These videos are so much more interesting, informative and easy to follow than reading the manual. Helping me get to grips with my S90 here in the UK. Thanks.
Thanks for the demo! How does it work in stop and go, when you have to come to a complete stop? Will the pilot assist stay enabled and start moving the your car again when the car in front of you moves or do you have to turn it back on? Is there a minimum speed that you have to reach to use pilot assist, that it will not work below, like 10 mph?
Excellent video. Thank you for the demonstration. When you let the steering wheel go do you feel as if the car is bouncing from one side of the lane to the other or does it stay centered in the lane?
Seeing this definitely makes me trust it more in my XC40. It feels like it gets too close to the oncoming traffic sometimes - when a car is coming on a two lane it starts to hug the yellow line. Really odd.
Great video! Will the adaptive cruise control work in stop and go traffic? Will the cruise control stay engaged if the car is stopped for more than three seconds behind another car in heavy traffic??
Hey man, really appreciate your videos, really helpful. Is it possible to trick the system by putting an item at bottom of the wheel allowing you to keep your hands off the wheel for a prolonged period of time? Obviously Volvo would never recommend that but just wondering if you've experimented with that?
Hey man. If you hang a pineapple from 2 beef sausages wrapped around the bottom section and it holds for hours. Don't be an idiot dude, obviously totally unsafe to try to bypass that function. Don't get yourself killed! Or someone else!
Blerim - A V90 with Pilot Assist is a perfect place to take a snus. The pilot assist helps to promote a safe, relaxed driving experience. The ability to relax is a wonderful thing.
Hey Alton, we just got a 2020 xc90 t6 inscription. I'm wondering have you heard of a feature called curve speed assist? Basically if pilot assist is on and active, and it's too fast for a ramp let's say, it'll slow down on its own. It mentions it in the owners manual but it's not in my car. Can a software update add this feature? Thanks
Compared to Tesla? Bro a Volvo ist quality level like mercedes, audi and bmw. Maybe you have better driver assistance in a tesla, but you will not have that luxury like in a volvo ...

Thank you Alton !

What's going on at 2:23? The car went to the left significantly and the driver has to manual steered back

You can wear your sunglasses while the pilot assist is running!?

Jonathan - I use it all the time. It can get a little scary in certain situations.
I am planning to buy a 2020 Xc40 Inscription pro. Does this version have Adaptive Cruise control?
Great video! Will the adaptive cruise control work in stop and go traffic? Will the cruise control stay engaged if the car is stopped for more than three seconds behind another car in heavy traffic??
It stays engaged for up to 5 seconds and yes it does work in stop and go traffic.
@@AltonCrawford Does the Car move forward by itself after 5 seconds or does it remains stoped?
If less than 5 seconds, you are still in Pliot Assist. After the count, Pilot Assist is disengaged
@@AltonCrawford thank you

Great video & can you tell me can you set it two seconds apart for example. Can this be adaptive due to all conditions of the road👍
I love this on my V90 Business Advance, I use the pilot every time I take a snus, if you know what snus is? 👍😉🇸🇪

You missed showing how to engage the systems and how to adjust it, all you really showed was what the car was doing, pointless video.
