Tbf, they did that a while ago. It feels a lot better to the point where I've confidently used it in trials, but no one uses it to know that. You have to be right up against the enemy to ensure the knife actually touches the target, if the knife doesn't touch it won't hit. They 100% need to improve the tracking when it comes to skinny targets and the legs of tall targets though. Because it really struggles with them, the tracking gets confused with the legs, typically going in between them because it doesn't know which one to hit. It's sometimes okay for skinny targets, but sometimes it lunges straight past them annoyingly. What they shouldn't do is increase the aim assist by a significant amount again, there are better ways of solving the issue. It shouldn't go back to the original state where you could hit an enemy that was a meter in front of your knife, the knife should connect. That was absolute hell in PvP, although it had other more significant issues back then. But that level of aim assist shouldn't be on anything. They have a really big issue with things like this. Where they compensate for bad tracking by increasing the aim assist on most supers to astronomical levels. Then when the aim assist is understandably nerfed, the awful tracking is made apparent.
You would think it would. Makes it truly exotic. Don’t know why they didn’t consider that. So many people would use it and scrap a ton of auto rifles is likely why tho. Slippery slope.
Honestly why not give it more, and not just for hard light but for Dead Messenger and Borealis. Give solar Heal Clip and Incandescent, give arc Eddy Current and Voltshot, give void Repulsor Brace and Destabilizing Rounds. Although Borealis should have rapid precision hits apply scorch, jolt, or volatile with the corresponding element.

Spectral blades, and most roaming supers, need literally a 200% damage buff. They need to do more total damage than one-off supers by a substantial margin since you are in those supers for 15 seconds, so roaming supers would be high total damage but lower DPS while one-offs would be high dps, then swap to weapon rotations.

It suffered from bad hit registration, but it always did decent damage. It actually used to one-shot bosses with titan bubbles. Now it's just the best roaming super in the game.
@@FlashesSoccer011 The best roaming is song of flame. Damage wise Glacial is slightly higher but ONLY if all the crystals hit which isn't very often. And that's only looking at super versus super. Song of flame also provides 50% dr to you and allies, 25% damage, and you can still use your weapons which if you do can actually hit higher than a glacial quake super. And since both tend to last 90% of a damage phase you can't make up for the loss of heavy/special with behemoth. Also glacial quake is horrible in team settings because it blocks everyones damage unless they're above the titan.
I understand Knucklehead Radar was strong but it seems like it got hit by a hammer. What I find weird is the buff duration being so short now, while One-Eyed Mask gives you 8 seconds of tracking when you take damage plus HP if you kill that target. If you now need to break your target's shields, give it back the 7 second duration, or maybe 5.5 or 6. P.S. This isn't an exotic I use, even though I'm a Hunter main. I've just never liked relying so much on having radar up all the time, it's just my feeling of what's balanced.
I was unaware that they disabled high ground but I noticed it never activated when I was getting kills in crucible. It still did really good without the perk being active though.
We still will not play spectral blades. They need to buff it and make it incredibly OP for an entire season, and then dial it back a bit once people actually get a flavor for it. Otherwise, we are never switching away from tether.
Only Legendary tonics give you a guaranteed weapon? So we just shouldn't use the Uncommon and Rare ones, even though we are forced to make dozens of them to unlock the legendary ones? Gonna be honest, that feels bad.
The entire tonic system is dog shit. Its the single worst thing they have ever made. They need to stick with crafting. They have had 10 years to get RNG loot drops right, and they still can't do it.
Dozens? I mean sure, It's 5 rare tonics to unlock 1 legendary so you will have a few, but surely you aren't making more after that. I've not even thought about them, they function in the exact same way rare and common weapons do. Were people *actually* using the rare and common ones? It's just an upgrade/progression pathway. I've given most of my rare and common tonics to Eido, I only ever made enough to do the tutorial at the start and unlock the legendary tonics.
@@seb5542 Oh no, once you unlock the next tier you shouldn't be making the lower ones. But to unlock just two rare tonics you need to make 12 uncommons. Multiply that out to all of the tonics and you get dozens. Progression is fine, but when they add effectively busy work in a time limited mechanic (this is seasonal/episodic content so will be vaulted once Frontiers hits) that doesn't provide you with any significant benefit it is not a good mechanic.
