I really enjoy this channel. It feels like I'm at the park with a buddy and just testing out discs. I personally use the Berg as a thrower and a putter. The great thing about putting with a Berg is that it really widens the margin for error. When I have 25+ ft putts I get nervous about over shooting the basket and having another challenging putt. So with more glidey putters I usually end up short. But with the Berg I can really run that putt without worrying about a difficult comeback putt if I miss because the Berg is only going to fly 10 ft past the basket, if that. Which helps me focus on making the putt rather than worrying about missing. It's a psychological thing for me too, lol. Great channel.

I appreciate that! I try to be as real as I can be and have fun while I’m out there. But I definitely can understand the Berg for putting. I’ll say it is a dead straight putter. If you putt it on straight line at basket it’s only going to go to that spot, just have to worry whether it’s high enough or not. If it makes you more confident then that’s a plus because confidence is everything on the putting green! Thanks for the input on the channel!

Love the Berg. I got the K1 soft on whim and it never leaves my bag now. Does awesome for short tee shots and upshots, although it can get you in trouble on rare occasions because you want to run everything with this disc. After getting this disc it only took 2 days to get my first ace with it

I hear ya on that! I think I remember seeing you throw this a lot at the one tournament we played in together! Atleast these don’t glide too much so usually don’t go too crazy far past basket of you run it lol

I appreciate your thorough review. I liked that you threw a variety of backhand and forehand shots. Looking forward to catching up on your content.

I’ve been waiting for this one bro. I’m gonna have to snag one of those K1 Softs.

Once I got my Bergs dialed in I dropped 2-3 shots a round. No joke. Between a Berg and a Prodigy M4 I can chase anything within about 150ft

Berg is a really good approach disc for distance control and staying close to basket. I like them on big elevation drop holes.

I bag three of them (K3, K3 Hard, & K1 Soft. I use them for putting, Short shots off the tee, and really also love them for ani-angle approaches. They are also really good forehand roller discs. Try the K1 Soft as a roller, it will go a little right then slowly come back left and curl.

I haven’t rolled them yet but I could see them rolling good. Years ago I rolled slammers a lot and they have that fat rim that just likes to roll pretty straight and not do much other than that lol

@@DaddyDelpDiscGolf With the K1 soft I can bounce it over obstacles on forehand rollers, great for woods rollers. What I find is if the berg is rolled straight up and down, right-handed, it will move slightly right straighten out, and then do a tight curl to the left. It is also easy to get it to curl right. Play with it you'll see.

Other than it holding whatever angle you put it on with power, the other good selling point on it, is it doesn't skip or slide very far at all. I have to tell myself it's okay to throw harder than I think. Even if I land pin high, it's NOT sliding much past the basket. Settles nicely. Only thing I haven't tried with it yet is a roller.

Yea that’s true. It doesn’t get much ground play at all. But I haven’t tried a roller yet but wouldn’t be surprised to see it roll decently since it has such a blunt nose

I just got a base plastic berg at the nadgt championship…..way better than I thought it was gonna be.

I now have 2 base plastic ones too a s they are straighter than the premium plastic ones. I can get slow moving shots to the right that are just dropping out of them. Really nice

    They have their purpose.
A lot slower then Prodigy A-Series molds. Less glide. Less fade.
Like a really slow pig 👍🏻

    • @DaddyDelpDiscGolf
      @DaddyDelpDiscGolf  2 роки тому +1

Definitely way slower than the a series lol.
It’s a weird stability to describe because you can put it on hyzer and itll hyzer but it doesn’t push its hyzer really, it’s a hyzer drop lol

      Yupp!
It’s an extremely low glide (real spec, not just a flight number).
Slow enough that the dump fade is more of a drop.
Kinda of like comparing it to a NSH Mr.Putt which is probably the only other PDGA approved disc in this type of slot. The Berg is honestly a lot more comfortable.
There are other approach discs, but none of this caliber 👍🏻

Funny hearing noobs complain about this disc because they can only throw it 50 feet.

I can see it being a useful disc for new and seasoned players. But yea, it’s not the easiest to get distance for new players but it’s not too bad lol. I know a lot of people that say they can’t throw much more than ‘200-240’ with it. Idk exactly how far I can get it but I have parked a few holes that are around 250’ so I know I can throw it that far Atleast lol. I mean I don’t expect much with a 1 speed haha
