I'm litterally assembling my turquoise green Pacific right now. 🙂👍 It must be one if the most beautiful reels of all time. And the quality - many still working after 70 years.

I completely agree with you, one of the most beautiful vintage reels in this color. However, it must be adjusted well so that it brings positive emotions. It's not that hard…

@@vintage_reels I have a problem withe angle of the bail arm. It´s about 50 degrees too far out. Looks out when it´s in. Must be the bail arm axis through the tube/holder, but it has two slots at the rear, which only fits two ways in the angled aluminium piece that goes into the "disc"/spool housing. I have studied my photos, your video and another video - the bail arm disengage mechanism in the housing is as it should. It´s as if the bail arm axis through the tube has wrong angles. Strange...
Question: The 0,1 mm thick washer you add in one video - it´s only to compensate for wear right? Not original?
I have never seen a Centaure Pacific in the condition that yours is. Stunningly beutiful. Merveilleuse.

Pls send me videos and photos to my email address, the problem is most likely with incorrect assembly: longcarp@foxmail.com

Thank you! It's NOS, has never been used! About half or even most of all my reels have this condition. This helps to eliminate various kinds of shortcomings quite easily, to solve problems that arise. Especially for reels that have already been in use or that lack original spare parts. And what I strive for is to share all this knowledge and skills with the same enthusiasts & collectors...
