Where was this RR at, what country? Was it parted before being destroyed? I figured out of 300 that less than 290 would survive in the next decade

New Zealand has 2x of these and no one has bought them yet! They're so expensive almost $60k NZD for one and then the 2016 Type R are $80k NZD. Crazy!! If I won lotto I would definitely buy the Mugen RR purely for the NA VTEC.
I feel you , this particular car cost $106k NZD when it landed . Yet in a week or two all sold .

NZ has about a dozen now. More than half of them are in Auckland.
Ofcourse it's expensive. Because this car its not same as normal FD2R
This is pretty cool. I like the Honda Integra DC5 Type R a lot too. I don't think you are an idiot for modding the car for more performance, I think you are a hero for saving a car that was in a bad shape and making it into a special machine with no equal.

I'm excited for you. I live in America and rare Hondas are hard to find here. I'm a proud owner of a mugen si. In America it was the best I could afford. My Google+ has picks. Nice video and car buddy.

if you're going to mod the car to the point of internals it's best getting a regular civic si then mod it. Way cheaper. I guess he just wants it for the badge. The mugen RR already comes with upgraded camshaft.

The good and the bad thing about these cars is that they are extremely difficult to look after,cause of the rarity and almost non existent after market parts access compared to let's say BMW M3. They are unique,reliable,fun to drive,and one is for sure,you won't see them in every corner,but if changing your brake pads will cost a fortune and weeks to deliver,let alone anything more complicated,it's big pain the ass.
You can get aftermarket bits, but why would you want to change the double RR. If you need parts for one of these, i do believe you have too prove you have one, before mugen issues the parts you need.
