The funniest bit to me is that there are multiple ways to share stuff like photos from PC to phone on window that people just aren't aware of. Samsung flow is a great option that I use, but there are others like Microsoft link to phone/link to windows (whatever it's called now).
Yeah, Bluetooth is the slower way but familiar, usually if you need to transfer files between PC and your Android device or any other device except Apple (because Apple blocked traditional Bluetooth transfer on iOS devices). There is like those Samsung ones and any other 3rd party options. Windows has its own share system between Windows PCs, which is similar to AirDrop. Also if your files synced with a cloud like OneDrive or Google Drive, then it should be accessible on your phone as well.

As someone who has both a mac and a windows laptop, i like both for different reasons. My Mac is smaller and easier for me to carry around (i have dodgy shoulders and carrying heavy bags isn’t fun) and i prefer the experience of writing on it. All the shortcuts (swiping up to see all your windows, having multiple desktops, etc) feels very intuitive and its what im used to so i tend to use my mac for work. (And also its just a lot easier for me to be able to copy and paste across devices. Its like the best thing apple ever put in imo. Given i already have an iPhone and an ipad as well, being able to copy something on one device and paste it on another is just so convenient, especially for putting in passwords quickly). And then im not as familiar with windows. This is the first windows laptop I’ve had in Years so im still getting used to it. But i use it primarily for gaming and it is Far superior to my mac on that front. Not only can it run More games overall (the amount of games that have been on my wish list for years but I’ve never been able to buy them because they dont work on macs) but it also runs them Much better (and my laptop is like the most basic of base models). So they both have their place and i will continue to use both all the time its convenient for me to do so. But i am also a hardcore apple apologist so… yknow.
Fyi; Windows can connect to phones and do the copy paste thing, thankfully. It's a great feature in this multi-device world. Most of the connectivity features does have equivalents on windows, but they don't come in the box and so they don't always play as nicely together and require set-up... Upsides and downsides of a competitive service market
apple did in fact make a copy of the search bar, spotlight but you do need to press two buttons to open it (command space) , but it is essentially the same
I used to have a mac once. I tried loving it but windows just feels way better for me, feels more user friendly. So I put it away and forgot about it then eventually gave it to my best friend when his laptop broke.

The only apple product I have is an Ipad pro and I only use that for drawing, because it really is amazing to draw on, absolutely love the apple pencil even though it cost $200 on top of the cost of the Ipad. I think I like Apple when it comes to devices, but Windows when it comes to PCs/laptops.
KDE Connect for linux to phone(or vice-versa) file transfer is really good and polished, it even allows you to use your phone as a mouse or media controller.
@@archusrtm6325 maybe I should have clarified better, Linux as it stands right now is still waaayyy too far back from both Windows and Mac, but I guess that is mostly because of the open source nature, there are a bunch of distros but none are anywhere near as good as windows or Mac. The only way for Linux to become a competitor of windows would be for a big company to sink a lot of money into it, however it's easier said than done, see Google for example, ChromeOS isn't that great. At this point I wonder if it would be easier for a company to make an OS from scratch so they can build it just the way they want it. Basically it has potential but it's not even close to what it should be.
1:05 this is the key point right here. "if you look hard enough". Apple people need to feel like all the work they do to simply get something to function the way they want it to, and not the way the company decides is better for you, is the very reason why they have the arrogance. If they weren't arrogant, they'd just feel like fools doing all that work, and spending more money, to get fewer options. The only thing mac excels in over PC is photo and video editing, which 99% of people don't do, or could do on their phone to the level they want for the 3k insta followers.
as Windows guy said, Apple focus a lot of effort into aesthetics of Mac products, so it feels better to use in general, but it doesnt mean Mac products are actually better. I'm saying this as a person who uses both Mac and Win for work and entertainment for 15 years now, and tbf they are the same, there is rarely a thing I couldnt do on Mac but couldnt do on Win and vice versa.
I had an exam yesterday and it was hilarious to see the mix of people with MacBooks vs people with gaming laptops covered in weird lights. And one poor bastard with a Chromebook.
It's not the search I was not happy with, but the app switching , and task bar experience.. you can't get preview of your tab while switching in a 2022 powerfull M1 Mac, and cannot neatly organize your apps in taskbar like the other two does, along with the inability to snap/ add layouts that are the worst things I have found on Mac OS
I am currently watching this on a Mac, and I can tell you, this Mac has gone through to extreme shit and yet it lives. Once I carried it with me into the bathroom, placed it on the sink counter and did my business for it to just fall off and land about 70cm below on a hard tile floor. The edge got bent and so did the screen frame, and I mean severely bent. Another time, I had it in a small case, and I was heading down some stairs, you know those small stairs leading down to the cellar of a building, and as stupid as I was, I didn't go down the stairs. Instead I jumped over the fence and down onto the lowest floor beneath the stairs. Because of the momentum I got, the case with my Mac in it, that I was holding in my hand, hit the hard cement floor, and my computer got some indents on the other front corner because of all the small gravel that lay scattered in those type of areas. On another occasion, I was biking, with my Mac in the same case as earlier, heading to school. I knew the route since I had taken it several times before, and thus I was going quite fast on the bike. The case was hanging on the bike handle with my hand on top of it, so that it wouldn't slide off. Soon I came to a downhill road, a slope of sorts, with asphalt being the road material. I headed down the hill and I ran over a bump, that I never even knew was there, and the zipper on the Mac-case went up on the way down from the small jump I made running over the bump. My Mac fell out of the case and bounced on its corners down the hill like a loosened wheel would from a driving car. Soon it stopped, and it slid a couple of meters. I hurried to check if it was intact, and it was, with no damage to the software. The last physical damage that my Mac took was during a night I had with the bois. We were playing Terraria, and the Mac being the only computer I had, I brought it to play the game on. After a few hours, we had geared up, and we all had a lot of coins as well, which is what you drop if you were to die. We felt secure enough to enter hell, so we did. We arrived and explored for a while, and soon the host had to leave, meaning the world would soon shut down. I decided to just get some more loot before leaving, but I died. I was desperate to retrieve the coins that I had dropped, so in a hurry I went down into the mines, only to die time and time again. At last, the host closed the world, which makes all dropped items disappear, including money, so I got extremely infuriated. I hit my computer with a hammer arm and it bent. The screws loosened from underneath the computer, and the hull opened up. You could see the circuitboards under the computer, but it worked fine. Lastly, as an extra note. I usually accidentally step on my computer when I wake up each morning, because I put it on the floor beside my bed every night. It works fine, you gotta believe me.
I once had a pretty cheap windows laptop, and I threw it on my bed. It bounced off and fell about 60-70 cm. Was perfectly fine, not any damage. The laptop still works now even though it's gone through a lot. But this isn't really mac vs windows - some laptop companies are a lot better than others. I've had a friend who bought a windows laptop which broke and the slightest amount of force soo just depends on the brand of the windows laptop tbh
The build quality of a Mac is better, but it costs 5X of a typical windows laptop as well. For me, software reliability is the more important factor. I have hundreds of browser tabs open, along with some data-heavy program running in the background, an IDE running, plus some steam game in the foreground. I keep switching between these processes. The Mac crashes way more often than my windows. And let's not even start about the upgrade process. I've had to get into safe mode every single time I need to do a major version upgrade on Mac. Not so on windows. Windows just works and I've never seen the blue screen of death since a decade.
Wow y’all are going on 2 million subscribers. And I’ve been watching since you were little boys. I’m so proud of you for all that your hard work has accomplished.

