot but if you grab every single heat-related skill on the tree it works. AC10 still doesn't scare people out of your min range but it's probably better than MGs, plus it can contribute to your alpha strike with the PPCs.
That’s a nice build. To me it’s not about alpha striking. More support build. Keep the fatties protected from lights. Once your armor is gone, MGs are scary.
@@undeadmonkey9122 All types of Machine guns are only scary if you have open armor. There not very useful, Other wise. At least that's my experience. I My self. Don't use Machine guns well. So I choice not to use them.
EldrenOfTheMist play one piranha and back stab someone. MGs are fun. Add flamers and MGs. It’s almost wrong, almost.
@@undeadmonkey9122 If I remember right. the Piranha Mechs can carry the most amount of Machine guns in game. HMG do 1.5 damage a sec. MG do 1 damage a sec. And LMG do I think 7 damage a sec. So when you have 8+ number of Machine guns. You can do some desent damage. even if the enemy your shoting has armor with no open armor. But I think 2-3 machine guns alone. Don't do enough damage to be afrade of. Like. When I ran a Catapult-K2 When I was shooting enemies with my 2 Stock Machine guns. For what It seemed to me. I may as well have not been firing at the enemy. It just doesn't do enough damage. to change the course of a fight. like 1v1.
Always have hated nascar. I feel its worst tactic
Beast way to beet a Nascaring team. Is to group up and make a Firing line. You focus fire the leading mechs in the enemy nascar. Which they are leading it. Because they are generaly fast. With little armor. and Perhaps also running Light/XL engines.
By doing this. You kill off their team one by one. as they come in to view. It's one of the easiest wins you'll get. But most teams. Mostly light/fast mech players. Just want to nascar to get the backstab attacks in to the biggest slowest mechs. Fast/light mechs most of the time don't want to shoot it out. Which is why this Bad tactic was born.
The team that stands it's ground against a nascaring team. wins.

@@douglasscharbrough2563 But there are times. No matter what you ask. The Nascar begins. and after so many games. with nascaring in a row. You just want to rage quite. Because each time you run an assault. the team nascars. :/ Leaving you to die.
Whenever I watch one of Baradul's Daily doses within 2 hours of its posting, I get low resolution. But any other video I watch before or after such video, and I get full resolution (so I know it's not my ISP). Not really complaining, I'm just wondering why.
The video takes time to render at youtube and the lowest rez pop up first.

Should try a corsair and mount at least one of every ac/2 class weapon on it (RAC2x?+UAC2x?+LBX2x?+AC2x?= ALL the AC/2!)
Which Corsair has at least 4 Ballistic Hardpoints? The best I've noticed was 3.
