I really fell in Love with the Type-8! I paid for the stellar edition, which is used for mining and, I decided to buy a second Type-8 which I'll use for Trade..
In one day, I finished upgrading two suits from Grades 3 and 4 up to Grade 5. I also unlocked Yarden Bond easily as the Smear Campaign Plans she wants can now be given out as mission rewards, and not only does she want only 5 (down from 8), the number of Plans you can get from a single mission will likely exceed that. I've also seen Cat Media, Multimedia Entertainment, and Classic Media Entertainment, and Settlement Defense Plans data materials used for unlocking Wellington Beck available in large quantities as mission rewards. Odyssey suit and weapon upgrade and modification material requirements have (as CMDR Buur stated) been reduced from anywhere from 20-80% for all materials. This truly is a golden age for Odyssey players. o7

I'm thinking along the lines of a SCO enabled passenger liner. And just remember that this Panther Clipper is in the top 0.001% of all cruise ships. An explorer class as well - that would cover most of the major roles in Elite with an SCO capable ship.
I bought one and then sold it back. I was expecting a slight improvement on the Python which is an amazing jack of all trades while the MK2 clearly wants to be a combat ship. The fact that the type 8 is a medium is interesting since the 7. 9, and 10 are all large. It may fit the role I was hoping the role I was looking for better.

Quite possibly FDevs best update for me, a new ship that is surprisingly good, considering a trade ship shouldn't resonate with me at all. Engineering, well even if it had to take 10 years, its a very welcome change.
I know it's a dream that'll likely never come true, but I still wish for the day when we get a Gutamaya ship of the Medium landing pad size; preferably with the awesome sounds and luxury that tend to come with Gutamaya ships. Encoded materials are easy; Jameson Crash Site. In the past two days I have gathered more materials and completed more engineering upgrades on more ships than I have in the past 5 1/2 years. Legwork, yes. I've been bouncing around three systems for material traders. I found the thrusters engineer I had unlocked many years ago only went to level 2, so I had to unlock Palin, then build my rep with him. That took a whopping, oh, ten minutes maybe? For the first time since I first tackled engineering, I'm finding it enjoyable.
That FDL terrain hugging flight was pretty damn memorizing. For some reason I was so entranced while looking at it my damn ears stopped working and I didnt hear anything you said lol. I had to rewind it and pay attention. :p

Just brought the T8 Stella, to go alongside my Python mkII Stella. Both have been deployed to my Fleet Carrier and both will gather cobwebs in the hanger until I get back to the bubble and engineer them, since at 40k Ly from Sol they don't really have a use.
True to my word Burr, I am NOW a proud owner of a Mk2 Python AND Type 8 and oh boy I could NOT be happier! The engineer mats grind laying on the cutting floor has made my spirit soar and my heart lift to heights I did not know possible! Hutton run?? A week ago I would have said pffft, why bother! Now??? Why the hell not!?
Long time listener first time subscriber. I really like to format of your content and the energy with which it is delivered, it makes for an easy engaging listen. as a bonus I actually learn stuff, keep up the good work.
After 9 months of leaving the game getting dust on steam I came back after the update and progressed the engineering of most of my ships within hours with my storaged material that would have been depleted with a few spins and requiring hundreds of hours to recover. Now it's much better. SCO is also awesome. Still regarding engineering I would love to have the option to pin more than one blueprint per engineer. Also looking forward for the powerplay 2.0 to see if getting the reward of the power becomes easier.
The new material drops its inssne and i love it. Im not the best at space combat but i do like the on foot missions, the illegal ones now are worth doing because i got like 20 of a random material that i was able to trade to finally upgrade my maverick suit to 5 in like 3 hours of play. Its insane!
Robigo Mines passenger missions now MUCH better materials rewards. An hour or two of schlepping criminals to the beacon gives a lot of G4 raw now, and it's worth noting, the loss of credits is about half what it was before, so you get to keep a lot more space bucks as well. Also worth noting, the current trade CG is definitely tuned toward the T8, most of the large pad landing sites close by are now empty, and it looks like a lot of the traffic is now to medium pad outposts that suit the T8 best. IMO fdevs tuned this one too tight, I don't think with the T8 on early release we will see a high tier completion, but what the heck, it's the first try.
