I’m so thrilled that you were able to come back and have these adventures. I don’t think Americans realize how unique it is to have so many diverse landscapes and so much protected wilderness within our own borders. I cannot wait to keep experiencing my country through your eyes.
Thank you! We are over the moon that it all worked out with this van and it has allowed us to go to some incredible places already 💛 You’re so right.. that’s what makes the US roadtrip so special and so exciting.. the variety of what you can see and experience!
That's because Americans are two busy living their lives in their country. I too am glad you Travel Beans have been able to return to The USA and find a nice Class B Motorhome to enjoy The USA and I'm looking forward to your continued adventures of places in my own country I probably didn't know were there and haven't visited. Thank You from east central Ohio.
I am certainly one who does appreciate the landscapes our country offers. One needs only to abandon the interstates and get on the 2-lane highways. I personally crave solitude and the wild places ever since I was a child.
Maybe some Americans don't appreciate our landscapes, National and State Parks and wildlife but many do. I know I do. When I'm able to vacation that's where I go. Give me the outdoors, my camera and I'm one happy woman.
Your reactions to seeing the moose was awesome. And the otters and sunset on the lake, then the morning mist on the lake and the moose a second time. All of it made my eyes watered up. Thank you guys for your appreciation of America.
Aw thanks so much Christopher 🙏 we’re so glad to hear you enjoyed it. It really is such a special place. So thrilled to be able to continue working our way around all the beautiful places around this country 🥰
In my 68 years I have never even heard of Royal Island. Thanks to you my bucket list is expanding. What an enchanting place, especially when seen through your eyes. God bless you Beans.
omg you walk for hours and hours without seeing a moose and then one walks past your door. that's the universe telling you thank you for your appreciation and love put into the forest ❤
Your reactions to seeing the moose at your cabin and then the otters in the lake was just so genuine. This is why I love watching your videos. And your appreciation for nature makes it even better. Love this!
Yes, Isle Royale is the least visited National Park, but has the highest rate of visitors who are returnees. My favorite place in the US and happens to be my home state. Lots to see in Michigan's UP as well if already up that way. As for staying in cabin like they did, they're only found by Rock Harbor and are often rented out early. There are a few privately owned cabins on the north end as well. Rest of the island there are 36 back country camp grounds which are accessed by hiking. Last time I went Daisy Farm campground was mud quagmire and were walking knee deep in it 😂
Thank you so much for what your doing. I'm turning 60 next month traveled all over the USA until about 7 years ago when my wife of 25 years passed suddenly. within 6 months I ended up hurt at work and have been disabled ever since. so my adventures of late are much smaller. I know how hard you work behind the scenes to do all this. but I have to say again thank you it provides a brief escape for so many of us. looking forward to your next video..Cheers
You Guys discovered The Isle Royale what my friend Don did many years ago. Wildlife you can almost touch. What a way to start your tour of National Parks. Thank you for taking us along. Sending you much love😍😍😍 Harriet, Jim and Yuki. Richmond, Va.
My first trip there was 1977. I spent a summer on Isle Royale in 1980. With tears in my eyes I am comforted to see it is little changed in the 42 years since. 42 Years! I ought to go back.
I'm originally from Michigan. It's been such a pleasure seeing the wonders of the state through your eyes. I'm so glad you've been able to experience it.
This is my personal second best video after your dolphin adventure. Thank you for taking me with you guys. To see a breathtaking sunrise & sunset in a remote place is a longtime dream of mine💙
The combination of your beautiful videography, your humour, your passion and choice of music, make for wonderful videos that I look forward to each week. That island takes the cake!!!
What an amazing experience, it was so beautiful 😍 to see the sunset 🌅 those incredible colors only Mother Nature can give you that experience, I’m in love with your channel thank you Emma and Alex for sharing this incredible video.
If I ever go to America, it's the National Parks I'd head for too. The island was so beautifully peaceful and special. Funny how you walked for hours then Mr. Moose appeared just outside your door lol. Can't wait to see all the other National Parks with you. Thanks for sharing,
How fun. So happy you enjoyed seeing the moose. She was a beauty. I grew up in Alaska. We had many moose visiting our home in our little town in the Matanuska Valley. You do have to be careful, they can charge you. Moose are my favorite animal.
