SNL, ACLU, Me Too, Feminist Groups all seem to want to ignore this one “exception” where a Man was actually abused until a Jury verdict?? It’s amazing at how stone cold dismissive of reality they are to fit a narrative that was so profitable. It’s not like admitting you were totally fooled by that one co actor in Pineapple Express. I get it; embarrassed to admit they were wrong…kinda like Ambuser Heard.

Woke culture dictates that woman can do no wrong.
It's not real, dear. Also she isn't "insane" you misogynistic psycho. She suffers from a huge amount of trauma as a result of her fkd up childhood at the hands of her fkd up father. The fact that you are so black and white about this instead of even finding an ounce of empathy for her shows how damaged this society is. This is just a comedy show. It's neutral. They should have gone harder on jd actually.
They actually turn this into Depp hiring black people is racist? They were digging deep to go after Johnny but left everything Heard said and all but one thing she did off the table.
Not only did they miss so many comic opportunities, don't overlook how they also reinforced the very narrative this trial debunks--by saying multiple times “this trial is for fun.” No one would have thought to portray it that way had it included any proof of a man abusing a woman. But since it depicts a man as the victim, they went with mocking the seriousness of the trial instead of the comedy gold within it.

This sketch is almost as tragic as Johnny Depp’s life in the past 12 years. It honestly feels like no one in the entire cast or writing room cares about the show.
There's a certain brain rot when you're in a guaranteed-paycheck+name-prestige-on-your-resume sort of job. If there weren't entrenched political ideology, the free-market of comedy would open up here again.

Notice how they didn't show amber on here. I guess it's only okay to make fun of men who are abused.
Exactly as SNL says, its fun, funny and amusing because in liberals minds only men can be abusive. Thats why Hollywood played the woman in Monster as the victim even though the actual serial killer admitted it was all lies and she murdered for the thrill and to get rid of witnesses to her robberies!

It's like they didn't even try.
And Alejandro, who was so done with the whole thing, vaping during his testimony.

No, because these are normal people with careers and families and they don’t have time to watch the entirety of some bullshit celebrity trial.
@@joeschmo2784 normal people with families are watching the trial. If it’s your job to make jokes on current events, it would be helpful to actually watch them happen.
I doubt that anyone who believes Depp is watching anything but UA-cam drama channels, memes, and tabloid media outlets seeking the engagement of incels and the bot accounts spreading Depp's PR narrative.
@@carolyntalbot947 That is simply untrue if you actually watch the case. It seems like you are guilty of your own accusations.
@@joeschmo2784 ? I just watched highlights of the trail. Like it ain't that hard to understand what's going on 🤣
This skit will go down in SNL history as one of their biggest missed opportunities.
Just like the Will Smith slap sketch. It seemed like they rushed it and it was a major fail.
They are not funny. 😢
Similar to the ridiculous media coverage, l think they were told to tiptoe through the tulips. It was dissapointing. I'll stick to watching the real thing
@@BigMac-jr4th just his first year in office is enough material for a decade worth of skits
@@mrchopsticks3 Nah, that one was good. But I agree, this sketch feels rushed
This sketch had so much potential but the writers dropped the ball. SO much to work with
seems everyone is in agreement.. almost 90% of people believe amber heard is a sociopath and her lawyers are awful
Agreed. They could have ripped it up so good, but this wasn't funny at all.
I agree
This show is liberal and will not pass judgment on the woman no matter how delusional she is lol
Yeah was a shitty sketch. Can't believe they open with it.
I sense that they were so terrified to do the wrong thing with this sketch and be criticised, that they dropped the ball on making it funny.
It feels like a topic that you just don’t do if it’s that much of a concern. Like “if you have to ask, don’t”
That’s what they always do
yeh
Yep. Notice they didn't even mention the massive meme opportunity of her dog stepping on a bee?
They clearly sht the bed on this one lol
@@ct5625 yeah, and muffins, amica cream, the lot
I laughed a lot more watching the actual trial.
i laughed more at this comment than the video
@@ianlerner6092 and i actually laughed more at your comment. ...jesus, what's up with american comedy. is this it? this isn't it...
@@luxi378 SNL hasn’t been funny for a long time
Big same
Me too
Not only did someone originally pitch the idea for this sketch, thinking it was funny, but then people also had to collectively decide that it was a good idea to make it happen. Some people worked to write it, and then some of them even decided to act it out in front of a live audience, and potentially to millions of others across the world. And they all said "Yes, this is a GOOD idea". That's the minimum of all the layers that sketch had to go through before it got to us.
wtf are you saying. this is still one of the worst sketches ever.
I dont understand what the problem is with the sketch, everyone here is vague af
@@Internet_Enjoyerhe’s agreeing with you. He’s saying that this skit is horrible. Re read his comment.
@@michaels9666it’s not funny, and they had sooo much source material to work with and we ended up with this. Did you laugh? I had a straight face the entire time.
Man...they completely missed the mark on the lawyers from Amber's side. One of them literally objected to their own question.
Yeeessss! That was hilarious 😂
Have you seen the news articles since AH fired her old PR team.
Despite the trial being completely televised, news articles are still on AH’s side.
They don’t even try to imitate Depp, he just says yup and my cleaning lady like he normally would. I wish this show was a joke, that would be funny
@@dzenacs2011 this just isn’t true.
yeah, the really made Heards Lawyers look MUCH smarter than they are in real life lol
