Seeing all these chickens on UA-cam and IG made me want to knit one so needless to say I’ve started mine she’s black with gray her name is morticia ❤ She’s coming along beautifully!
Knitilda is beautiful. I have knit 5 of them so far. I knit one out of handspun yarn. That one is a bantam chick 🐤
I definitely have plans for a scrappy chicken this year. I have a lot of partial balls of DK to use up.
She is gorgeous ,just like a hen brooding, her eyes are perfect
Love her!!!
I love Knitilda! She’s so pretty! DEXTER!! His little paws kept reaching for her, so cute.
We call that his "air biscuits" lol
Love the chicken!
❤love it🐔and your color choice 😍
I have made 4 emotional support chickens. I used Caron Latte cakes for 2 of them and they are soft fluffy with no yarn changes to get color changes.
That's a really good idea. I have a lot of those lying around and no idea what to make with them other than random shawls. Maybe I have now found a home for them in an emotional support chicken!
I finished my Emotional Support Chicken this past weekend. I used Bulky weight yarn, and it turned out massive! Sooo good! I love the colors you used.
A friend of mine used bulky yarn, too, and it's so gigantic. I love it lol. Honestly, the more gargantuan they get, the better.
Love her. She’s gorgous. I made one last week too. My knitting BFF gifted me the pattern. Thanks for sharing.
They're everywhere and I'm not mad about it, haha. Really makes my day to see them on my feed.
I’ve made 3 so far with more to come! They make great gifts.
I'm honestly surprised my family hasn't accosted my Facebook asking me for more already haha
Where did you get the pattern, please??
@@romystumpy1197 There’s a link to my project page in the description, which links to the designer!
Matilda is perfection! I plan to knit one or more soon too, just need to finish a test knit and then will raid the scraps I think!
Be prepared because they're addicting to make. Never thought I'd say that about knitting a chicken, but hey.
Hi Jenn, Becky and I were just talking about the chicken pattern this morning, so it is such fun to see your progress with yours. Very inspiring, looks like we'll be joining the fun, soon. Thanks for sharing, and I enjoyed the podcast, as always. ~Dreama
Happy to see you here :) Can't wait to see your chickens. I'm sure they will be amazing, especially if you're using your own yarns. I recommend a sparkly base, haha.
I’ve been calling them emotional support chickens for several years now, even have them in my Etsy shop 😊…nice to know the name is finally catching on @jennlikesyarn 😅👏🏻👏🏻
They definitely serve a valuable purpose, so I'm glad it caught on. Might as well call them what they are, ha!
Making one right now! I’m on the neck.
Lovely ❤
Making one now!
making one now.
Very cute I'm not sure I could do short rows😊
You totally could! They were confusing for me at first, too, because you have to do some fancy stuff - but not with garter stitch! So the chicken would be a good test run :)
I have never done short rows and I’m barely able to knit but I did it. I had to write it out to be able to keep track but I did it. I know you can too.
Just printed the pattern out to restart one
Precious 💕💕💕💕💕
hi how are you i was wandering how to get the pattern for the support chicken thank you
Hey, there! I found it on Ravelry under "Emotional Support Chicken" or you can buy it off The Knitting Tree LA's website.
@@jennlikesyarn thank you so much
Kntilda is adorable. I wish I would have bought a kit, I know I would string choosing colors. It is a years later and still no EmoChicken for me.
Oh, I think the part that you keep calling a tummy, is a breast.
I've made 2
Late to the game, but am knitting my Frank Hen Stein! Did you name yours yet? I'd call her Meghen Sparkle!!!
Oh darn! Guess this means I need to knit another one because that name is pretty amazing. She’s currently the beautiful Knitilda 😂
Love her! She looks like she’s wearing a bra 😄
I have bought ou we’re going to teach us and we would have knitted this chicken together!!!’ I don’t understand why no one likes to teach others who would love to knit animals????!!!! Ok you have knitted your choice clean what about is? Why no one teaches us …. I actually subscribed as I saw I’m knitting my chicken then I insubscrined. All the knitting videos are alike !!’n
Okay bye!
You expect people to show you step by step how to knit a paid pattern?
Step 1 - buy the pattern
Step 2 - buy yarn, needles, polyfill and safety eyes
Step 3 - read the pattern
Step 4 - if you have difficulty following the pattern, watch the designers video rather than expecting to find an in depth video elsewhere.
