- Monster Hunter Rise introduces us to the Aknosom, a crane like Wyvern that dances through the Shrine Ruins in the dead of night. How does this creature work? What are the folkloric inspirations behind it? We're going to use real world biology to theorize on the nitty gritty of this shady creature!

I just like the fact that people's names are revealed in this game. Had to reach Fatalis in World to find out that people had actual proper noun names.

this is a year old but im surprised you only showed a single png of the japanese crane and called it a “common crane” when that species has been endangered, and is known for dancing both for courtship or just fun and with monster hunter fauna always being hyper agressive that just makes sense to happen in combat for a animal that looks like a hyper exaggeration on the japanese crane