As a native of Michigan, it warms my heart that you're finding our amazing state so beautiful. Most people have no idea how beautiful it actually is. Looking forward to your next adventure!
The moose came by to reward your dedication in searching for one! The sunset and otters were their way of thanking you for bringing attention to this wonderful island national park! I’m in my 70’s and I had never heard of this island paradise! Thank you for taking us with you!!
As a person from Rouyn-Noranda (Northern Québec, Canada) I smiled throughout your video. It was nice to see you two so amazed and happy to see things I saw regularly throughout my life. It brought back a whole new appreciation for the beauty of our Canadian wilderness.
Oh one more thing, I was watching another video, where this person was just entering Canada and a local told her that he had lived in Canada for 25 yrs or more and never saw a moose. So I am so happy that you and Emma had that opportunity. Yippy .... amazing!!!!!!!
Great episode and Amazing Moose encounter!! Reminds me of the time I was at a Wedding at a resort in Uclulet on Vancouver Island. Having told the Hotel staff one of my bucket list experiences was to see Orca's in the Wild. I turned up at the Hotel Cocktail bar, sat at the window overlooking the bay Negroni in hand and lo and behold a pod of Orca (with baby) came swimming past before I even took a sip! They said that's never happened the whole 12 years they'd been there. That's the best Negroni I ever had. Felt like a lottery moment! 🤯🦨🦦🦆🐿🙌
10 squirrel rating for this video! I loved it Emma & Alex! It was all so beautiful - I got tears in my eyes during the sunset. You are both truly blessed for having this experience!
Wow ! That was amazing. Your 63 National Parks challenge is an epic one and that 1st one - how can you beat that?! Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Watched this with a huge grin, how lucky to see all that with the sunset as a backdrop, and see you both so happy together. Living the best life. Thanks for taking us along.
You both seem so relaxed in this video. 😊 I smiled so big at your excitement in seeing the moose. So happy for y'all. Hopefully as you continue your National Parks adventure you'll see a bull moose. They're quite impressive and huge! Thanks for taking us along on this adventure. Oh! I think Yellowstone is my favorite National Park so far. With Zion a close second. Denali is wonderful too.
If someone hasn't said so...the knocking on the wood that you hear is probably a woodpecker. It is a bird that digs holes in trees. And yes, the trees have probably fallen over naturally. I live in "the woods" and the trees fall naturally. I'm so glad you guys are here in the US enjoying the adventures! It is so fun to watch y'all!
It’s so lovley to see you enjoying this island so much! I work in Human Wildlife Conflict in a national park and I see bears, elk and moose almost on a daily basis. Sometimes I forget how meaningful it is for visitors to see these animals for the first time. Here’s hoping you have more wildlife sightings!
So the moose was hanging about the cabin, thinking "There should be humans here!" For seven hours she wandered in the woods and finally you drifted into her path. Great day for all!
Thank you for another splendid video. When I was a child, my parents took us all to small, housekeeping cabin on the Garden Peninsula in the UP. No electricity, no running water, an outhouse (y'all call it a loo), a pot-belly stove for heating and an LP gas stove and refrigerator (a concession to mother). No radio or TV either. The solitude and peacefulness is life-changing. Glad y'all had the opportunity to experience it first hand. You will never be the same. Safe travels, y'all!
I haven’t been to Isle Royale recently, but I’m so thrilled to see it hasn’t changed. Even better that you both enjoyed your experience so much! I’ll have to make a trip soon ☺️
My goodness that sunset was just stunning! What a magical place. I have family in Michigan and have visited multiple times but not made it to the U.P. as yet. The island certainly looks like it is well worth a trip! Great video 👏🏻
It was so cool seeing someone from across the pound seeing what Michigan has to offer. You actually did a better job of checking off boxes then I did in my 65 years. I enjoyed watching y'all enjoy it. Well done Beans!
Oh my!! That was wonderful!! Two favorite parts; Alex eating his sausage and Alex’s moose sighting face!! Also, your photography was stunning!! Fabulous job Beans. Love you guys!!
