This is one National Park I have to build up the courage to do. Because, it's just you out there. Really just you. However, it's worth it. Sucks the rain made a little challenging out there. It always do.
I stayed near the harbor so there were plenty of people. So many that you can only stay in that camp one night. 3 mile camp is just down trail and you could always plan to go and stay at that camp for a few nights instead of trekking alone across the island and still have an amazing trip!
Could u have went on the later ferry or do you have to take the 800 ferry if u stay the night. I am planning on 2 days 1 night but wouldnt have time to do what i want if i have to be at the 800 ferry
I think the national park only runs one ferry per day. You can charter with private boats and I’m not sure on their schedules. They also have sea planes that fly via private companies.
Isle Royale is a place you tell time with a calendar, not a watch. Thanks for sharing your brief trip!
Cool place. Awesome traversing through those wooden planks. Great video, Stay Active!
Thanks!!
