I’m going to play this again, but with eyes closed. The richness of drips, silk rustles, dish clattering, soft voices, the Irish lilt, makes for a belter of beautiful sound to fill one’s ears.
Nothing sound more romantic than rain drops, and to hear them on a tin roof . . . no one needs words.
A beautiful story lovingly told. It starts out with her looking pensively out the window at the down pour. And as she watches the rain, she starts to think of how some of her happiest moments with her soon to be husband occurred during a down pour: From when they first met to moments while dating, to when he proposed. So it's only appropriate that on her wedding day, she is blessed with another down pour.
Hi. I agree. And I love that it starts out with rain on green leaves, then there's a body slipping into a white wedding dress and then an orange bouquet. All the colours of the Irish flag. As you describe, there's not an image that isn't to the heart of the story.

Short film, shorter dialogue but with the meaning of a lifetime. I have always loved thunderstorms and downpours. They are life affirming; the music of God. Thanks for posting.
The only holiday I ever had in Ireland, 3 weeks of rain, but who cares, wonderful people, so full of joy. Beautiful film, catches the vibes so exquisitely.

Wow. The beginning when she seems a bit taken aback with the rain on her wedding day, then the bus stop scene with her laugh at his joke ... that second piece of her laugh, so genuine. The ring falling out into the rain, like the coins that fell when they first met, then her smile at the end still looking out at the rain on the wedding day. All so brilliant. Like a perfect short poem.
