- Colonel Blair and his pilots aboard the Durango-class carrier BWS Intrepid, race to intercept Admiral Tolwyn who is aboard the TCS Vesuvius, one of the Terran Confederation's new supercarriers. It's destination: Earth, and the Great Assembly, where Tolwyn is set to encourage a vote of war with the Border Worlds. Stopping him is crucial to preventing an all-out civil war and the massacre of millions of innocent civilians. Blair and his allies must succeed, or die trying..
(I tried to edit the cutscenes to make the movie as flowing as possible, but in the end there were a few missions inbetween these scenes. This is a game after all! :))
So many memories. Love this game, one of the best in my childhood.
Seeing that other supercarrier jump in to the rescue still gives me goosebumps :X WC4 was (is) so epic!
Me too!
Me three
The rollercoaster of emotions in WC4 never gets old
Wing Commander 2 will always be my favourite, but I'll be damned if Eisen showing up in the St. Helens isn't a textbook defenition of a Crowning Moment of Awesome.
Tvtropes.org fan?
Damn right.
this was the best wing commander game!... prophecy had kick ass cinematography but the plot was asstastic
Such great action! Love it when Capt Eisen comes in with the calvary charge.
Goosebumps moment
Wing Commander was a massive part of my early gaming experience. This was an excellent nostalgia kick (nice moral choice re: Ella, too!).
Thanks a lot for this, made my day.
one of the best games of the best game sage i have ever played i miss the old days
LOVED THIS GAME. Nothing would be please me more than an updated re-release.
This game was as close to perfect as it comes! The story and style were both excellent. That moment when the St. Helens jumps in and saves the day is one of the best cinematic "cavalry" moments I've ever seen. The cast was also SUPER good...especially the sexy Intrepid helmsperson, played by Beverly Castaldo (I don't know why, but lo, it is very good). "Panther", aka Elizabeth Barondes, is also a hot little badass.
Yeah I’m a little upset I was given the option to make a move on Panther like I did Ginger Lynn in the previous game
Wasn’t given the option that is
@@mattieaflo Looks like Maniac was the one to try that but, "he seems to have an issue with the words 'no' and 'not interested.'"
Thanks for uploading this! This was one of the hottest games ever. Especially because of the storyline and scenes like that. Colonel Blair always took the hard way, the moral way. It was really a pleasure to play him.
4:12 her reaction is perfect
3:48--> Alright Colonel, let's make things interesting, FULL 360!!
4:09 - Second Biggest "Oh F*#K!!!!" moment in the whole game, right after Malcolm McDowell steps forward as the Black Lance leader...
When I first saw that many years ago, I did a spittake beyond anything and lunged for the joystick...thats whole damn involved I was in the game!
I love how Pliers keeps calling Blair "kid" when the two are about the same age! lol
Pliers is an genius. He even came up with a Cloaking Device, and on his spare time even. He can call me 'kid' all day. :)
I have the original CD version.. well.. original 6 CDs!
Will be going through the cutscenes again soon to see if I can make a movie out of any of them.
4:12 Not only is Sosa cute, but you have to love the combo of "what the hell" and "oh shazbot" that happens here.
That was an amazing game. It's funny how the acting was much better in the WC4 game than in the movie. It's a shame they didn't get the same cast back
I remember being a kid at 4:45, thinking "oh no, it's over", and then cheering as only a child can. "GET AWAY FROM HER, YOU BITCH!"
damn i miss this epic game...
Holly Gagnier was already an eye-catcher when she appeared on `Emergency Room´ and `Baywatch´.
Rumor has it she played a cameo on `Stargate: Atlantis´ and `Babylon 5´ too, but I got no idea about the episodes.
My parents called me insane when I spent 180 DM on Wing Commander 3 and another 150 on part 4 and now 150€ on SW:TOR - but a boy (even if he´s pushing his 40s like me) needs his hobbies.

Great memories, but the Wing Commander series cannot compare in their immersiveness to the Privateer (same franchise, different story line). Only the Privateer allows you to feel the vastness of space in your bones.
one of my first games after Doom 2 and C&C Tiberian Dawn. I had to reprogram the DOS-Files just to run the game with 8Mb RAM. I still don't know how I did manage to do it when I was just 14 years old.^^
I did enjoy the extra variety in fighter craft that WCIII had, but the extra weapon variety somewhat made up for it.
I think Malcom McDowell was brilliant in this game, especially in the final trial scene. Then again the whole cast was pretty damn good. It's amazing the difference that using real sets makes as well compared to WCIII.
Would've liked to see more fighting between the St. Helens and Vesuvius though! Ah well. Can't have everything.
Sosa(the tactical officer? on Blair's ship) is hot...
@Noah Levine Yes, the pilot looked good as well.
Such an awesome game! Trivia. This was, at the time of its making (and I think it still holds the record), was the expensive computer game ever produced. Want to know #2? Our friends with WCIII:The Heart of the Tiger!
I would have loved if it had been the Victory that showed up to rescue Blair.
yea i loved sosa lol but yeah problem with the St Helens is she was not ready enough to be used so no doubt the Vesuvius Won DAMN Towlyn!
@StacieStockman "THE ARMY OF THE DEAD" ala Lord of The Rings.
BEST SCENE! Agreed...
@IcyJoey Hahaha 6 CDs, I remember that, and I enjoyed every minute of switching disks because the game was f*ckin worth it!!!
@arjl880
i think the dvd version was a rare print. i wasn't able to get a copy
2:59 Even putting the moral issues aside, the Border Worlds need Confed public opinions on their side. Vapourizing Ella would introduce an uncertainty to that.
It was too much tough compared to WCIII, and fighters really sucked as design and power, but the story was really great.
Thx for video.
And Malcolm Mcdowell really shines in this role as fanatic, not that he is a lovable man in previous chapter when he commanded Confederation fleet
The dragon was superior to anything in WC3. Made the game easy imo
When things go from bad to *worse*

Pliers seems like he's in his late 50s and Blair his mid to late 30s.
Tolwyn (full 180) "When you have a junkyard dog snapping at your heels the best thing to do is turn around and kick it in the chops!" - classic line!!! 5/5
Just made me want to get a junkyard dog and kick it in the chops!! :)
Awesome!!! I played that game about 10 times and just love it.
Do you own the DVD Version? I searched it fora long time.
The Vesuvius should have torn the Intrepid to shreds in its first salvo.
Yes but I'm sure Tolwyn was thinking "I could destroy them in one salvo but where's the fun in that? I like to toy with my prey"
@IcyJoey too, got the 6cds.. thx to dvd and bluray handling is much easier^^
Wonder why PS3 has no space shooters?
well the excalibur fighter wasnt that bad
@joel1975 cute-hot nerd girls are cool
this game is so awesome I don't know y they don't remake to ps4 stupid fucker
