Thanks Paulisima: Don’t let your twin sister steal the show!! Jaja. You sé que no tienes una gemela. 😂❤ If you did, I would have asked for her WhatsApp number. 😮. Mil gracias. Súper bien hecho!!
Hola Paulísima. Si vienes a mi casa, por favor, no prendas la tele. Te dejo encenderla, pero prenderle fuego, no. I'm not rich! She actually wants to burn my TV. Stop her! (Prender is used just in some American countries). In Spain it's encender la tele. lol
Though ALL languages in the world are spoken by beautiful people, Spanish is a special langauge because it not only belongs to the proud Latino community, but to everyone else, especially Americans, so I simply wish to say, Gracia's for teaching, reminding and sharing what belongs to ALL of US,,,SPANISH,,,,So to you MI HERMANA, *Stay proud, safe, and strong,,,,A dear fan,,,,Gerald 🇵🇷 Baltimore,md...
Gracias mucho! ¡Exactamente como lo estaba pensando! a las 3:44 => ¡habla con hablantes nativos! ¡Ojalá, Pao, hablaras más español - menos inglés! Lo digo con admiración por tu trabajo. ¡Tú Molas!
Spanish words are long. I forget vowels and syllables in them. It sometimes helps me to learn the base of words to remember the longer words that sprout from them. For example, "fastidioso" is just a bunch of random syllables unless you know the slightly shorter word "fastidiar". And "demasiado" is a bunch of sounds but it helps if you already know what "demás" means. But how do you memorize a crazy long word like "herramienta". Well, I see herrar means to shoe a horse (is that when Spain started using tools?). Horseshoes don't incorporate into my daily life but now I have a better chance of remembering the word because I can stick the *completely unrelated* Spanish word "mienta" on the end of it. See how this works? I some cases I've had to associate long Spanish words with similar English words or I could never remember them. My favorite is when I want to say "similar" I think of "parasite" which leads me to the completely unrelated four syllable (!) word "parecido". Maybe someday I won't have to do this. Similarly, I've found it helps to learn several similar but unrelated Spanish words together. There are a bunch of simple verbs that start with "ll" and had to learn them together and memorize their differences otherwise I'd remember the wrong one. These three techniques have helped me more than anything you suggested in this video and it's how I learned German thirty years ago.
yo no olvido las palabras en espanol por que me gusta mucho esta idioma . Pero yo olvido ahorita mi nombre :) gracias profesora por tus videos . Idioma espanol es mi vida pero mi grammatica es muy malo
The first example totally caught my attention. Everybody in America calls the remote-control a "remote". My screwed up brain has always called it a "control" ...'cuz that's exactly what it is. A control. It just happens to function wirelessly or "remotely!" So listen up you 380+ million English-Speaking North Americans. It's a control! Next, we gotta fix our spelling. Cuz Inglish spelling reelly sux.
I've been trying your chunking method for over a year and I'm sorry to say... that basically you're telling me that memorizing MORE words is easier? It's not working for me at all unfortunately. It's just waaaaay easier to know only ONE word, cause then you just say that ONE word and the Spanish people ultimately can fill in the blanks. But if I have to memorize a bunch of topic specific PHRASES, they don't ever apply to my particular situation. So, I can't use them... Trust me, I speak 3 languages already, Japanese, Portuguese and French, and I learned them simply by immersion and listening... No gimmicks that don't actually have any research behind them. Having said all this, I do love this channel, because the topics are great. It's just the chunk pushing that's annoying
i think chunks are great honestly, just because something doesn't work for you doesn't mean it's the same for everyone In this chunk that she gave, "me pasas el control" of course you won't always use that specific phrase but then you have "me pasas *algo* " and there, a chunk, where you can just fill in the word, me pasas la botella, me pasas el libro, me pasas el lápiz. Try changing your approach to using chunks so that they can be more effective for you, and if it really doesn't work then that's okay, just find another method to learn words.
I've found that chunks are worthless for learning unless I know every single word in the chunk except for the one I need to learn. I've found it's used by instructors who can only teach words by using them in phrases.

Constantly forgetting... My second language, and use it less... Forget weird words, at times...
EL DESE DE LA DESA.
del dese jejeje
En España se usa la palabra "chisme" para decir "thingamajig".
Quiero hablar contigo!!!
I though "turn on the light" was "enciende la luz"? You use "prender" What is the difference?
Las dos sirven 😊
Nothing, in my country we use prender more than encender but it's the same
Aqui utilizan la palabre paga y apaga hasta mucho tiempo. Pues hay dos días me dije, prende la luz. Grrrr😝🤣😘
Pásame el mando (el control de televisión)
para poder cambiar el canal. El mando es más fácil que el control de televisión.
Si😊 solo que en Mexico decimos “control” ejjeje

Me gusta el método de los chunks. Cada escuela tiene su própio método para enseñar español.
