What a great farmerJason is caring for the wildlife on his property & even transplanting trees for it! So unlike those huge monoculture areas in our WA wheatbelt that were stripped completely of native vegetation, are merely wheatgrass meadows for part of the year & manmade deserts for the remainder!
Thanks mate, North Central Victoria this way. Great video. I feed 7-8 magpies ALDI MINCE ($1,000 per year) & I can hand-feed the mothers when they are nesting. They build their nests where they can see my curtains move in the morning & over they come. Water provided & a BIRD BATH to get rid of LICE etc .Great channel, THANKS FOR YOUR CONTENT.
I have some Willie wagtails building a nest on top of my clothesline! It's in direct sunlight all day and no covering.. Is this okay? Should I move it or place a birdbox somewhere to encourage them to use that instead?
@@PurebloodKnight Obviously a couple of Townies with no knowledge of wildlife. Leave the little blighters alone! Willy Wagtails DO NOT nest in birdboxes! Their spider web nests are always built out on slim branches etc which won't support the weight of most snakes. An umbrella-type covering to shield them from the prying eyes of predatory birds though would be a help.
Outstanding little acrobats... catching most of their insect prey in flight (fly catcher) their tail size perfect to make manoeuvres in quick directions.... even while sitting their tail moving has them ever ready to wing it for the chase...

Jas, Jas, Jas. We all need a bit more Jason in our lives. That was awesome. Made for the camera and a plethora of information to match. Love it ♥️

There's no Willie Wagtails where I grew up... I wouldn't know
What do they eat?
Insects only
But why do they wag their tails so much? Because it's fun I suppose.
