Hello thank you for this video . If you have the permanent residence and you want to get the citizenship of Malta how can you do it , how much and how long it will take ? Thanks.
is it possible to get citizenship after 5 years in malta if I go down the MPRP path, I have heard different opinions about it. some agents propose it is possible but they do not know anyone who actually got a passport with MPRP.
Yes, it’s possible. It’s not as straight forward as with the direct citizenship by investment program and it’s a bit harder but it’s possible. Obviously, people don’t want to advertise this so they can sell you the more expensive program. So you can apply for citizenship after living 5 full years in Malta after you become permanent resident. You can apply for citizenship by naturalisation as per the Maltese Citizenship Act, Chapter 188 of the Laws of Malta. But you have to live for 5 full years in Malta.
If i go with donation option with rent of 10-12k, does it mean i can stay that rented property ? Someone known to me said it is only virtual address for keeping rent option? Is it correct ?
Greek Golden Visa is neither cheaper, not better (even though for some people might be a good fit). In Greece you have to invest €500k in real estate for most regions. And even though the €250k still exists for some regions - these are bad regions that are not really worth it. Malta PR you can get for €100k. The second big difference is when it comes to taxes. Even though, Greece has special tax regimes like the lump sum tax it’s not a tax free country. And If you become a tax resident in Greece you will have to pay taxes on your international income. At the same time, Malta has 0% tax on foreign earned income ( if it’s not brought into the country). So quite a bit different when it comes to taxes. Greece also has inheritance tax, estate tax, gift tax, etc. Malta does not.
As @MartinZhel said, it is not good. @user-rp6nt6jx3m You cannot work, you cannot use the public healthcare and it is almost impossible to get the citizenship. No need to mention you can never sell the property.
wait ...if u decide to rent the property... 0.5 But if there is no requirement to reside in malta ...how does the rent part work ??? 1. Do you have to live in the property ? what if i travel internationally a lot ? 2. can you sub lease the property ? 3. How long do i need to rent it ?? 4. is ther a way to rent a place for 5 years or so..if that is the requirement ?
It’s possible to apply for citizenship after living 5 full years in Malta after you become permanent resident. But it’s not something people want to advertise for a number of reasons. You can apply for citizenship by naturalisation as per the Maltese Citizenship Act, Chapter 188 of the Laws of Malta.
@@MartinZhel Would you mind writing about the reasons that people do not advertise? Is it like the Greek citizenship? I mean - you can apply for the Greek citizenship after 7 years but almost everyone knows that they will not accept it if you do not have Greek ancestor etc. Or they just want to charge people more money? Thank you
I am applying for MRPR now, but have a question about the benefits. I am not sure if I will be allowed to work, I have searched everywhere, and this video is the only one that mentioned able to work as one of the benefit. Not sure if that is true.
Once you get permanent residency you’re allowed to work in Malta. The reason why not many people mention it is because most of the people who can afford this program are not looking for a job 😀
€500k in assets, not necessarily all in cash. If you have a property worth €350k this adds up to the sum. Also from these €150k in liquid assets (cash, stocks or bonds).
I’m aware that the EU is taken Malta into the EU court for this but Malta is not backing down on this program. However, granting citizenship falls into the category of national laws, not EU regulations. And each country decides on its own what rules are for getting citizenship in their country. the EU doesn’t really have the authority here. So they will most likely lose in court.
@@MartinZhel EU can cut funding to Malta, and hit them hard financially, they know that, they even put pressure on Portugal, and Ireland to drop theirs.
Hi, could you please tell me in detail these points: 1- If I do master's in Malta, am I allowed to do part-time jobs? 2- After completing my degree, will I get post study visa and how much is it's duration? 3- After how much time can I apply for Maltese PR? 4- And when can I apply for citizenship after staying in Malta on permanent residency for some years? 5- What is the total number of years from degree to citizenship and is the citizenship guaranteed after pr? Thank you so much for your response.
@@MartinZhel what about work visa? When will I be able to get pr while on work visa and after acquiring pr, when can I apply for citizenship? Please reply

You’re welcome 😀
Hello thank you for this video . If you have the permanent residence and you want to get the citizenship of Malta how can you do it , how much and how long it will take ? Thanks.
It’s possible but it’s not that easy. You have to live at least 5 full years in Malta and for some people it might take much much longer.
Very nice video 👏 . So, how is the health system in Malta? I hope it's not like America. Golden visa looks like a great opportunity moving from usa.
The healthcare is pretty good.
If you get Maltese citizenship you get access to free healthcare not only in Malta but also in the whole EU.

Greek Golden Visa Program seems to be cheaper than this one and yet retains most of the advantages you mention, no?

If you’re an EU citizen you have the right to live in Malta, you don’t need the Malta Residency by Investment program

Can we get free medical or free or discounted rated education for children if take this permanent residency program ?
Free healthcare is only for Maltese citizens
Regarding the €500k in assets, does this process consider cryptocurrency as assets too?

@user-rp6nt6jx3m It is kind of rude but anyway. So, the MT gov has FAQ section in Turkish.