I gave up trying to engineer anything on foot and just focused on trying to find best tier3 pre-engineered suits and weapons almost from the beginning. It worked pretty good for the most part. I have equipment that's useful for most situations. I unlocked 2 of the first 3 on foot starting engineers then gave up when I could never find a single opinion poll. I slaughtered countless innocent vacationers and staff at every anarchy-controlled tourist settlement. I know there is an anarchy system that begins with an A (can't recall the name). I left bodies stacked like cords of wood. I checked hundreds, or dare I say thousands (probably not) of data pads. I did the immersion breaking jump to hyperspace settlement reset loop more times than I care to remember. I never once found a single one of those mythological #%$@^&! OPINION POLLS. (deep breath) Today in the space of 30 minutes I found 11 of them and enough on foot items to unlock and discover 3 more engineers. I have 3 mostly engineered builds that I use, one for each for trading, pve combat, and exploration. I scanned high emissions for the first time in 2 years maybe more. I tried the relog thing once but found it to just be tedious and game breaking. After about 2 hours of jumping into high grade sources I managed too completely fill up 5 categories of manufactured goods. I made multiple runs to the material trader, I had very little in stock. For the first time ever, the game didn't seem like a second job where if I wanted to make even the slightest upgrade it would mean hours of grinding material harvesting or using game breaking cheats. IT WAS FUN WOOOHOOOOOO!!!
AX Missions rewards seem a little lower. More Mats, but in lower grades. More than offset by the current HGE bonanza, tho... I feel the need to replace my current materials gathering ship with something carrying a lot more limpet controllers!
Have you noticed a change in surface prospecting? I was out scanning some biologicals and ran across one of the cobble type nodes on the ground. Previously I could shoot it and 3-6 raw material chunks worth 3 materials each would fly off that I could scoop up. Instead the "cobble" chunk flew off, and was only worth 3 total materials.
Played for a few hours and was able to almost max all my encoded and manufactured mats using Jameson crash site and HGEs. I flipped when I learned 1 pass at Jameson will max out a grade 5 and 4 mat. No relogfing required
When you see buffs like this, it could be a precursor to something big coming like when void opal sales were through the roof. I believe we are being encouraged to fill up on mats because were going to need high grade eqpt to combat a great enemy...
I stopped playing with the release of odyssey cuz the game was waaaaaay too grindy with the rankings, engineering and material collecting. It was way too overwhelming. I had a corvette but couldn't grind for the parts cuz I have a job and not infinite time to grind for the engineering mats, ranks or anything at all. Now I'm downloading the game again in hopes for the grind to end... I love the game and would like to spend the few hours I have each day on this game...
I know that the engineering changes are evolutionary but they feel revolutionary. I can't wait to see what FDev has in store for us. Thanks as always for the content!
I bought the pre-built Type 8 which also unlocks it in the shipyard. How can I find a shipyard that sells it? I’d like to buy another in game. I’m new to the game thus have no reputation to unlock any locations. Thanks.
Does anyone know how to submit encoded material for a community goal. I am doing the recent one and have cracked industrial firmware but cannot find a way to sell it or submit it to the tanner station -?
braintrees were always great for any raw...NEVER needed or wanted raw as mission reward, such a waste of time . now mostly g2 g4 rewards and all are easier to get without missions
It appears nothing was done about raw material drop rates, so if you want to farm *all* the raw mats ASAP the 200-400 light years away (from bubble) flak farming brain trees method remains best. Their being available as mission rewards does help however to keep your materials up “passively” if you were doing passenger missions or normal missions anyway, like when spamming mining expansion missions or what not. Or if you just enjoy missions. So it may become you do brain trees once to get to max, and then almost never again have to do them as you’re just constantly topping back up from missions / thargoid war changes
Small correction, the engineering update did not completely remove the random rolls, they are still there when you first unlock an engineer. Only after completely G5-ing an engineer does it change to the fixed amounts.
@@alexsabau5942 those early rolls are not random. They're on a sliding scale as you gain reputation with the engineer and are more expensive until you hit g5 but they are predictable and not random (this is as was stated on the frontier unlocked livestream last week).
the way they are just handing out the settlement defense plans or opinion polls etc is what bothers me the most. lowered it to 5 for the engineer unlocks and have missions that give way more than the 5. You don't even need to be higher ranking with the factions and a simple retrieval mission pays out gobs. By doing this also is killing off the player economy for odyssey mats. Bartender is a waste of credits to have it installed on a carrier now. I hope this means new content or the new powerplay is actually going to be worth getting into. 17 ships and multiple suits/weapons leaves little to really do. Exploration and war effort is all about that's left for us veteran players.
