Hi Rob, Mark from the UK here. I have just finished watching your videos on the railway Build through from the beginning to current situation and I must say they are truly inspiring. I am currently cutting timbers for the supports of my British Outline N Gauge layout, approx 10pm x 3' so nowhere near your sizing. Your scenic methods have given me a lot to think about. I really like the pond/bridge area and the embankment with the old signal. Keep up the good work and I hope you get home soon for Christmas. Best wishes of the season to you and your family. Have a healthy, happy and prosperous 2017 Mark
Well done as usual! ! Thank you for your service over in the Stan! You know as long as you're still breathing, don't worry about it and don't apologize for it. Myself and others are just happy to have your butt home in one piece.
Hi Stephen, You will just have to add some black exhaust to the sides of the bridge & underneath. Looking great keep them coming when you have time, Drive safe. Al in BC
Al- actually it is there on the underside...just hard to see unless you REALLY try! I noticed it in the prototype photos of the RT 5 bridge on the CSX, so added it. If you watch the video at around the 29 minute mark there is a photo that shows what was done so far. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I don't remember! I have had it for a while, as well as a few other Langmesser-Modellwelt resin kits, but for the life of me I can't recall where I bought them. I thought it was from their website but I don't see his kits listed there now. I also checked Ebay.de and Amazon.de with no luck. I'll try to recall as now it bugs me...
Hi Stephen! I have to tell you, this is the best layout series I've ever watched. Your presentations, your modelling skills are first rate. Congratulations! Your choice of introduction music, by the way, I find to be absolutely beautiful stuff. Good luck with your breathing problem. I salute you for your service. I will be watching your progress on a regular basis. I have, in fact followed your progress (lurked?) since video number one. Cheers!
As an engineer, I keep wanting to name the parts that you mention, to you and explain their functions and characteristics, as I think that understanding helps with achieving the realism, and the detailing.
Just a tip for ya,, I am a pattern maker by trade and 1/2" plywood can have as many as 11 plies, but I usually use 7 ply. These are commercial plywood so you won't find them at Menards. :) You can get plywood with more plies than that but you will pay a ton for it. Even 7 ply costs a bunch. What you said about 1/8" plies is generally true at the lumber yard though.
your detailing work is some of the best that I have seen
Very well done, some good kit bashing!
Holy cow! Can't believe that I have never see any of your videos before. You just earned your self a subscriber. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Brian, and glad to have you along. Look for more progress over the Holiday!

I missed where you said you got that shed kit at the beginning of this video. It looks pretty neat.

How did 4 people dislike this video?! This is fantastic! Thank you!
Thanks Tim. Every video posted seems to get at least one neg-a-tory vote. Maybe we have a few haters out there! Ah well, can't please everybody.

Ten-four, Rob. Keep at 'er, mate!
Allen McClelend would be proud of you.
That would be an honor!
Hoo boy.... How you do ramble on. And on and onnn...
Just a little fyi cuz I didn’t hear you mention it, the concrete rail that is flared at the bottom is called T-5 rail👍🏼

Is the car to scale? Looks awful narrow if that is a 2 lane road, even allowing for the shoulders. Nice detail work on the bridge and pipes.
hey nice vid.i just noticed a crack in the wall scenery in the video, idk if it is one but just a heads up there
Thank you for your Service Brother! Why don't you get a I beam for the underside edge of the bridge Stephen?
little tip for ya,, 1 layer ply ='s 1/8,,, so you have 3/8 ply ,, not 1/2,,,,, but nicely done and will copy one for my lay out .. thank you

Hi where did you find/buy the langmesser-modellwelt LMBSR007 kit from? Thanks Wayne
how did u make ur hills just wondering
Mostly they are made from foam. Then carved, shaved, and otherwise "manipulated" to the appropriate land forms.
Rob Bennett nice I wanna get back into hobby but don't know where set up at
foam bad!!!!!!!!!!!