The funniest bit to me is that there are multiple ways to share stuff like photos from PC to phone on window that people just aren't aware of. Samsung flow is a great option that I use, but there are others like Microsoft link to phone/link to windows (whatever it's called now).
There's also Clipt which is quite handy, a chrome extention for PC and app for Android (idk about iOS) but it's hery handy, lightweight
Think it's still called link. It works so I don't really keep tabs on it.
or just use the charger, it connects to a usb port
And they're all shit
Darcy's acting as the Fairbairn bloodline was LEGENDARY
especially the ball part
2:08 Spotlight: am I a joke to you?
You can press one button and search on a mac. On the newer laptops F4 brings the spotlight search.
you could also always do it by pressing the command button and spacebar (both of which are right next to each other)
@@2cool0 and that search is so much better than the windows implementation. Can find apps. files (super quickly on M1, I don't know if intel versions are the same), definitions, wikipedia lookups, podcasts.

0:08 "Oh let me guess, you use a Surface Pro?" I feel called out. I'm watching this *on* a Surface Pro.
Upsides and downsides of a competitive service market
apple did in fact make a copy of the search bar, spotlight
but you do need to press two buttons to open it (command space) , but it is essentially the same

A title as simple as this got me interested very quickly.
The fact my friend's name is Mac makes this funnier
it feels like their mic goes really blurry when they yell, and that really adds to the vibe
It's not blurry, it's distortion from clipping.
Jaxon, you've got it all wrong mate. You can actually search Macs with a single keystroke (Cmd+Space) to open Spotlight; if that's not "one button" enough, you can always change the keyboard shortcut for spotlight to something like F12.

Me as a Linux user: "Let them fight."
Let both bloodlines end.
Don't get me started with Linux, lol
I do want a third OS to disrupt this oligopoly however Linux isn't it
@@nizzo24 Why not GNU+Linux?
@@nizzo24 whatever are you talking about? Most distributions I have ran are as good or better than windows
Wow I can't believe how seriously you took these arguments... Like.... Good arguments
Developers tend to prefer Linux and MacOS over Windows too.
I had an exam yesterday and it was hilarious to see the mix of people with MacBooks vs people with gaming laptops covered in weird lights. And one poor bastard with a Chromebook.
bro just use linux
It's not the search I was not happy with, but the app switching , and task bar experience.. you can't get preview of your tab while switching in a 2022 powerfull M1 Mac, and cannot neatly organize your apps in taskbar like the other two does, along with the inability to snap/ add layouts that are the worst things I have found on Mac OS
Darcy’s acting as Lachlan’s shirt was great
"Oh let me guess you use a Surface Pro? What, did you build your own PC did you?"
Oi, don't call me out like that, 2 for 2 god damn.
If anyone manages to read all of this I think they would have enough information about you to steal your identity.
@@cam5556 lol
I once had a pretty cheap windows laptop, and I threw it on my bed. It bounced off and fell about 60-70 cm. Was perfectly fine, not any damage. The laptop still works now even though it's gone through a lot.
But this isn't really mac vs windows - some laptop companies are a lot better than others. I've had a friend who bought a windows laptop which broke and the slightest amount of force soo
just depends on the brand of the windows laptop tbh

I didnt feel like this was an act, i felt it was an actual argument
I don't understand why people are purchasing macs unless you are someone who uses the ecosystem (like airdrop or whatever) or since childhood have been educated with the MacOS. Most American schools use windows to teach children. I like the point they made about most stuff is available on windows and mac users would have to find a way to use the stuff "if you look hard enough".