EDSY uses some fancy “single app as a webpage” magic to be as responsive and usable as it is. Unfortunately, that also means its “current version” gets cached on your device and sometimes it won’t realise it needs to re-download the app. That’s what led to your getting the older version over and over. You can test these sort of cases by opening in private browsing (if capable) and checking if it’s different. Clearing your cache or hard reloading the page (it’s a binding in a few browsers at least to ctrl+F5) will allow you to force that redownload.
@@guhak yes, I realized this is what was happening because it was working on my phone and not my pc, so I cleared the cache and cookies. Now it's working. Thanks for your help
I mentioned this on your last video, but the Type-8 will simply be too slow a ship for the multi-role mining you speak of. I feel you do it a disservice continuing to say that without an explanation of the drawbacks at least. I’m honestly worried continuing to advocate for that without said asterisk next to it explaining the drawbacks will turn people away from mining altogether or otherwise get the wrong impression of it. The type-8 will be fine for core mining, granted probably not filling its cargo fully. And it can even fairly respectfully do laser mining, provided you get the pre-engineered lasers (which are not very well known about and could benefit a lot from being mentioned by someone as prolific as y’all!), with a 1 medium laser + 4 pre-engineered lasers configuration. It’ll be about 30% slower than a three medium laser Python at mining speed, but we’re still talking about only 8-12 seconds total. Definitely to the point personal preference could win and not feel too much a slog. The multi role type-8 however would be a full *minute* slower. It’s slower than a cobra mk3 at laser mining with only three class 1 lasers. I believe posting links on UA-cam usually gets blocked, so I’ll only verbally state the search terms. If interested, I posted an analysis of the type-8 for mining and possible load outs on Reddit as a post entitled “Analysis: Type-8 as a miner”, or something around those lines. (As an aside, in terms of multi-role use I think the type-8 is getting used more adequately in exploration than mining, it gets enough light years, has a nice cockpit view, flies really well, and has enough internals for the SCO advantage to be worth it, unlike the Python mk2) I really appreciate all y’all do to provide news, and please don’t take this to be a condemnation or attack or anything. Just as someone who *really* likes mining I wanted the T8 to be a great miner a lot, and it didn’t really get that. It’s an okay miner with caveats above. And since this happens to be my limited expertise, I wanted to share that info to make sure y’all get to be as consistently high quality and accurate in your assessments as always.
I said it was a competent miner. And that it was fun. And that it would do everything. I stand by that. I'm not interested in stats like rocks per minute etc etc. It mines in every flavour and does so of them well.
@@TheBuurPit it falls then under the same definition as “sure it can do X like combat but should it” you mentioned in your last video, is why I thought this info would be helpful. But if that’s not the goal, then sure. I agree that you didn’t say anything incorrect, and never meant to imply that if it came off that way. I hope my fear of people trying it, finding it very slow, and just giving up on the concept of mining all together rather than looking up further tips will be unfounded.
Newbie question - how playable is elite d offline? My internet connection is tethering / hotspot over phone, so I will mostly be playing offline so no player co-op ?
It requires a constant connection, even in single player, because it's a shared universe. I know folks have played it tethered but I can't speak to the quality of the experience.
@@TheBuurPit Thanks for the reply! Looks like thats me out then, as I use a Motorola which is incapable of holding the lie up for more than about 20 minutes- and I certainly cant be bothered to re-do the connection / reboot regulalrly whilst playing a game. Suspect the subscription to the Frontier account will be bogus too! Might reconsider when I change phone. Cheers!
I might come back and play when they give us ship Interiors. I love the game Elite Dangerous. I am still a little frustrated with the devs and Frontier.
"I might come back and play when they give us ship Interiors." If that is the criterium, then expect to never play the game again. I have not played ED in 5 years, even though I am an expansion pass holder, and have poured at least 2000 hours into the game, before I quit. As far as I am concerned, lacking ship interiors are not ED's real problem. The game needs seriously improved scavenging gameplay, with its own set of tools, it needs improved piracy and bounty hunting mechanics, it needs better smuggling, It needs a seriously overhauled and expanded ship crew system. Larger ships should require crew to be able to function fully. It needs more in depth scientific gameplay, with its own scientific modules and crew, a specialized scientific srv, etc. it needs planetary mining mechanics, with a specialized mining srv. etc. It needs atmospheric planets, seas, rivers, lakes, large scale flora and fauna, volcanic planets etc.