@@roachprime I completely agree with you. I think I just misinterpreted OP, but I can see where you're coming from. Cheers, I really appreciate it. The notion that legendary must be significantly better than rare and so on also further complicates things. It makes sense for armour and guns, but for something like this it feels bad to have the added busywork and nothing to show for it except for the legendary unlock. It's just not streamlined at all. As a weird person that primarily plays PvP, I find it doubly annoying. I don't play a ton of PvE, therefore I don't come across tonic materials often. So I don't get many tonics, and essentially wasting them at the start of each act doesn't feel great. If rares and commons had a different job, it wouldn't feel so bad. You can currently turn them in for rep + mats guilt free, but you have to wait on a rotation. The time it took to get the materials for them also doesn't quite match the rep + mats exchange. An actual reason to use them would be nice, or a way of dismantling so I can at least use those materials for legendary tonics. Because as it stands they're made to sit in your inventory, they might as well do nothing once activated. I think the turn-in functionality was probably added late in development because of this pain point. I doubt they were using them either. If they wanted a progression based unlock system, there are far better options out there. Even tying specific weapon focusing unlocks to a quest system would be better, like kill 50 enemies with a nade launcher to unlock the bitter/sweet tonic. Then just giving the generic seasonal weapon/armour tonics to us as the base tonic. They've made better progression and weapon focusing systems in the past.
Hardlight became the PvP monster before they nerfed the number of bounces the bullets had. It used to shoot through you hit the wall behind you mace come back through like instant double damage
High Ground is NOT dead on Bygones. Just treat it like rampage and win your first duel to get to x2 stacks and you’re back into 2 burst city on everyone.

"Spectral Blades may be the PVE Meta" is the most laughable quote I have ever heard. You could give me infinite spectral blade energy and I still wont use it.
Seems like the knucklehead radar nerf was beyond just the shield break nerf. you need to damage someone down to between 5-10% of their max health now before the tracking starts working. meaning only Auto's and SMG's can somewhat proc it right now and even then it's unreliable as heck. Currently you need to land 6 out of 7 precision auto shots before it procs. If any other shots the opponent it won't proc either. This is very likely a bug but if Bungie doesn't address this it's basically just old Knucklehead again.
Regardless of how nerfed in the ground Hard light is, I still love the weapon. Bullpup layout is so cool along with the ability to change element. Just wish that they made a revised version of it like how they did with Archon's Thunder with it changing from Solar to Stasis. But with Hard light they give it specific traits that are unique to elemental weapons. Destab rounds for Void, Voltshot or Jolting Feedback with Arc, Incandescent for Solar. That way people could have their original hard light (I know you won't use it but just have it for OG sake), and have a revised version which gives it more usage within PvE and PvP content. To me that would allow it to synergise with Prismatic quite well considering you're using all elements within one class, making those mentioned traits quite power with ad-clearing.
The only sad thing is the sentinel fix, it kinda had the same issue that spectral has now then got the glitched buff to damage, now it will still be good but i like my supers to feel like supers.
Does anyone else feel like they are in a toxic relationship with Bungie? I think I'm leaving D2 for good...I can't this anymore. Sorry Cross...I've really enjoyed your videos over the years.
See, that's the bull shit Bungie pulls. Nerf or so call fix the Titans shield bash, and buff Hunters spectral blades. More people would play spectral blades if hit registration was absolute ass. Hell, id say a similar thing was the problem with sentinel shield. Only reason we titans were swapping off something more reliable like twilight arsenal or even bubble to play sentinel on void is cuz of that bugged, busted ass damage. I still think that should be closer to its actual damage. High risk, high reward having to be literally in the boss's crotch to deal damage. Same with spectral blades.

Glacial Quake is indeed a S tier super
@@RebelOfTheNorm242 yeah the melee is trash lol
@@FlashesSoccer011 The best roaming is song of flame.
Damage wise Glacial is slightly higher but ONLY if all the crystals hit which isn't very often. And that's only looking at super versus super. Song of flame also provides 50% dr to you and allies, 25% damage, and you can still use your weapons which if you do can actually hit higher than a glacial quake super. And since both tend to last 90% of a damage phase you can't make up for the loss of heavy/special with behemoth.
Also glacial quake is horrible in team settings because it blocks everyones damage unless they're above the titan.
They will need to make the hit registration better for me to even consider spectral blades
I still clear rooms with hard light with arc equip. Didn’t know it was better before
1:56 I died in second encounter of vesper and my ghost spawned in last encounter🙏
Leave my Void Titan alone, dang it, Bungo.
they want us to use spectral so bad 😭
They knw that shi straight ass😭
High Ground is NOT dead on Bygones. Just treat it like rampage and win your first duel to get to x2 stacks and you’re back into 2 burst city on everyone.
i always use spectral or arc staff when i need multi kills with supers for quests or bounties.. also hard light is one of my fav weapons and again, for bounties and quests where u have to kill with a specific dmg type + auto rifle + kinetic.. the best!
