You missed the joke, Ron literally meditated there. Meditation IS breathing with minimal thoughts in your head, Ron literally mastered meditation on his first try and he doesn't even realize it. That's the joke, that he actually did meditate without knowing about it.

Their have been several indigenous tribes and many towns in the far north that have lived of off almost entirely meat and fish with very little supplements, mainly in the form of alcohol for drinking. So his health is accurate.
North American Native Americans if there in the US or First Nations if there in Canada are not indigenous. They crossed over a land bridge that used to connect what is today Alaska to Siberia. They are immigrants just like the rest of us.