This isn’t the UK…when you hike in N. America you need to be prepared. But this was a great video and thanks for sharing. It was beautiful and you left us with a sense of calm. I’m thinking your travels are going to keep getting better and better.
The Teton National park is my favorite. Gorgeous views, spectacular mountains, fabulous wildlife (moose in your campground), bison, grizzly and black bears, incredible hikes. Gros Ventre campground is a great place to see it all, right outside the park. The town of Jackson is fun. Moose Junction has the best “apre hike” bar ever (sit on the roof and look for bald eagles) and watch the Snake River lumber by.
You guys are so wonderful, enjoyed this video immensely! I've lived in Northern ONtario, and seen lots of moose, so you were too cute about seeing it! The otters would have had a thick large tail if they were beavers, that's how to tell the difference in that lighting. The sunsets are amazing here (I live in Windsor, across from Detroit, and we have those amazing sunsets every night....why you ask? pollution). So, your sunset was so amazing, with those colours, due to the refracting of light through pollution particulates. But it does give us amazing beauty! ps don't approach a moose, stay far away if you can. They are actually a dangerous animal, or can be.
That was heaven….so enjoyed visiting with you. Thank you for all the beauty you captured…well done! And I am so thrilled that you got to see not just one, but two moose sightings!
This video was perfectly serene to watch on a normal Monday morning, I'm so pleased The Beans got to have a wonderful wildlife experience--moose, otters, and skunk, oh my! :D My favorite national park is in my backyard: Great Smoky Mountains! Can't wait to watch along when you make it down this way, whenever that may be! Cheers!!
I'm so happy yall had that experience. As someone born and raised in Michigan it's always nice to see people discover the beauty this state has. I only wish I could meet yall sometime!
So glad you guys had a great experience on Isle Royal. Got to tell you, as a Canadian, it looks like pretty much every park we've got up here. If you get a chance, come north for lots more of what you saw in the UP.
Born & raised brit here, living in Alberta. So true in Canada. Can't wait till beans go to Glacier NP in Montana. Pretty much guaranteed to see a few black bears and likely a griz, unless they're hibernating.
I'm super grateful to live and have grown up in a place thats very close to this scenery and wildlife, like I have moose in my front yard from time to time and I see little critters and reindeer basically daily. To see how other people find these creatures so remarkable makes me realize and appreciate their beauty again too.
My favorite is the Smokey mountains in TN. So breath taking and every time we go we always see bears for sure. We stay in Pigeon Forage Gatlinburg area. We rent a cabin in the woods
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen on UA-cam in a long time. The only thing I would change is the thumbnail pic. A shot of you both while seeing the mouse for the first time would be epic. It was such a beautiful moment of two people who truly appreciate nature, the look on your faces was priceless. Happy trails, Beans!
Alex!, I appreciate that you started at marker 4:38 with what you disliked about yourself and the reason behind it being impatient. I say this because I have been married to my wonderful husband for 41 years and I can relate with you. I recognized this in myself later in our marriage, and it was for my good. Maturing in patients is a blessing and it couldn't have come in a better way. I enjoyed watching this Tuesday evening and I hope you both have many more animal encounters.
If you have ever wondered what a kiss from our creator feels like? This is what it feels like! Absolute pure pleasure 😍! You are going to experience many more beautiful moments in this big great country! I absolutely loved this video! Thank you for sharing! 🙏💕🥰
So beautiful. It makes me so happy to see the both of you experiencing our American wildlife. I forget and take for granted my Western Massachusetts life. Please don't be offended, but you are like little children that have the ability to experience real amazement and joy. I can't wait to live like that again as an adult like the two of you.
Its moments like these watching through someone else's eyes the things we see in canada so frequently become special again. I forget sometimes how lucky we are to live here and it's nice to reset 😌 look around and just re appreciate how amazing it is.
