After decluttering, I kept one very good quality, lined crop jacket in a medium grey colour. It is plain with hidden metal hook closures. I was reading an article about a American lady that was in vacation in Spain, she had a Urinari infection that developed in Sepsis. She got her 2 hands and 2 feet amputated. I am saying this to show that you are so lucky to have your 2 arms that could be short or long and slim or thick. You have them!

The lady jacket is also wonderful to travel with. Especially the boucle option which is often silk lined and quilted, I have found that you can literally screw it into a ball in your suitcase and it comes out looking pristine. So if I'm travelling, especially for work, it is the only jacket I take.

I disagree on the cropped factor. That would cut me at my biggest point...no matter my weight...but if a jacket ends at my hips, my hips are my smallest point and I'm able to camouflage my tummy/belly area. I do have--somewhere, I seem to have packed it somewhere I cannot find--one black woven lady jacket, so I'm going to be on the hunt for another this week.
Like many have said, the grey herringbone looks great and is a keeper. The other two are really underwhelming. Considering they have no structure they will start distorting very quickly and you'll be stuck wearing them as buttoned up cardigan.
I ordered the little Chanel style boxy black jacket. I was so excited. I tried it on. I looked horrible. Like a tree trunk. A dead one. With no animals living in it. Maybe some mushrooms. Toxic ones. I wanted to take my arms off. They looked too much. I was feeling like an orang-utan wearing a stolen (fake) Chanel jacket and walking on stilts = my legs. I looked like an American football player, at the end of their career. The very end. My head was looking like it shrunk, like these weird reduced heads kept as war trophies in some tribes. I didn't look very luxurious at all. It screamed "I drink tetra-pack red wine during lunch break" . No layering could have saved me. It made me question the concept of wearing clothes. It made me question my existence. Now, I think I want to write a horror /psychological drama movie script called "The lady jacket". I want to warn other women. 😂 Looks lovely on you. ❤
