beginning to understand about power rail - i can study schematics but alone, i don't know, but watching you explain and reviewing the actual fix - doors in my mind open - now if i can learn to be productive with soldering, hahaha, again thank you
I really appreciate your good job but need to know how you identify shorts on a phone mother board, the toosl you use and also want to know about power supply usage on board, lastly I want to subscribe to your electronics school but u are going on holiday in 2weeks time how do u go about it? thanks.
Hey I have a question i have a iPhone 6. If all the capacitors that was shorted was removed and not put back can it cause any problem. the phone was working overnight after removing all the storage cap then the phone stop working I opened it up to test and nothing on the board gets hot what could be the problem? and by not replacing all the shorted cap would that be a problem. I even test my battery on another phone and it was still fully charged. Help me please. Thank you
good job sorin, difficulty in determining causes. but with hole in chip, probably heat blown out, made it whole again. difficulty level 10. job level 10. so you never cleaned, you did clean, you used the tweezers before putting the chip down, and the way the balls looked I was not sure it would even work.
i had some water damage on iphone 6 it started working again but one day i let the battery fully drain and since then it wont turn on. battery reads 3.4 v someone help
You a phone god OMG I hope I will be as good as you one day may I ask what is the program you use to identify things on the logic board please I can’t seem to see
hi I have a motherboard of iphone 6 almost a lot of candlers short even when I remove ic power, ic audio ic only charge the prose I do not change how I raise shorts
sir its possible if the charging ic is fault the phone will not coming on even if you charge the battery by your power supply? or why you dont try to change the battery to test if the phone is coming on before replacing the charging ic?
As usual u ar different at ur works ...i like it but want to see more works on mosfets sometimes we dont get ics then ur works ar remembered also do some bypass techniques of graphic chips when they ar dead which can be done on some models.
"It's risky Jason" Well Soren, what isn't? (I agree though, he should cash in now while the cashing is good. Like gamblers who play till they lose everything because they couldn't pick up and walk out while they were still up.)
It looks like there is a burn mark further down the board, and the touch screen is cracked, maybe the customer sat on the phone and caused a short circuit that destroyed the chip?
If you look up the charge control chip datasheet, it shows practically the exact same reference schematic as was actually designed into this board. There is some application note info in TI website, well worth reading, and covers each part of this layout. www.ti.com/lit/ds/slus702a/slus702a.pdf
this laptop mosfet is the same as the one i removed and bridged with solder, now the laptop only works with mains power and battery removed or just battery alone but not charging, i should put a mosfet back in place as i also get regular static shocks lol
maybe its the fluffy blanket lol the first mosfet is marked 4835GM 20704G the one i took off i thru away, would it be the same number but placed reversed? i know im asking stupid questions its early in my learning :)
yes and no, i can't find a schematic but my brother has the same laptop (i bought 1 each for a now failed business) his is also dead but i can find part number and maybe fix his while I'm at it :) i shall update you
so its taken this long to finally fix the laptop, i just took a mosfet from a dead laptop, the number didn't match but it was same size and same function (19v line) after stressing over it i just thought "it can't be worse than the solder bridge thats been there this whole time lol
I still think you are not quite 100% yet, illness leaves you a bit flat, the brain too. We all make mistakes, but we dont record them ha ha :)). That phone smoke was a "red herring", the idiot used a crap charger. Thank you for your enjoyable repairs :-D
I really struggle throughout the video, was so so confused but anyway thank you. Can’t get tired of learning from you.

Yes, works fine.

I LIKE YOUR VEDIOS SIR
it is a tristar chip
Goodmorning
this is probably a stupid question, but can a mobile phone boot up and start without a battery by just using a charger? thanks for reply...
No

My iPhone 6s plus stopped charging after a smoke came out of the lightning connector

you can't really get static shock from a 19v device, must be another reason
maybe its the fluffy blanket lol the first mosfet is marked 4835GM 20704G the one i took off i thru away, would it be the same number but placed reversed? i know im asking stupid questions its early in my learning :)
Well you threw away the old mosfet so you're screwed unless you can find a schematic and get the part number for the mosfet.
yes and no, i can't find a schematic but my brother has the same laptop (i bought 1 each for a now failed business) his is also dead but i can find part number and maybe fix his while I'm at it :) i shall update you
