- Blue Crabs are very common in Florida and they are very expensive to buy. So we figured that we'd go catch our own. This is a short "how to" video on how to catch Blue Crabs and features some of the equipment that we use to accomplish this. We also give you cooking directions at the end.
Excellent video, guys! Damn near professional with the video quality and lack of annoying background noise.
I really appreciate and enjoyed your video on crabbing. You've made everyone feel like they're out with you guys. Thank you for sharing your time.
we used to do this so much in panama city and bay county. hundreds each day! We used a recipe from a thai women that was married to a friend. lots of garlic cloves, paprika, thyme and olive oil. Then saute' hot - not water at all - for about 10 minutes depending on size of batch and pot. We would place then in upside down - their backs on the bottom. The spices and herbs and flavors are better absorbed that way the women said. Then add in some sweet white wine - not a lot. Salt and pepper and some red pepper flakes.
love that the people in Florida are now doing what us in Maryland started
Awesome vid made me remember a time I took my wife out in Midway GA and using a canoe with an outboard is genius.
Excellent vid! I love crabbing but I beer tried dip netting. I'm gonna try it one day! Thanks for vid!
Thank you very much! It's a great hobby. What we did for the traps which I didn't put in the video, we bought chicken at the store, put it in the trap in the water and then went to go crabbing. 3-4 hours later, we came back and retrieved our traps and I think we got about 9 crabs that day.
awesome video and looks like you folks had a perfect day
