what's wildly unbelievable is that after all the contesting and griefing, and both teams getting 3 to 0 points each round, both o7 and E8 did better than TSM.....

This is definitely on Zach. Costed his team by griefing o7 despite his coach and teammates not wanting to. In the end, o7 still placed higher than E8, TSM and Team Liquid, three NA teams that were favorites to win the tourney before LAN started. 😂
And Gnaske gets away scot free by celebrating, standing up and taunting whenever they won the contest just to let Aurora 3rd party them while theyre AFK

Don't understand the hate towards Gnaske, when you win 4 contest in a row and your opponent isn't switching POI. It doesn't matter if the poi originally belongs to E8, when you lose 4 contest in a row not switching POI is just griefing yourself(E8) and opponent(O7). If you're O7 and you win 4 contest in row, would you switch poi? obviously you wouldn't. 6:48 he state that "all of O7 wanted to do this" and "he was the one that didn't want to contest" (I''ll believe what he said until his team8 speak out).
edit: I do agree that he didn't take this finals too serious. When they won the contest, He was jumping and screaming like match was over and got 3rd partied instead of focusing on stabilizing.
it's not E8s poi though. Gnaske lands Ceto in EMEA, E8 lands Checkpoint in NA. The team that won the tournament landed Checkpoint and won.

Both teams were stubborn and did not take winning ALGS serious enough, that's what it is. But it does provide peak entertainment though, and ALGS does welcome that lol
What Gnaske said is pretty much "He said, She said" situation, BUT no way in hell those happened like how he is portraying, he is 100% embellishing Facts to make a GOOD STORY to make it more Entertaining & better from his POV.
Specially from viewers POV, it didn't even look like he wanted to win, he just wanted to win the contest, with how he was celebrating every time.
I think that’s always been his play style. Very high risk. But I think since this meta is so third party heavy, they knew they were going to be thirded every fight and lose anyways. That’s why they wanted e8 to leave. So they could play the game. And e8 wanted to do the same thing but got mopped.
If somebody is target contesting you, they're saying that they're better than you. His reaction would actually make more sense if what he said in this stream was true.
Except if u weren't doing it out ego why would u let teams kill you for free after the contest?
@@hoodyplz Of course it's ego. The point is to attack Zach's ego and force him out of the contest. If Gnaske has decided that the tournament is unwinnable so long as e8 is there, then this is the best decision to win. Zach's just something else.

07 didn’t win game 1. 2R1C third partied the contest when it was a 1v1 still, but Zap had more health actually.

Winning a contest in Finals isnt shit if you're jumping around like a goof and letting Aurora or somebody else just 3rd you for free. Gnaske seemed like he just wanted to win the contest and that was good enough, trying to be a showman to gain more viewers cause that was just braindead play imo.

So Gnaske starts off maturely and being humble then proceeds to make ad hominen attacks pretty lame. Also on another planet if he thinks they had a chance of winning.
Gnaske has always been a bit delusional like that. He doesn't have what it takes to win, which is mostly due to his childish mental and behaviour. He can easily be mistaken for a 16 year old the way he acts.
E8 not leaving their POI isn't trolling O7, the same way O7 wouldn't have left if E8 was up. Both teams would rather risk dying on their POI in the hopes of having a banger game instead of playing out of a POI they havent practiced rotates etc on. Even teams like TSM have said, that they will die on their POI if they have to. Gnaske is just pulling his special impression farming by saying "we have never lost a contest on LAN" as if he hasnt been kicked out of his POIs multiple times during international scrims lmao
Out of both teams, E8 played the best. Finishing placement doesnt matter when youre 15th and 16th place with a 4 point difference.

o7 killed e8 in games 1 through 5, even on World's edge. E8 killed o7 once and yeah, had a good game, but also it pulled Jurassic/Pylon, that's a free zone.
The game o7 won was impressive as hell. The res and clutch? Clears E8s win. O7 also beat E8 in the winners bracket, winning the tiebreaker, so all in all o7 won more fights, beat them in winners bracket, and outplaced them in the end.

Of course he is mad because in finals they got thirded right after killing E8 almost every time.
