    Have you noticed that Alyssa ALWAYS has the perfect position in the saddle? She supports the horse perfectly through her proper application of seat, leg, hand...all of the available aids.

    Love this video and the European history behind the breeds. It makes me appreciate how much they love their equines and take pride in their lineages.

    This was wonderful! Very good production. I saw myself in your young discovery by chance to the horse. And however you managed to get into these prime horse barns and get a ride on each breed I commend your team. Thanks for all of it!

    Maybe someone who reads this could tell me why it is, that at some of the stud farms, the horses were wearing thick collars, very high up on their necks? eg: @ 2.5 mins & 36 mins

    • @amandahodgin9316
      @amandahodgin9316 24 дні тому

      Those are neck collars and they are used to help you catch and secure the horse. It looks like they have them on the adult mares in the herds so that they can be easily caught and handled. Foals naturally follow their mothers so they don’t need collars. Pregnant mares are checked and inspected often to ensure the pregnancy is proceeding properly and both mom and baby are healthy so they need to be able to be caught easily. The collars are just an alternative to a halter.

    Danke für die interessanten Informationen und die Vorstellung all dieser schönen Tiere.👍
    Auf die Frau im Sattel hätte ich aber gern verzichtet.👎
    Reiten ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Es schadet den Pferden sowohl physisch als auch psychisch und gehört abgeschafft.

    Alyssa I admit that your program is interesting and has a certain good quality to it, but, and this is a big but, I wish you didn’t have such a repetitive false laughter. You don’t need to overdo it so much with your over charged expressions such as oh cool!, wows!!! And it so amazing! Etc, as they sound rather insincere and shallow. Perhaps it is a North American trait as we British are a bit more low key in our expression of appreciation. Remember less is more! I own two Lippizaner geldings which I bought in Lipica. They are good horses, but so are many other breeds. They are not Wow!! Thanks for your documentary all the same.