Oh WOW that was a magnificent video! Absolutely stunning footage of that sunset! What a beautiful island, it’s breathtaking, thank you for sharing that 💕
Your visit has definitely moved Isle Royale up my bucket list. I live in Michigan and need to go. So glad you got to see a moose. My sister and I are crazy obsessed about seeing moose. Safe travels
I'm in tears! 😭 That was so incredibly special and magical and I felt your awe and wonder! ✨ I feel like I would go to the United States just to go to this island! Even if I didn't get to see a moose or otters at sunset, it totally seems like my kinda place! Thanks for taking us with you Beans! 💚😘
I love that you are both so excited to see the wild animals and wilderness areas of this beautiful country, so many Americans take for granted what is in their own back yard. That island would be my sanctuary, few people, wildlife, and nature. A couple of things for everyone a adhere to that will keep these places pristine: Pack out what you pack in Leave campsites better than you found them Never take anything (artifacts, rocks, driftwood, etc) from NP, NF, SP, etc, leave them for others to enjoy Do not pick living plants as many are protected species Be respectful of other noise, music, etc
I’m originally from Alaska and moose are a dime a dozen up there! They walk through town on the roads! I had one stick it’s head through my bedroom window when I was a kid and it let us touch its nose (don’t recommend, had the window open for air and it walked up!) Was nice to see how excited you got to have one walk right in front of you!
Yo Beans, Pure Michigan 🇺🇸 USA. Born and raised in the state of Michigan was gone 4 years when I was enlisted in the USMC. Came back home as soon as I was Honorably Discharged. I will be 67 in October never get tired of this State
Hi guys, I’m from England so have spent the whole day watching the Queens State funeral . It’s been a wonderful, but emotional occasion. So when I realised the beans had posted their vlog, I thought great, something to end the day on a high. What a beautiful, peaceful island. The lesson I’ve learnt from you guys is, don’t hike for miles and miles. Lie in bed all day and let the wildlife come to you. Brilliant 😂👍
@@debgunson2967 Hi Deb, most vloggers record their contents 2,3 or 4 weeks in advance. So they’re always somewhere else for security reasons. Some vloggers in the past have been stalked. There might be other reasons. They may well acknowledge the Queen on the next post.
Not gonna lie. Besides having goosebumps, especially between 15':00 and 19:00, I felt something else, in my eyes, yep tears Absolutely soul stirring. I defy anyone that can paint pictures as breathtaking. That place is more beautiful than the name evokes. All thanks to a lovely couple who I've become quite endeared to over the nearly three years since I found them. Who needs curtains for these windows to our world that you guys so graciously and awesomely provide us.
What a lovely comment Scott! We appreciate your kind words and support over the years. Comments like this mean the world to us and we have a tear in our eyes as well ❤️
That was a truly BEAUTIFUL video ❤ Delicately handled, expertly edited.... Just so haunting and magical. I really felt like I was there with you guys 😍🥰 I even teared up when I saw the Moose! Your reactions just made it so real. As someone who is around your age but too unwell to travel anymore.... it breaks my heart that I can't experience this sort of wonder first-hand anymore...... but through your video, I came close. So thank you for giving me that gift 🙏 My favourite National Park that I've been to so far is probably Pltivice Lakes in Croatia/Slovenia. But there are so many aren't there! And they all offer something unique. So I can't wait to see the rest that you guys get to! :) P.S- You were super brave going out into the heart of the wilderness with literally NO-ONE around for help 😶😵😱 Growing up in Australia with all our massive snakes 🪱 & spiders 🕷.... I would not have been keen on walking around with grass that close to my feet where things that crawl & slither could be hiding! LOL Xx
Regarding how thrilled you were to see the sunset with the otters frolicking in the water in such a beautiful, peaceful place, I love how a book I read years ago described such moments as "God's kisses". And yes, I believe that our Creator does orchestrate such moments just to give us one of His "kisses". Very special indeed! Thank you for sharing this amazing journey with us!
So glad you're enjoying yourselves. You guys are so funny. The wife and I have been to most national lands in the US in our cargo camper. I think you'll find that even with all the cities in this country a vast part of the US is just as rural as this, and not just with national parks. We've done 60,000 miles over the past 12 years and there's still much more to see. We live in Maine, and Sylvester, our moose visits us once and awhile here.
