what i guess happend at 1:12 is that birdie threw a can from the right side of the screen and balrog and birdie dashed into the other corner. That means when balrog hits the Crush Counter the can comes from behind and he then v-revesaled it.
I think that every character available in both games received a design upgrade in SFV. With the exception of Ibuki. And Ken, of course (dat face though).
Capcom was years ahead making joke of us with the "MAAAH FIGHT MONAAAAAAYYYY!" Now I propose that that guy's "PROFOUND.....SADNESS" is the inside joke about SFV itself.
Wow. Those flawless transitions remind me of remastered games where you can switch between classic and modern graphics (think Halo Anniversary, or that cancelled Goldeneye game). Amazing stuff!
Gentlemen PLEASE... Do you even remember SF4 Vanilla? It's bad to compare a 5th revision of an 8y old game with one that has yet to release it's full starting roster
Hailstormful LMAO the difference is SF4 Vanilla had good gameplay, from Vanilla to Ultra the gameplay was virtually unchanged. The gameplay of SFV is straight up fucking garbage with no footsies, they need to overhaul the entire game to make it good enough with the excuses
Gonna assume dlc characters will be fighters that you played in story mode. Decap, Sean, Abel, the dude hanging with Rashid calling him master etc etc.
I wish they had like a mode for him instead of beefed up damage they had like a new school boxing style mode and old school boxing style mode. You could go from max out damage to just being very flashy and cocky with the match.
I love the new Balrog combos, but I think most of them can only be set up once you have V-trigger which makes most of the early game short combo pokes and guessing games that aren't as rewarding. I guess they replaced all his combo/ block string combo links with more raw power, which is why I think his combos from USFIV are more interesting/usefull. I would go crazy watching PR Balrog lay down pressure with his normal links. It feels really boring to watch the new Balrog early game until he gets V-trigger and most top players don't even use if for that and opt out for V-Reversals.
It really bothered me that there was English subtitles for balrog speaking English but then dhalsim rocking up speaking Japanese with Japanese subtitles.
Honestly, the only striking difference between the two games are simply the graphics (a small improvement, none the less). It's just too similar, even the pace is almost identical. Street 4 was released 8 years ago, there's no excuses for this.
3:01 - how the hell did he made that second charged punch at the 3rd hit? Did he hold LP, LK, HP, HK, and then released the first couple -> KKB -> release the second couple?!?! O__O
watch it again bro..to do that charge punch you hold any 2 buttons. so he did the first heavy charge punch for the wall bounce then his v skill spin with punch then hit HK,HP to v trigger which allows him to hold the 2 buttons to do another heavy charge punch
SF4 Balrog is overall better atm. SFV Balrog has higher damage/more pleasant combos to the eye but SF4 Balrog had more pleasant ones to the mind his loops/extended hard links combos are more impressive then different variations of BnB cancel into v-trigger then do in a different order.
Well, they can buffer the input for starters, meaning he could use st.hp or TAP or something and hold back while doing that, so he could dash punch right after because it was already charged
I can't help but think that the people who prefer sf4 to sfv just say so because capcom didn't release a lot of single player content when the game was launched. As far as gameplay goes, sf4 wishes it was sfv.
Japanese names: Boxer-M.Bison Claw-Balrog Dictator-Vega These are originals. M.Bison (Mike Bison) is an inspiration of Mike Tyson. In US and EU versions, they changed the name because they didn't want to get sued. So these are the changed names: Boxer (M.Bison) to Balrog Claw (Balrog) to Vega Dictator (Vega) to M.Bison. These are not originals, originals are japanese ones. Source is fightingstreet.com They use M.Bison for Dictator, I think they use it for Dictator because he says "Now, face the mighty Bison." in SFIV, so we can say M. is mighty. Also Akuma's original name is Gouki, it fits with his brother's name Gouken. I don't know why they use Akuma for other versions but Gouki and Akuma have similar meanings in japanese. Both mean demon, devil or satan in japanese but have differences, I don't know japanese so I can't tell the difference.
vida noob: Sf4 é bem melhor, porque além de ser original do street fighter 2,tem speciais. Sf5 só prefere novos golpes misturados com golpes originais de todos os personagens. ja foi melhor, mas deixou a desejar.
In the japanese version M. Bison is balrog, Balrog is Vega and Vega is M. Bison here's an article explaining why if you're interested fightingstreet.com/folders/faqfolder/faqpage.html
+Eddie Crooks he counts when you release them, if you old it a second, when you release it he says "one" if you old it a bit longer he says "two" etc. You need him to say "final"
Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed. I thought SF4 was pretty bland and ultras/focus was dumb but everything else was nice. SF3s is still my favorite sf game. Really wish they would go back to sprites.
+Un1234l I don't know who you play but combos were not that long nor were jab combos. Everything was just more fluent to me. I usually played Urien or Akuma and I wouldn't consider their stuff that easy. You a Yun player?
Have to say I like the SF5 version of Balrog better than SF4's version.
FACTS
no doubt about it.
His attacks feel more impactful.
Capcom should allow you to utilize your v-reversal as an actual move at the cost of one meter.
How the hell did Balrog do a V-Reversal at 1:08 without blocking an attack right before?
He's against Birdie so he just set up a can to roll into him.
can
Ah yes, the can was out of view so I missed that.
Rolling can from Birdie.
Probably because of Birdies Banana
what i guess happend at 1:12 is that birdie threw a can from the right side of the screen and balrog and birdie dashed into the other corner. That means when balrog hits the Crush Counter the can comes from behind and he then v-revesaled it.

