I can actually totally relate to that vibe reasoning. I've chosen a lot of things over others just cuz of the vibe. Honestly, I’ve used both and they are pretty equal. The iPhone, while having some cool features like built in face time and airdrop, does seem to break extremely easily and repair is super expensive. The android on the other hand feels invincible (I know they aren’t actually invincible, I snapped one in half). The iPhone seems to have a cleaner interface, but it’s not super user friendly because you have to do all of the swiping just right to navigate the phone. The android has simple yet effective on-screen buttons that work every time. Also, you don’t have as much freedom on an iPhone, you can’t get a custom ringtone without buying one (I bought the overpriced phone and now they want me to buy more???) and you can’t download and use api’s.

The "vibes" may be arguably better on iPhones, but the technical features, such as the microphone, speakers and camera (the main thing you'd likely buy them for) are better on Android. There's also much more variety with Android devices and android companies aren't quite as corrupt.
Most major smartphone manufacturers (Samsung, Xiaomi, oppo, vivo, OnePlus, Hisense, and more) are part of the mutual transmission alliance where their sharing features are cross compatible with other companies' sharing apps. Alternatively google implemented nearby share a year ago which is present on all androids above version 6 (13 is the latest version)
Just gonna say that no matter which you use, it's tough to transition to the other side when you just try it, which partially explains why folks loyal to their type often stay with their type lol
Quick fact for those that don't know: most media quality issues that "come from Androids" are usually a result of decisions made by the software developer (for a while it was Snapchat but they got better), or Apple (they force any non-imessage messages to be sent and received over SMS/MMS vs RCS). So the quality issues aren't the android users fault :) Everyone says Android videos look like potatoes but thats because they are rarely sent/received in their original quality due to silly limitations created by non-android users.
Tl;Dr: Apple is dumb and refuses to accept the file type android media is sent in, because Android is open source and apple is dumb and smelly and proprietary.
As an android user myself I do see why appple succeeds tho. it's user friendly, simple and secure. It doesn't provide the software freedom I want, but for a lot of people it's good enough. The performance is also very good on iPhones as well, sure the "specs" may be comparable to the other brands, but it's all about software optimization at that point. Apple has got that in the pocket. I like the vid tho, sometimes it is pretty frustrating why people don't understand why android is a good option. Y'all make good stuff

Here's something: Even to this day, even with all their fancy audio peripherals, they still use a literally decade old codec for audio transmission. Its so old that the latency is so bad that when you're watching a youtube video, they literally delay the frames of the video to match up with the transmission of the audio. It is so overengineered and badly designed, its hilarious. Meanwhile, the codecs android uses has found a way to do that with an indistinguishable 50ms latency, CD audio quality, and uses less battery.
