- This is a huge megacollab that has been in the works for over 6 years. That is visible in many parts, but also in the list of creators. This features many old creators that I haven't seen around in a while, which makes for a cool result to me personally. It's a nice throwback in many parts, and some of these look great even today. Other parts are more recent, which obviously fit more for the times. This does make the whole thing a bit inconsistent in quality. Still, I find the combination of creators and parts from different times charming. Admittedly, this is probably some nostalgia talking. I'm curious to know what you guys think in the comment section.
Another cool aspect of this aside from the development time is its place in a classic series, more specifically being the sequel to "Infrared", "Ultraviolet", and "Gammaray". This series is quite old now, so I'm not sure everyone knows about it these days. I have some good memories from participating in "Ultraviolet" myself, despite the quality not being the best; that and the entire series hasn't aged too well. In that sense, "Cosmic Ray" is definitely the best of them. It's also the final level in the series, and I think it makes for a fitting finale. I was asked to participate in this long ago too, but I declined. However, in the end, I ended up making the last triple spike, seen at 4:08. It was cool to be involved in some way despite small. As for the gameplay, this is gonna be an Extreme Demon, with the length being noteworthy. It will be out once verified. Special thanks to Floppy for recording this and providing the video.

This is probably the most early 2.1 nostalgia you can possibly put into a single level. It also has like the most exciting creator lineup you could come up with. There are about 40 creators in this level and pretty much everyone of them are og creators that have influenced this game by a lot. This is really exciting!
Even the host and the verifier were prominent figures in early 2.1
This is the first megacollab I ever built in. Still remember being so excited when I was invited to join all these years ago. I'm glad to see it finally out!
I know this is off topic at this level, I was just going to thank you for these wonderful years of supporting the community during 2.11, and also in past updates. You are a good content creator, and for me one of the best people this community has, good job.

I love how my style back then clearly was already showing signs of morphing into what would eventually become the style of my level Sedulous haha
So many of these parts act as snapshots frozen in time, almost like windows you can peek through to see the creators journeys and where they were back then!

It's a fever dream seeing this level finished. This MC was the first thing to really jumpstart my GD career again after my 2.0 decline, and I'm very grateful for it. Cheers to collab lobby :)
Now this is a level i did not expect to see. Had fond memories from those years, goddamn.
It can easily be told just by looking at it that this collab's been in the works for multiple eras of the game, be it because of the variety of the designs implemented or because of which creators are represented. Yet, every part in here looks good in its own way and the transitions between each of them are beautifully made, making for a nostalgic megacollab with polish that makes it flow and feel like a fresh and memorable current day level.
I'm really glad to have been able to help revamp and finish up this megacollab at last, the final result is amazing! :D

Like I never expected Sami in this collab. Neither Zhander or Sminx. Like I'm genuinely amazed to see so much time that has passed since then.
Overall is an incredible level and a time capsule
I was one of the later people to have joined the project back in 2019, and it's great to see that it's finally come back after so long. This may not be the most polished level out there, but this is a true encapsulation of all the design styles I've grown up with ever since I started creating. I can't express how honored I am to be a part of something this monumental, and to be part of something that serves as the proper sendoff to an entire era of creating. Here's to 2.2, and to the creators who carry out our torch into another beginning.
I for one absolutely adore this level. It has aged better than most other levels from its time and is still exciting and appealing to watch and play.
I miss these types of collabs, they really don't make them like this today. Its also incredible how so many parts still hold up well by today, some of you guys really were ahead of your time. anyway awesome level, i love it and its raw af :D

This is one of those megacollabs that already show its age (since this megacollab took 6 years to finish), yet still manages to look fantastic and charming to this day

love this level and love what it represents, which for me is all the 2.1 era and having fun with the game. excellent song choice, also this level works perfectly as an ending to this series. couldn't have been better

I hadn't seen a single part from this level until now, which made the final product hit harder than I ever could've expected. It may show its age, but not in a bad way at all. Excited to see this finally release :)

Man, this brings a lot of nostalgia to the early days of 2.1, I love levels that contain a mix of “eras” and this one, being finished at the very tail end of GD’s greatest era (so far) makes me feel some things. But really seeing how far this game has come only makes me optimistic for what the future may bring in 2.2 and beyond.
Watching this back after 8 months and really taking in how solid this finale is to the series of levels as a whole its so sick

This level… wow. What better way to have a send-off to 2.1 than to see a level that’s basically taken almost as long as 2.2 has get finished. Seeing parts from so many creators I haven’t seen around in a while is insane, and my jaw dropped at Michigun’s part. This level feels like such a relic of the community’s past in the best way possible while still staying modern and excelling in every way.

Before I talk about how good this level is, I just wanna say, 2.1 was sureal. And all these years, waiting for 2.2, couldnt have been better without the community! So, thank you! Everyone! Even if you just played the game, thank you! And to thank you Viprin, for the incredible levels, and helping with GD10! Now, this level is astronomical! Like, the length is insane! All the work put into this must have taken forever! So, great job to all of the creators! Lastly, happy 2.2 to everyone!

crazy thing that this is the final level of the infrared series, I was legit convinced gammaray was the one where it ended
whatever the case, its cool as shit to see such a stacked lineup of creators involved/the end result being a jumbled mess combo of eras and creativity
overall this ranks high on the kino scale, and is quite fitting to see one of these be released in the onset of another update

Honestly an incredible level by any standard
It is true that in levels that were started so long ago, the difference in quality between the oldest parts and the recent ones is very noticeable. However, you can see that the creators who participated here are of high level, because they managed to make parts that have a very decent quality for having been made so long ago, which makes the level look very good overall. I can also feel a lot of nostalgia when seeing some of the names of the creators and listening to this song...