That’s awesome! Love that there is always going to be more to see.. it never gets boring! 🤩 So cool you have a local moosey visitor! We are excited to visit Maine - Acadia in the autumn is high on our bucket list!
Seeing wildlife life moose and deer in their own environment never gets old but it sure was fun to see their excitement of seeing their very first one.
The expressions on your faces when you saw the moose... priceless. I wish all Americans had that look of wonder and joy. We forget the wonders of our country when there is so much going on.
Hey my Bean-buddies! That was just pure serene magic! Those were scenes from a nature documentary! Especially the sunset and the shots from the waterplane! But believe me! You are soooo in for a treat! There are some incredible spots in the USA! This summer we were at the Mesa Verde National park with the unique historic buildings while you can spot eagles and lizards and deer and more if you are lucky. And we toured the Rocky mountains National park over route 34 (which is only open from June to September) which is the highest road in the USA ! We saw moose and elks and marmots and squirrels there. The we also visited Great Sand Dunes National Park. Totally different from anything else you can visit. Absolutely unique! And ehh Grand Canyon of course. There is SOOOOO much out there and you will see animals you did not know they exist 🙂 About snakes: They are fine.. They will not bother you as long you keep in a distance they can not bite. Most of them are harmless ! And even the rattlesnakes , cottonmouthes, copperheads and coral snakes are not aggressive as long you won't bother them. The ones you have seen until now are garter snakes and they are harmless ; they only poo on you when you grab them ;-)
Wow! Loved hearing all the places you’ve visited.. it’s getting us excited for when we go to these places!! We are so excited for the variety there is to see here! It will keep us entertained for years!
Stunning island!! Definitely on my list of places to visit!! Hilarious that after walking for 7+ hours you didn’t see a moose until you were sat back at the cabin!! 😂
Trust me Al, if I was there (Aimee) It was have been ME that got stunked, my luck 😂😂 I was wishing i was there with you, then you mentioned a 10 mile hike. That's me out lads, sorry - it seems you dont even need to leave your cabin to see a moose! - amazing!😂Love the new idea of visiting all the National Parks! - looking forward to watching along 🥳🥳🥳
I’m so thrilled that you were able to come back and have these adventures. I don’t think Americans realize how unique it is to have so many diverse landscapes and so much protected wilderness within our own borders. I cannot wait to keep experiencing my country through your eyes.
That's probably because a lot of places make you pay money to see nature. I love America🙃..
Thank you! We are over the moon that it all worked out with this van and it has allowed us to go to some incredible places already 💛 You’re so right.. that’s what makes the US roadtrip so special and so exciting.. the variety of what you can see and experience!

Who's mincing onions? Brilliant reactions, Love the videos. Also if that's your reaction to a Moose can't wait till you encounter a Buffalo.
@@TravelBeans why did that moose have coller?

So happy that the moose found you! Have a great week.
Isle Royale really is a hidden gem of a National Park! I took the boat last year. I also stayed in my tent which made me less eager to see a moose! 😅
I'm originally from Michigan. It's been such a pleasure seeing the wonders of the state through your eyes. I'm so glad you've been able to experience it.
Thank you Joan! You live in a beautiful part of the US 🥰
@Joan Broadway, Can’t wait to experience Michigan myself. Waiting to retire, them I’M OFF!!!

This isn’t the UK…when you hike in N. America you need to be prepared. But this was a great video and thanks for sharing. It was beautiful and you left us with a sense of calm. I’m thinking your travels are going to keep getting better and better.
True
Wow - I thought the sunset was amazing, but that last sunrise was breathtaking. Thank you for showing us this national park.
35,000 steps...it was inhumane! 😂 that sunrise with the mist on the water 😍
My favorite national park is in my backyard: Great Smoky Mountains! Can't wait to watch along when you make it down this way, whenever that may be! Cheers!!
I got goose bumps and almost cried because I am so happy for you two in seeing the Moose. She was beautiful! Congratulations....
You two are awesome.Your joy for the simplest things is so calming. I wish everyone could feel that way at least once every day.