The HGE buff seems a bit overdone, it was already the easier G5 farm method as it didn't even require getting out of the bubble, filling half (50) mats per HGE would have been plenty even if they made relogging not respawn the HGE. The increased mission rewards are nice and hopefully become a good reason to actually take ship missions. I assume the painful ones are still gonna be the Encoded and even if they removed the relogging at Jameson's crash site, you probably still only get 4 type of mats and only one of which is G5, so you'll still have to make a bunch of trips to Ray Gateway's Mat Trader to fill up :( I wish they had buffed the Ship scanning and Wake Scanning drop rates for low level mats so that playing the game would naturally and slowly fill up your mats instead of having to farm them, just like mining naturally fills all of your low grade Raw mats. o7
Encoded mats got buffed too by the way. More specifically, crashed anaconda sites and Jameson crash got buffed. They drop a ton now. This new CG for example, the encoded loop is basically jump straight to Jameson crash, do one run of it to cap or almost cap, relog if you really want for the cases you didn’t immediately cap, and then fly back and trade down to the G3 mats for the CG. For an idea on time required, someone put in 4700 encoded mats within an hour to the CG shortly after launch.
@@guhak As I said in my comment above: "even if they removed the relogging at Jameson's crash site, you probably still only get 4 type of mats and only one of which is G5, so you'll still have to make a bunch of trips to Ray Gateway's Mat Trader to fill up :(" As for the 4700 you mention, that was most likely someone that was almost full on all types of encoded just dumping it all, because your 100 adaptive encryptors captures (G5) per trip to Jameson's cobra will trade down to 150 G3, and your 150 Atypical Encryption Archives (g4) will become 75 G3 for the CG as you also need to trade to a different category, and you can turn in directly your Cracked industrial Firmware to the CG so that's another 200, that's 425 CG contribution per trip to crashed cobra... which is 134LY trip plus landing on a planet and scanning 9 data points and then coming back to the CG station, pretty sure that's at minimum 10 minutes, so per hour maybe 2550 but 4700 I don't think is realistic...
@@papabrou oh, sorry I misunderstood the “4 types” part. I thought you were saying there were still only 4 spots / 3 mats per spot for some reason, not that the entire category of drops were still likely the same. Sorry about that! I haven’t yet been able to try out the crash site so I can’t confirm if it’s the same drop table, just increased quantity, now or not but I suspect it likely is still just those same types.
Hello and Ö7, I think the new materials management for Class 5 is once again a sign of how not to do it. The increase in materials, supposedly because collecting materials takes too much time and that would spoil the fun of the game. But that's exactly the fun of the game. I earned 9 or 10 suits plus the weapons to go with them. It was fun collecting the materials and the time wasn't wasted. The same goes for the ships. It's part of figuring out what you need and then finding the materials. Now you just need 1 system, collect imp shields and trade down. Bang 2h and the stores are full. The same goes for the materials for the suits. A 3-person ground mission "chase off looters" gives you 4 energy controllers I think Fontier has once again missed the mark by light years. Exploring, trading, mining and fighting - this mixture is what makes the game so appealing. The level of difficulty keeps getting lower and lower Yes, Elite has a tough start, we all know that, and it was annoying at times, but if I get everything for free that I used to have to work hard for, I don't think that's the way to go. You don't create new Comanders that way, and if you do, then only in the short term, and offends the veterans My suggestion is to make an offer of 30,000 Axa in the shop, where you get all warehouses full, all ships and all ranks all at level 7 + kilometre allowance
I bought the game back in 2014, quit playing a little after engineering came out and the first contact with thargoids was going on. Almost came back for Odyssey but saw how rough the launch and decided against it. I'm just now getting back into it, but want to know the current situation regarding ship interiors. I know they're not in the game now, but has there been any official statements regarding whether they're planned?
No. Nothing about that. There is a new feature coming to the game before the end of the year, but most non official thought is that it's base building of some description.
