Outstanding presentation on tying a bomber. Thanks for taking the time and effort to produce this tying demonstration. Bravo Zulu.

Great technique and instruction. I’m quarantined and this is motivation to get to the vise.

Really nice demonstration of hair packing & trimming applicable to any deer hair bodied fly.

Hey Chris, when I wind up my hackles I keep my hand with the hackle in one position and rotate my vise! It makes flawless spaces and you're always able to see how it's sitting. Great video!

Great vids man, just subbed. Love those long hackles you are using. Do you know any where in Newfoundland or around St. John’s area where I could buy some small amounts of good dry fly hackle? Just can’t afford full or even half capes. Cheers

Loving the videos, hoping you keep putting them out. Also do you use gink or anything on your bombers to keep them afloat?

Thanks Philip, thats the plan after this season. I usually use musclin on mine but gink works as well :)

@@newfoundlandflyfisher awesome, I don't fish bombers much (because they always sink on me) but I did buy musclin
the other day so might try again this weekend.

You're a brave man tying on yer dining room table!
I'm trying to tie with GSP because of difficult hands, and I'm having trouble getting the hair to spin around the shank.
    Any thoughts?
Great work with the double view camera! Thanks!!

      Its an older table🤣
Have you had any similar issues with other thread brands? I like to use a more grippy thread for spinning

Those are the Tiemco Curved. They are discontinued now but i believe you can still find the straight versions which are also great for trimming deer.
