    Silicosis, is causes by exposure to crystal Silica, which comes from chipping, drilling or grinding minerals like Glass. You MUST wear a proper mask and much more water to prevent the dust. It could be very dengerous, because dust is deposited in the lungs, this can not be taken lightly, gloves should also be used, as the powder enters the nails and can also be embedded in the skin.

    Hi. Nice work. Can I ask why do u wet the diamond tip at the start?

    • @IntanzHandmade
      @IntanzHandmade  6 років тому +1

      It helps reduce dust exposure by wetting it down. This means that you are protected from breathing in the toxic dust particles, like Silica dust, that are exposed during the grinding process.

    • @Ken_Dalton
      @Ken_Dalton 6 років тому +1

      Intanz Handmade ahhhhhh I see now. Thst makes alot of sense, I thought it may have been to stop the tip over heating haha. That's Great help, thank u for letting me know. I have the same dremel and recently got some diamond coated burs so I think Iam goin to give this a try thanks to your video ☺ I don't have the flexi shaft yet so I will try without first while Iam waiting to get one but it's Goin to be difficult to hold I think haha..Great channel always full of helpful advice and tips so much appreciated ☺ Anyway, Best wishes from Ireland 🍀 😉

    Hello, do you only wet the bit with the sponge in the beginning, or several times throughout? Also, the rag you are wiping the surface with throughout, is it damp or dry? Thank you for your time, I very much enjoyed your video!

      Hi. First sorry for the late reply. Yes im wet the bit with the sponge several times throughout the process. Im using dry cloth because i already wet the bit but damp cloth would be fine too. Thank you for watching my video. Hopefully its helpful.