A veritable FEAST for the eyes, and the soul... and the ears as you paired such lovely music with it. So calming and peaceful! Blessings to you both!
This makes me so excited for the journey you guys are about to go on
If you have ever wondered what a kiss from our creator feels like? This is what it feels like! Absolute pure pleasure 😍! You are going to experience many more beautiful moments in this big great country! I absolutely loved this video! Thank you for sharing! 🙏💕🥰
Beautiful Special Experience! So much to see in the United States. Every state has very special places. Thanks for sharing with us. 👍🏻👍🏻
So beautiful. It makes me so happy to see the both of you experiencing our American wildlife. I forget and take for granted my Western Massachusetts life. Please don't be offended, but you are like little children that have the ability to experience real amazement and joy. I can't wait to live like that again as an adult like the two of you.
"I'm just one of those people that would get skunked" hahahaha, this made us laugh so much! The Isle Royale wilderness is so beautiful!
So cool moose sighting! Amazing sunset and epic sunrise! Loving this vlog!
You two really make me smile. I look forward to seeing every episode you put out. You should have you’re own TV series. Keep up the great content.
Its moments like these watching through someone else's eyes the things we see in canada so frequently become special again. I forget sometimes how lucky we are to live here and it's nice to reset 😌 look around and just re appreciate how amazing it is.
This is the most beautiful and sincere video you’ve ever done. And I’ve been following you guys for about four years. Thank you for the great video!
I can't believe that you saw a moose drinking a beer and editing your videos, who knew they were so clever 😗
A couple of things for everyone a adhere to that will keep these places pristine:
Pack out what you pack in
Leave campsites better than you found them
Never take anything (artifacts, rocks, driftwood, etc) from NP, NF, SP, etc, leave them for others to enjoy
Do not pick living plants as many are protected species
Be respectful of other noise, music, etc
I’m originally from Alaska and moose are a dime a dozen up there! They walk through town on the roads! I had one stick it’s head through my bedroom window when I was a kid and it let us touch its nose (don’t recommend, had the window open for air and it walked up!) Was nice to see how excited you got to have one walk right in front of you!
Yah … I lived in AK for 50 years … NEVER saw one that tagged! What was that all about! Hmmm 🤔
I was a bit disappointed that they didn't acknowledge the passing of their Sovereign. 😔
@@debgunson2967 Hi Deb, most vloggers record their contents 2,3 or 4 weeks in advance. So they’re always somewhere else for security reasons. Some vloggers in the past have been stalked. There might be other reasons. They may well acknowledge the Queen on the next post.
@@debgunson2967 Perhaps they're republicans. Not all Brits worship the monarchy.
Comments like this mean the world to us and we have a tear in our eyes as well ❤️
I’m beyond happy for you that you got to see a moose! 🤗 You have found an absolutely beautiful area.
Thank you! 💛
Beautifully photographed & edited video! Favorite NP: Glacier-Waterton NP in Northern Montana
So cool you have a local moosey visitor! We are excited to visit Maine - Acadia in the autumn is high on our bucket list!
Seeing wildlife life moose and deer in their own environment never gets old but it sure was fun to see their excitement of seeing their very first one.
Best moose sighting ever, but was the moose drinking the beer or were you?!:) Love your reaction!!
Lol! It did sound like he said there was a Moose walking up drinking a beer while he was editing.
@@dananorris6242 the former Language Arts teacher in me has to laugh!
The state if Maine is loaded with moose, also Arcadia National park, whales, lobster, and like 95% of the state is empty.
THANK YOU... thank you for taking me on this journey........ I will never see what you have just witnessed......... YES!! TRULY magical!!
Anyone else start crying when the moose showed up? So happy you put your fear aside and went. This was magic.
Wow! So incredibly and almost unbelievably beautiful! Thank you for a treat of a lifetime for taking us with you.
Such a beautiful and fun video! So happy you guys got to see a moose and such cute otters. The look on your faces was priceless 😊😊😊
This is my favourite video. I’ve watched 3 times. When you return….come back when the leaves are turning.
you two are unbelievable. Thank you for sharing those experiences and places, places that if not for you, I would never know that they existed.
