Well you have may favorite car of all time! I owned the same 64’ Fleetwood during my senior year in HS and sold it 5-6 years later. Gas prices were high and traveling to work made it difficult. I’ve owned 31 vehicles over the years but still in search of this 64’ Fleetwood. Thanks for sharing.
Well thanks for this video, I owned this same color and year in the early seventies. My favorite of all Cadillacs ever and I’ve owned several, well built and comfortable to drive , I’d like to own another, this is my third 64’ video today… Happy Driving!
My first car was the 1964 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Sedan. I put it together in a junkyard. Just loved it. Super beautiful lines. Mine did have the automatic dimmer switch. Mine was white with red interior and real leather seats.
I owned a 64 Coupe DeVille years ago... I called her Snow White...she was white with black vinyl roof....very sharp in 1972 when I bought her from orig. owner
this Fleetwood is the baby limo Caddy...very deluxe Sedan DeVille ..formal rear window...many options...... her Mom is the Fleetwood 75 Limo.....the ultimate ride caddy
can't wait to see how you make this look after some love she needs! I know what you mean about the early 60's GM's they had this special small- was just great!!!!
I like that era. I lack the automotive skills you probably have, so I grabbed a ‘73, a little more put together to begin with, so I wouldn’t have to do as much with it… but nice project for you. I look forward to seeing it driving.
I had a 64 Coupe DeVille.... it was the update from 63 year....64 is much nicer ....little fins had a slant to them.....63's were taller and not as attractive
@@MrTitan225 for me it was the front grill. The 63 had a chrome horizontal bar and the 64 had a painted one the same color as the car. Just checked out the 63 vs 64 tailfin back and brake light. Yes, I see the difference there too. New car years were such a looked forward to event back then as each year had significant changes unlike now. Thanks
your right....back then cars changed look every few years...unlike today, the style goes on for years before a style change.......My white 64 Coupe was very nice...I called her Snow White...my neighbor bought car new and pampered her...I was the 2nd owner back in 71..the 65 year was a total new look for Caddy......I liked it..... I seen a 1965 Caddy ad...it said below picture.....Surprisingly new ..Superbly Cadillac ! .... Nice wording for the ad.....Ive owned 61 Ragtop...64 and 67 Coupe Deville's ....also 84---92----06----2017 XTS .... I know my Caddy's.....
@@MrTitan225 I've only owned one Cadillac. It was a 1968 Sedan DeVille. It wasn't taken care of though. Belonged to a car repair instructor at the local Jr college. That's.when I learned mechanics by profession aren't good at maintenance of their own cars. Back in the 60s and 70s Cadillac was the standard for luxury cars. Then imports competed. The 60s cars were my favorite era. Especially the suicide door Lincoln's. I liked the pillored sedans too of the mid to late 60s Cadillac, Olds 98 and Buick Electra 225. My least favorite years for Cadillac were 1959 and 1960. In fact those years were my least favorite for all cars. I bet your 61 convertible was a beauty. I liked that year Cadillac alot. Especially the Fleetwood model.
The 68 year was the update for the 67....I owned a 67 Coupe...I liked the 68 much better....Olds 98 and Buick Electra were considered as a poor man's Caddy..lol..both very much luxury cars ... not much less in price than a Caddy.......

I've always loved the '64 Cadillac. I had a '62 Fleetwood and a '67 Sedan DeVille. Looks to be very clean and original.....Great find!!

1964 Fleetwood is my favorite.
Great car. My first car, back in the late 70's, was a 1964 Series 62. It was named Hildegard and is one of my all time favs.
64 was last year for 62 series line....name changed in 1965 to Calais series coupe and sedan.....this was the base model Caddy's

Very classy car so was the 62 Fleetwood
Love this Era of classic luxury carrs . Especially Cadillac Fleetwoods . When you saw one of these you know what your looking at.

good looking car sir. the thing that scares me about these cars is the wiring...i hate electrical. lol
I agree. Someone has had the drivers window master switch panel off and it is a mess.

I just learned how to tell the difference between the 1963 and the 1964. Always loved the Fleetwoods from 1961 to 1968, with the 8 power windows.

Does this have a vinyl top or painted. They were great to drive.
It is painted. Not sure if it originally had a vinyl top or not.
Automotive hygiene is important!
Any updates
I’m afraid not much. I only moved it to the shop. Too many cars and not enough time!