As a Blade Dancer/Nightstalker at heart, I feel defeated every time I look at the state of Spectral Blades
“This could be number 13” got me dead 😂
I remember the Hard Light Meta...it was like a G.I. Joe battle in Crucible
The joining at the end wasn’t a farm most the time. When you hard garbage internet you would join lobbies that are done for some reason all the time, with unlootable chests.
Spectral needs to either slow down so that hits can register and damage boost to offset, or just an entire rework as it provides nothing. Weaken heavy attack in super just does not cut it.
BRO!!! Had Vesper final boss to 20% health...Cleared Red room / Cleared Blue room - Puppet drops Nuclear core under neath a piece of texture- BOOM blows my solo/flawless . I was PISSSSSSED. LOL
That sounds defeating. These kind of issues really make u want to stop playing
Tonics are working as intended now for sure, especially in ToE , but the left chest is STILL only dropping glimmer, this shit is ridiculous ffs
Bungie: Aye..we buffed spectral blades! Give it a shot!
Me: Nah...I'm coo
the 3rd chest being fixed on contest of elders is a lie. still only gives glimmer
I too felt a tinge of 💔 over the nerf to sentinel shield
Sucks about sentinel shield fix...was the first time I was using it in YEARS
@3:28 but yet titans mark from OEM is the same buff but they get it the moment they get hit. And both of them i believe can only have one enemy marked at a time! Just goes to show bungie favors titans
🤣🤣1st
the only buff hard light needs is to be put in the kinetic slot
That would actually go hard.
@@michaelferrarini1463 and put borealis there too. give those guns some actual use cases.
Or give it jolt/voltshot/Incandescence and destabe rounds.
Thanks for the video always good to know what’s new before I get home from work
I swear the hit registration on spectral blades is so bad. It’s just not like it was in Forsaken
High ground with status platform is gonna be nuts
This has been the worst season for exotic armor drops. I’m a warlock main and I’m not kidding when I say 80% of my exotics I focus at rahool drop 16+ mobility and 12ish resilience. I’m running a resilience ghost mod…
"Spectral Blades may be the PVE Meta" is the most laughable quote I have ever heard. You could give me infinite spectral blade energy and I still wont use it.
At least with the tonics you'll be able to use them next season and get the drops you never got this season.
🎉
Seems like the knucklehead radar nerf was beyond just the shield break nerf.
you need to damage someone down to between 5-10% of their max health now before the tracking starts working.
meaning only Auto's and SMG's can somewhat proc it right now and even then it's unreliable as heck.
Currently you need to land 6 out of 7 precision auto shots before it procs.
If any other shots the opponent it won't proc either.
This is very likely a bug but if Bungie doesn't address this it's basically just old Knucklehead again.
They probably just added the new patch notes to try to cover up the bug😂
Blah, blah, blah 😂 games dead man, no one cares
@@MovieSimpClips While you may be right, the game still has players that enjoy playing it. One of those players being me 😊
@@BNesnej I’m just trolling haha, that was a good answer. GG
@@MovieSimpClips I had a feeling you were, GG bro 👍
This whole time I legit thought that Elders chest was supposed to only give glimmer smh
The only sad thing is the sentinel fix, it kinda had the same issue that spectral has now then got the glitched buff to damage, now it will still be good but i like my supers to feel like supers.
The audio bug in the game is still annoying tho when you lose all audio during games
Does anyone else feel like they are in a toxic relationship with Bungie? I think I'm leaving D2 for good...I can't this anymore. Sorry Cross...I've really enjoyed your videos over the years.
Stockholm syndrome's in this time of year
Stockholm syndrome's in this time of year
Most definitely anyone still playing at this point suffers from toxic positivity and nostalgia of the”old days”
Dawning Celebration is in there twice.... once of the front page, once in the bright dust????
Damage buffs to spectral blades don’t matter if it can’t hit anything.
See, that's the bull shit Bungie pulls. Nerf or so call fix the Titans shield bash, and buff Hunters spectral blades. Mark my words, Bungie will later say " we realize spectral blades is doing more damage than intending". They will nerf it. It's a continuous cycle of them. I'm so glad you all are playing Destiny 2 and not me!
Spectral Blades ? I forgot that super exists.
Will these updates be applied next week or are they already are?
I suppose we have to just forget about a x3 Star Baker this year. Just like Champ and FlameKeeper. Well at least they got one event seal right this year. Well done for that. Dam.
Why no 3x baker?
@kamewoni because its broken. Gilded never reset... and triumphs completed.
So are any of the dawning bugs fixed or were they just ignored?
Completely ignored.
Did a run of Contest of Elders got a bunch of the SMG like 10 and still no Attrition orb / Voltshot combo 😆
