I miss really well written shows, like Blake 7. It'd be interesting if a remake as done with today technology, but keeping the writing sharp.

I can't believe Sean Blowers was only 25 when he first played John Hallam!!! My favourite characters were Sicknote, Bayleaf, Recall, Hallam and Malcolm. Hyper was also a really good character in the later series, though I didn't like Series 10-14 too much honestly.

Loved this show, the stories and characters. (But NOT Freddie Fisher!).

I loved the series in the 70s. In fact it was probably largely responsible for me trying my hand in the music business in the 1980s (not particularly successfully though). Oddly enough Charlotte Cornwell started following me on Twitter out of the blue and we had a couple of chats about the state of the entertainment business. She had a lot of concern about how people from less well off backgrounds were being side-lined and the amount of nepotism in the world of acting. I didn't realise she had died for a few months until I noticed she's disappeared from Twitter. I never did get around to telling her how much I liked her performance in this series. such a shame she died so relatively young.

Charlotte Cornwell had quite a big theatre career , particularly in Shakespeare. She was well respected by fellow actors and ofcourse outstanding as Anna in Rock Follies as she crumbled psychologically.

I just loved Heartbeat , what an awesome program, the music, everything I didn’t like it when they killed someone off but that’s all part of life and drama . Thank you everyone involved for making it 😊 I liked all the characters too , I think Gina , Oscar and Phil were my favourite and Claude 🩵

My dad got me into watching porridge, what an awesome program. His favourite character was officer mackay . Mine was Fletcher and Lennie Gobler 🤩🩵 loved going straight too but but ended suddenly because of the death of Richard Beckingsale, so so sad 😢

It would be really hard to find the kind of method actors who could do the same, great job of character driven story telling.

One of my mums absolute favourites. She’d sit down for probably the first time all day doing her knitting and watching the going’s on of Meg and Sandy, Carlos Raphael the chef, Josephina his wife and Amy Turtle - the gossip. Mum died in 1972 so the show must’ve been running for decades.

Roger looks so much more attractive, and Ben. I wonder whether Zoe Wanamaker has had work done, she’s aged very well.

Sad that more of the actors from Emmerdale farm are dead than alive. May they all RIP.😢