lmao at that fact of the day
lol frfr
lol if that was a real backstory I'd like to see it
Capcom was years ahead making joke of us with the "MAAAH FIGHT MONAAAAAAYYYY!"
Now I propose that that guy's "PROFOUND.....SADNESS" is the inside joke about SFV itself.
Never knew about that I feel bad for rog now lol.

Exactly.
Thank you

enough with the excuses
BlackHairedGoo n lmao you here?
Vanilla? that must be a new street fighter never heard of it. Oh wait it doesnt exist :)
U make balrog look waaay better to me than he actually is. Those edits were amazing!
They knocked it out of the park with Balrog for SFV, he looks more badass than ever!
Fucking Kudos!
3:00 wait
The hell?
Tap
schrodinger gief
as much as i don't care for how limited SFV's combo engine is, it is nice not to see jab fighter 4. (great vid btw)
sfv balrog is much better than trash fighter 4 rog.
Characters are better gameplay's weak.
+1
"INCREDIBLE"
Truly is yes, desk-u.
WOAH your editing skills are godlike! That was awesome dude!
eggmancorp i def agree
This is a good video displaying the differing merits between the two versions.
am I the only one that feels that Balrog is damn near broken with how fast and strong he is? is there an Anti Balrog guide that shows his punishables?
In this video: Punches.
is balrog "Don't Escape" instead of "There's no escape!"
Gonna assume dlc characters will be fighters that you played in story mode. Decap, Sean, Abel, the dude hanging with Rashid calling him master etc etc.
And Peter
Peter!!
"fact of the day", smh

Shows that he is still a beast in both games.
How many hits can Geif absorb ? I thought he could only absorb 4, 2 while holding vskill and 2 while walking.
damn i love Balrog's USA colored ink effect.
Great video as always desk
[N O E S C A P E]
those cross ups tho._____.
great video.
Good stuff desk, but I hoped to see more FADC combos with SF4 Balrog. Jab combos looked kinda lame and don't do much damage. :(
It really bothered me that there was English subtitles for balrog speaking English but then dhalsim rocking up speaking Japanese with Japanese subtitles.
did balrog just v-reversal after that hard counter!?!?!??! How??????
exactly. please explain!?
Birdie can, I think.
after the hit he must have blobked one of birdie's vskill projectiles?
How were you able to crush counter, then go into V-Reversal? I'm legit mind-fucked too good!
Birdies can was probably rolling along the floor, desk has used it to combo a bunch of different v-reversals,
What's ur CFn? I'd love a match with u....love ur videos
SFV boxer looked more interesting.
He seems to have a much more dynamic style, I can't wait to play him -linux version = delayed :(
Sfv Barlow actually is intimidating
Honestly, the only striking difference between the two games are simply the graphics (a small improvement, none the less). It's just too similar, even the pace is almost identical. Street 4 was released 8 years ago, there's no excuses for this.
if you buy a balanced good fighting game you don't want it to be that different on the new version, you want it be just improved..
3:01 - how the hell did he made that second charged punch at the 3rd hit? Did he hold LP, LK, HP, HK, and then released the first couple -> KKB -> release the second couple?!?! O__O
he held the HP,HK during v trigger
2-tone that doesn't explain how he made two fully charged in the row AND a v-trigger :P
Holding it during the v-trigger would not fully charge it.
watch it again bro..to do that charge punch you hold any 2 buttons. so he did the first heavy charge punch for the wall bounce then his v skill spin with punch then hit HK,HP to v trigger which allows him to hold the 2 buttons to do another heavy charge punch
You make good videos Desk.
you did great job i'm impressed
Love your videos! Do you own SFxT on 360? I'd love to play you! I main Chun and Cammy!
fucking Dquest I know that was ur ass wussup
Beautiful remix!!!
SF4 Balrog is overall better atm. SFV Balrog has higher damage/more pleasant combos to the eye but SF4 Balrog had more pleasant ones to the mind his loops/extended hard links combos are more impressive then different variations of BnB cancel into v-trigger then do in a different order.
i still don't get how people make charging special attacks so goddamn fast
Well, they can buffer the input for starters, meaning he could use st.hp or TAP or something and hold back while doing that, so he could dash punch right after because it was already charged
V-Trigger rog dosent need charge.....just like bison(cancelling specials only)
Show me the cut scene
SFIV Balrog has a Jab
Miss this in SFV
2:28 Turn Punch is invincible?
Yes, Turn punch is strike and projectile invincible (same as SF4)
If Balrog is not the best character!
I can't help but think that the people who prefer sf4 to sfv just say so because capcom didn't release a lot of single player content when the game was launched. As far as gameplay goes, sf4 wishes it was sfv.
Is the v trigger like Roman cancel
um kinda? it cancels the moves recovery, the one you use to cancel into it
00:33
Hoi! I'm Temmie!
XD
How'd he combo that v reversal
Probibly a bug with birdies chain hitbox if I were to hazard a guess.
It was birdies can
WHAT HAPPENED AT 1:04 ? THERE WAS A BANANA ON THE FLOOR RIGHT?
rolling can i think
Probably a can from the right corner rolling all the way to the left where they were? There's no way it was a banana.
probably for v reversal activation
Obviously sfv version is better . Sometimes old is not gold
how do you tag while moving forward
No Juri combo video?
do Urien next
to many combo video
How are you able to do the crush counter into V-reversal combo?
Probably a rolling can from birdie.
+Yung Mulah Gaming Thanks, I was trying to figure out how to replicate it.
I like ultra better.
0:25 M.Bison?
Japanese names:
Boxer-M.Bison
Claw-Balrog
Dictator-Vega
These are originals. M.Bison (Mike Bison) is an inspiration of Mike Tyson. In US and EU versions, they changed the name because they didn't want to get sued. So these are the changed names:

fantastic!!!
sf4 balrog looks so plain compared to sfv balrog.
Neat video!
8 frames input lag
how did you do the v-reversal after the crush counter???
I'm guessing that it's a move that puts you into a lot of blocks fun and a fast crush counter.
He probably made Birdie throw a can from the right corner and raced to the left corner so that it would roll into Balrog after the crush counter.
+DanmakufuBlargel ya, or a banana out of frame
quem que joga com Balrog com a voz japonesa? acho que nem os japoneses.
vida noob:
Sf4 é bem melhor, porque além de ser original do street fighter 2,tem speciais.

Love Balrog, he's my favorite charge character.
Also, I have Super SFIV, 3:10 you can EX absorb more than one attack?
That's Red Focus, introduced in Ultra SFIV.
Oh, thanks.
I got a question on USIV why does it say m.bison???
In the japanese version M. Bison is balrog, Balrog is Vega and Vega is M. Bison here's an article explaining why if you're interested fightingstreet.com/folders/faqfolder/faqpage.html
@@rumbachumba330 Thanks
how'd you get the zonk punch to wall bounce?
Only the fully charged version does that
+Eq_NightGlider_ still cant get it, is it counter hit?
+Eddie Crooks It legit takes a minute to charge.. fancy but useless lol
+SuperUltra Muffin Unless you charge it every round anyways but that means getting rid of 2 buttons and that.. is a mistake
+Eddie Crooks he counts when you release them, if you old it a second, when you release it he says "one" if you old it a bit longer he says "two" etc. You need him to say "final"
at least in v seems less boring to watch
That fact of the day had me audibly cracking up.
balrog 💕
you're the greatest
tbag
sf4
SFIV better than SFV?
Don't make me laugh...
lol
Then GFY.
@@MrMonsterKen hey at least there was some anime scenes lmao
@@kidfromthe7899 What do you mean by that?
@@MrMonsterKen lol u never played sfiv lmao if you didn't see no cutscenes
meh....
SFV Balrog
garbage any invincible frame ,
Crapcom cant balance to save their fucking lives...
These comparison videos makes me realise how much I hate sf5
How come?
Yeah, I'm pretty disappointed. I thought SF4 was pretty bland and ultras/focus was dumb but everything else was nice. SF3s is still my favorite sf game. Really wish they would go back to sprites.
+Isaiah Guzman You like long and easy jab combos?
+Un1234l I don't know who you play but combos were not that long nor were jab combos. Everything was just more fluent to me. I usually played Urien or Akuma and I wouldn't consider their stuff that easy. You a Yun player?
+Isaiah Guzman I'm talking about 4. There were way more problems than just focus and ultras.