Boy, oh boy, these look like some great changes that were made entirely too late. If only someone had told fdev about the gameplay loop issues sooner, they might still have some customer confidence. I love this game, I truly do, but too little, too late. Fdev chose to pidgin-hole the community into pve, and that sucks. Clogging is still a thing, the engineering effects themselves need a MAJOR re-balance for pvp, and carriers are so plentiful that they do exactly the opposite of their stated intention, that is, encouraging social play. Fdev got a little traction with the the new FSDs, and saw a little money come in. I predict this update isn't going to do so hot. We, the players, no longer trust them with our money or our time. It's a shame to see a truly wonderful IP be absolutely decimated like this. These changes should have been implemented before odyssey launched. Full stop. It took a solid year of grinding to get everything added with odyssey up to grade five with the effects I wanted, and an update like this feels like a slap in the face to those of us that did that grind. I'm not saying I want to make those that come after me suffer as I have, what I'm saying is that fdev is only, just now, fixing the problem as an OBVIOUS cash grab. These engineering resources were precious to us when we played this game, but this game helped teach me the value of my time. I'll spend that time elsewhere.
as for on foot...why bother...till ships have to be upgraded like suits and pistols, its an extra step doing so to suits and pistols and not worth consideration...meaning why? more hoops for no good reason

Liked the salute as you were walking up to Commander Jameson's ship!
I have bought a Python Mk 2, and I'm playing Elite again - in part - thanks to you! :)
Welcome back, Commander! o7
@@Garryck-1 50 million Platinum mining run today!
@@nobodyimportant2470 - So you somehow missed every single review of, and experimental build, of the Python Mk2, that's been posted online over the last 3 months?
@@Garryck-1 Yep. Picked up Odyssey with the summer sale for $10 and got back into the game after building a new PC about a week ago. I heard new ships were coming but didn't look to deep into it.
I'd love to make a Gutamaya ship my daily driver but the need for a large landing pad makes that difficult to commit to.
Imperial eagle and courier are both gutamaya and don't require large pad. Ok the eagle isn't entirely Gutamaya...
@@Interdimensional27 neither are large enough to be a daily driver, those are specifically for certain things. I do fly a courier for fun but not daily
I've been saying the same thing. A medium Gutamaya ship would be sick. courier and eagle are fun but too niche.
Enjoy it while you can because Frontier is going... well... 🤫
Always fun to hear such great news such as about the engineering and Type 8 changes in Elite! Thanks for your weekly updates, Cmdr Burr! o7

great new path the game is on. Hoping the next ship is a small explorer....
Yeah me too! Here's hoping
4:18 "T8, you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention."
AX Missions rewards seem a little lower. More Mats, but in lower grades. More than offset by the current HGE bonanza, tho... I feel the need to replace my current materials gathering ship with something carrying a lot more limpet controllers!
The Hutton Run can now be made in under 12 Parsecs.
Got my mug a few years ago. :)
25 mins and 10- secs to Hutton :D SCO's rock
Shall I be first this week 😏😆
Yeah I willed up with milliary grade alloys in one HGE, I noticed they don't degrade they stay at 100% hull. Sort of made too easy
Damn, i have no idea what i'm going to do with my Python after the T8 launch. Maybe i'll keep a python stored inside the T8 in case i need it
I stopped playing with the release of odyssey cuz the game was waaaaaay too grindy with the rankings, engineering and material collecting.
Couldn't agree more! O7
Second!
If Frontier wants to use a CG for research they should think of putting up decent rewards. I don't do CGs if the rewards are crappy.
I bought the pre-built Type 8 which also unlocks it in the shipyard. How can I find a shipyard that sells it? I’d like to buy another in game. I’m new to the game thus have no reputation to unlock any locations. Thanks.
I hope they make new edition of mugs.. :)
Engineering of non standard ships is now a possibility .
Does anyone know how to submit encoded material for a community goal. I am doing the recent one and have cracked industrial firmware but cannot find a way to sell it or submit it to the tanner station -?
Are brain trees still best for raw after update?
braintrees were always great for any raw...NEVER needed or wanted raw as mission reward, such a waste of time . now mostly g2 g4 rewards and all are easier to get without missions
Went out scavenging and it literally took 5 or 6 minutes to fill up 100 military grade alloys and proto heat radiators
Did you say that engineering was being rebalanced?
Interesting. I wonder if they'll nerf this? This actually sounds like a real decent change so I'll give it some time to bake.
why didn't you mention the free anaconda you get at hutton orbital ?

