I have a APR Stage 1 06 A3 2.0T Sportback, looking to get a crackle map and a aftermarket downpipe with an aftermarket catback as well. Currently have stock exhaust with res delete, most of the time it sounds pretty good, occasionally droney, but will lose the DSG fart sometimes throughout the drive. Have you ever had any experience like this? Not sure if it's because of the stock DP and res delete or if my DSG is on the way out, done 243K, but otherwise it's a really good car and Mk5 GTI's/8PA A3 2.0T's seem to be the most reliable and solid as far as the other generation of GTI/2.0T's go.
Could be the RPM that your upshifting on, the GTI in this video just has a resonator delete and catless downpipe and it lets of a pretty loud DSG fart around 4-5k RPM, if your looking for loud DSG farts a catless downpipe is probably the best way to go
I have golf 5 gti stage 1,(no cat and tun exaust) and dsg sounds are heard occasionally if I hold the pedal in a certain position during acceleration)) maybe it's the firmware that makes the box switch faster....compare with the shifting in the video) (sorry for bad eng)
About to cop a dsg mk5 gti next week!! Looking to keep it stock for the year then go stage 2. I was looking at a dope ECS tuning forge BOV for the 2.0 TSi might have to cop that for my whip!
ChoklittRockett Awesome man, the DSGs are so good. Mine doesn’t have a BOV, just the whoosh from the CAI is good for me but they do sound really good on the TSI engines

Okay sweet, yeah with an engine rebuild you should be able to make good power on a K04 if you wanted, but nah I’m not sure what boost the stock turbo makes

You can find mk5's but they are not in a really good shape, some of them either have 250k+ km's or they are just riced up by an old german dude that installed ugly non functional air vents on the hood thinking that he's cool :)) I spend a lot of time on Mobile.de and belive me, some people in Germany don't really understand the differences between Tune and Rice. Great content by the way, keep it up.

Such great cars, I’ve had mine for around a year now and it’s been solid. look for one with good service history that’s been taken care of and you should have no major problems. I actually made a review of this car on my channel where I talk about my experiences etc if you wanna go check it out
Definitely get transmission flushed and a cam flower if it hadn't been done. Also check pressure. Mines in limp mode right now due to bad fuel pressure regulator. Caused the epc light to come on and cel. Caused underboost as well so acceleration is dimmed down.
dznielx Cheers bro, I bought all the parts needed for the tune which is a cold air intake and downpipe at minimum which cost about $950, and the tune with the downpipe fitted all together was about $2,450 in total for everything

as a mk5 gti owner myself I can tell you a 0-60 isn’t a proper way to judge the capability’s of these cars strictly cause of how much torque is sent to the front wheels. I’m stage 1 and i have a coworker who’s stage 2 with a ko4 and we’ve raced from a stop and it’s pretty much even until we get up around 40 then he starts to pull, strictly cause of the amount of wheel spin, otherwise he would’ve torched my ass cause he pushing nearly 80 bhp then i am. rolls from 40 and 60 truly show what these cars can do :)

its excess gasoline in the exhaust. burns up there instead of inside the engine so you can hear it pop

Can manual do these farts like when you make full throttle to 4-5000 rpm and release the throttle?
In a manual you won’t get any DSG farts, however you can map in pops and bangs still.
