His voice.. his voice.. his voice 😂 😂 yep we hear ya! He can literally sing anything and it comes so easy to him! He just belts out ridiculous high notes without straining or even going into falsetto. The more you see he can do the more you’ll be blown away! “When the War is Over” 2003 “the Last Time” concert is a standout performance of his.
You have got to listen to John singing this with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. He is also such a great man. He is very very funny, could be a stand up comedian. He is a great horseman. Very kind humble loves his wife from teenagers. We adore him. Does a lots for charity. I am sobbing now. Always do when John sings.
He is definetly one of the best male singers of all time. He should have been more notised world wide. And now 30 years later with UA-cam he is finaly getting the cred he deserves.
Thanks for your fun time. I am Australian. A few years ago the Australian music industry musicians and singers voted for the best Australian singer of all time. John Farnham was voted No 1 above fully trained opera singers. John Farnham has perfect pitch and that’s why he is known as the VOICE. When Freddie Mercury died John Farnham was the first person in the world that they asked to try out. He didn’t get the gig but it was an honour. Love Michelle.
As you ride down this rabbit hole you will discover his voice is totally recognisable. You will soon discover that he is known as THE VOICE. His arrangement of Help has been covered by many others ie. Tina Turner. He has great instincts with arranging songs to suit his amazing voice. My favourite version of this song is with the MSO. But this one is cool. Cos he rarely plays an instrument and it's a great for us to see that
Yeah, as a Beatles fan and songwriter myself, I love this arrangement, taking an up-tempo pop song and turning it into a power rock ballad. His version of this - and many of his best songs - is featured on his concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and will blow you away. Farnsey has been entertaining us for fifty years...now it's time for the rest of the world to enjoy.
This is the only time I’ve seen John play the piano, he kills this song. The best version though is the one he sings with The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra
This is not one of the best versions of John singing this song. This is John doing his party trick and playing this on the piano and singing. The best version I reckon is when he sings it with the MSO. Keep the Farnsey reactions coming because he is The Voice and we Aussies love him…watch your channel grow when you do!!! He started singing in the 60’s! John voice is unique and he is know as The Voice here in Oz!!
Thank you, Shakes - P, for your reaction to John Farnam and the song Help by The Beatles. John Farnam's voice was amazing. John's voice was so formal and magic, as it came out of this super legend.
John really needs to be up front, out on stage, in this and in any song he sings. That's because he is a wonderful showman and is soooo charismatic and electric in his performance. His interaction with his audience is amazing and they are with him all the way. His powerful voice goes from A2 to G5 and he can sing in just about any style.
FYI Sadie (Sadie, the cleaning lady) was a hit when he first broke into the industry as a teen - when he was Johnnie Farnham. It sort of ended up a millstone around his neck. if you do listen to the Melbourne Symphony version, you will hear the crowd chanting "Sadie" as this song starts. He would occasionally sing it for the audience, but he at least acted as though he didn't like to sing it.
The arrangement came about because he was learning to play it on the piano. If you listen more to John you will recognise his voice as soon as he starts singing. Please react to anything live with him.
John Farnham said in a interview; that he had heard that John Lennon did listen John Farnham version but he never received any feedback if he like it or not . Help John Farnham was released in August 1980 at that time Lennon was in studio making Double Fantasy with Yoko Ono that was released in October 1980 sadly Lennon was killed in December 1980 . But Yoko did add one Farnham’s live versions to and VCR video album celebrating John Lennon career ten year anniversary of his death 1990 . Paul McCartney has given John Farnham praise and many credits over his rearrangement of Help . Saying John Farnham with emotional deliverance gives Help it’s true lyrical depth renewed . Something were The Beatles obligated pop version failed to do which frustrated them specially John Lennon because it was his first self reflecting song he wrote.
PS: The top sax player- as usual - the absolute best musicians queued up to play with John! US musicians like Ray Charles too. The Melb Symphony orchestra were in awe when he sang with him.
