The device they use is a primitive re-breathing system, it does contain a chemical that bind the carbon monoxide from the air he exhales.
Systems like this are still used today but if he want to dive with it he need a heavy weight belt 😁👍

@@atdzsny Yes, but CO2 is harmless to the body, the chemical in the filter removes the toxic part of the exhaled air. The device also enriches the air with a little oxygen (devices like this are used in scuba diving, they are called re-breathers ).
You can submerge the tailpipe. You just dont want to submerge the air filter box or intake

British army method is you never enter water in an unsnorkelled vehicle without your foot giving some good revs and keep it solid throughout because the moment you take foot off pedal, the engine will suck up water and hydrolock your engine instantly. Also your underside electrics need protecting because a short distance and bingo bango, shorted out because your engine has lost its common negative which is now connected to the main positive under there. You can make a rudimentary snorkel using some flexible exhaust pipe and aluminium tape and just have the exhaust up near the roof.
That’s all sound advice for Brit, but these guy’s operate on another level and it makes great content ❤
A snorkel is for the intake my guy.
The exhaust can be completely submerged as long as the air filter intake is above the water.

You guys need to get the spare air brand diving tank. It fits in the palm of your hand and you can go very deep using it. Definitely get two so that you can switch to the next tank when you run out of air in the first one underwater
