Even though most of the German scenes were done in Hamburg they did some in Duesseldorf, a city now which I’ve lived in for 13 years, sometimes while crossing the Oberkasseler bridge over the Rhine on the tram I’m reminded of Nev waiting on the platform to catch it, a platform that’s still there.
One of my favourite shows at the time and you really felt like you knew them personally because they were so down to earth and although a little exaggerated in certain scenes it felt real enough at the time and your could see yourself doing some of the thinge they dI'd in the show. A brilliant series.
Loved this programme- bring a plumber in the 80s-wow what a greAt mix of trades who tried to make good money to feed the bairnes and family back home-true to life /I did it myself !
Another classic British show much missed!, the cast worked so well together and the characters were so likeable and it could be hilariously funny or equally dramatic and sad, they just don't make shows like anymore!
😅😊 I remember this.U.K series with great fondness. Sadly like many enjoyable shows, this never received a repeat showing here in New Zealand..Nowever afew best-of episodes were released here on DVD 📀 10 plus years ago.............
Great programme and great that you’ve covered it, but I think you’re doing some of the guys a disservice. For instance Leonard Osborne had a successful music career and starred in the film Evita with Madonna, while Timothy Spall starred alongside Tom Cruise in the last Samurai.
Hi, thanks for your input. Yes, I agree that I may doing a disservice, but this is not meant to be an in-depth look at all the cast and their complete works but a short reminder of TV shows of the past and where the cast are now. If I make the video too long, people won’t watch it. Of course, it is subjective. Thanks for watching.
I totally loved this programme
Heartwarming stuff I thought
A 1980s classic!
Loved it ,normal men doing there jobs and having fun .it's what life used to be .shame its gone

They were in Australia, and I have them all. I'm surprised the DVDs weren't available there.
Robin of Sherwood might be a good one to do.
Would have liked to know what happened to German cast
