2:02 OOF... Gentlemen, you hurt me with your calling of Push (2018) an "oldie." 😆 7:31 Huzzah Copenhgen! 🪟🧜🏻 23:41 Ra is so good. ☀25 Century's edition is fantastic.
Okay I do have to apologize for the “oldie” comment, in my head the game was from 1999 but I might have mixed it up with Ra, I would not call a 2018 game an oldie!
Fav game played in ‘23 : Shadow Kingdoms of Valeria Fav Go To Game: Ark Nova on BGA A video on The Magnificent would be interesting to me as I hadn’t heard of it before, the complex games often need a little advertising to entice ppl to try it and it seems to have attractive table presence.
Love this list! Long shot is so much fun! I picked up my copy at my local Barnes and Noble in the states. They have a good selection of board games there. Playing a lot of New York Zoo at our house these days. Still working through games I picked up after watching your Polyominovember videos. ❤
Thanks for the video! · *PUSH* is definitely a fun filler push-your-luck game where you _don't_ want to roll the die. :) · *Copenhagen* definitely has that Tetris feel, but also the better feeling of completing a line of windows. · Soooo glad you got *Long Shot: The Dice Game.* I also was able to get a copy (from my FLGS) last year. · *Llamaland* _was_ the polyomino-month gift I gave my sister this past Xmas. She, my dad and I played it NYE; she enjoyed it lots. :) · *Ra* was probably the very first Reiner Knizia game I was introduced to when I joined the hobby. Have a copy of the Rio Grande Games version. Should get it played sometime soon. Although I finally got the opportunity to play Wingspan, I'd say my favorite game I've played in 2023 was *High Score* by Reiner Knizia. Just the various ways each round can play out with the rolls of seven dice is just 'chef's kiss'. :) Favorite go-to game? Still got to go with *Kingdomino.* Still the one I've taught to and played with the most.
Some great games listed here. I only own Copenhagen from these lists, which really need to play again. I have had My Shelfie on my list to buy since I first saw the game. I have been seeing Nana mentioned so often over the last month, but not available here in Australia from what I can tell. Wonder woods looks super cute and I also like the look of Long Shot. My most played game of 2023 was Cascadia.
I, too, discovered The Magnificent at the end of 2023 and really like it! Question: Have you guys played with the SNØ Expansion? I'm really curious about it.
Castles of Burgundy, the box and the art is iffy. But the game is sooo fun. It instantly clicked with me. Favorite go to game is Kingdomino :) I love that game way more that I should.
Question of the Day: What is your favorite game that you played in 2023? What is your favorite go to game?

Not to worry. Games can come and go so quickly, it is hard to keep track. In many ways, 2018 was a long time ago. Keep up the good work. 👌🏻

Great picks! We’ll definitely look into it we’d certainly love to show the game off and win more people over to it, it’s quite well made!

Cascadia is such a lovely game! I’m so happy to hear you’ve enjoyed it many times ❤️❤️❤️
I love Artisans of Splendent Vale! It needs more attention! The story, gameplay, and components are amazing.
Couldn't agree more! We can’t wait to continue our journey there.
Great list! I loved the crossover dance 🤩🥳
Thank you so much!
I love Atiwa and loved Illya's crossover dance!
Sometimes a dance is just what’s needed lol

We have not! I was not aware that it even existed , will have to look into it 🥰
Nana is great. Love your lists
Thank you so much 😍

King Domino is definitely one of those games that feels right! Castles is also lots of fun! Great choices
Probably Nana for me. edit: I did not finish your list before I made this comment haha!
Well that’s a great coincidence! Nana is so much fun!
ik him showing my age but what do you mean by crunchy?
Great question it’s a bit jargony! It’s challenging or crunches your brain I believe is the intention.
so good 💖😗
Right? So many lovely games
Nana is pronounced naw-naw
Thank you for the correction! I have heard it both ways and wasn’t too sure