Thank you, i dont understand why i couldnt get to this version of edsy. Every link i tried was version 3.8
Man I hate waiting months to get the new ship while others can get it earlier by paying. At some extend I do get why they are doing this.
good point, engineering sucked time away from the actual game.
I love this update, and I was quick filling up on two grade five just by visiting two high grade emissions types
The FDL flying was impressive. I wonder if that was CMDR Sanderling.
It was flight assist on... And it was me.
(As an aside, in terms of multi-role use I think the type-8 is getting used more adequately in exploration than mining, it gets enough light years, has a nice cockpit view, flies really well, and has enough internals for the SCO advantage to be worth it, unlike the Python mk2)
I really appreciate all y’all do to provide news, and please don’t take this to be a condemnation or attack or anything.
My internet connection is tethering / hotspot over phone, so I will mostly be playing offline so no player co-op

It requires a constant connection, even in single player, because it's a shared universe.
I know folks have played it tethered but I can't speak to the quality of the experience.
@@TheBuurPit Thanks for the reply!

The reward for the CG isn't very inspiring so I'm not taking part in this one,.
I might come back and play when they give us ship Interiors. I love the game Elite Dangerous. I am still a little frustrated with the devs and Frontier.
"I might come back and play when they give us ship Interiors."
If that is the criterium, then expect to never play the game again.
I have not played ED in 5 years, even though I am an expansion pass holder, and have poured at least 2000 hours into the game, before I quit.
As far as I am concerned, lacking ship interiors are not ED's real problem.
The game needs seriously improved scavenging gameplay, with its own set of tools,
it needs improved piracy and bounty hunting mechanics,
it needs better smuggling,
It needs a seriously overhauled and expanded ship crew system.
@@guhak As I said in my comment above: "even if they removed the relogging at Jameson's crash site, you probably still only get 4 type of mats and only one of which is G5, so you'll still have to make a bunch of trips to Ray Gateway's Mat Trader to fill up :("
As for the 4700 you mention, that was most likely someone that was almost full on all types of encoded just dumping it all, because your 100 adaptive encryptors captures (G5) per trip to Jameson's cobra will trade down to 150 G3, and your 150 Atypical Encryption Archives (g4) will become 75 G3 for the CG as you also need to trade to a different category, and you can turn in directly your Cracked industrial Firmware to the CG so that's another 200, that's 425 CG contribution per trip to crashed cobra... which is 134LY trip plus landing on a planet and scanning 9 data points and then coming back to the CG station, pretty sure that's at minimum 10 minutes, so per hour maybe 2550 but 4700 I don't think is realistic...
Hello and Ö7,
I think the new materials management for Class 5 is once again a sign of how not to do it.
A 3-person ground mission "chase off looters" gives you 4 energy controllers
I think Fontier has once again missed the mark by light years.
Exploring, trading, mining and fighting - this mixture is what makes the game so appealing.
The level of difficulty keeps getting lower and lower
Yes, Elite has a tough start, we all know that, and it was annoying at times, but if I get everything for free that I used to have to work hard for, I don't think that's the way to go.
You don't create new Comanders that way, and if you do, then only in the short term,
and offends the veterans
My suggestion is to make an offer of 30,000 Axa in the shop, where you get all warehouses full, all ships and all ranks all at level 7 + kilometre allowance
Do not say "We, the players". You don't speak for me or others, because there are many players who have a different opinion.
as for on foot...why bother...till ships have to be upgraded like suits and pistols, its an extra step doing so to suits and pistols and not worth consideration...meaning why? more hoops for no good reason
mats were never a prob except at engineers release...took almost 3 years to balance it.
now its a joke again exactly as it once was.
good luck finding btc.
1 source and its broken.
so easy as it was i have over 1200 ships....

The Type 8 doesn't like prospectors. Kind of a huge design flaw for a trading/mining vessel.
Worked fine for me.
@thebigsad5402 No, I think you misinterpreted what I meant. Going above 40 m/s, the drone collides with the hull.
@thebigsad5402 I heard someone else mention that the Corvette has a similar issue. My first question was "why are are you taking a corvette mining?" But to alleviate the problem, I started ascending as I fired it.
I want the python mk2, but im not willing to buy odyssey because ive not interest in anything it offers other than the ship. Oh well. Im going to go smash more bugs in my krait now!
I would buy it just to fly through those thin atmospheres! The new Settlements also bring in a much needed feeling of detailed life on a planet surface even if you dont want to interact or do missions there.
