    I like knowing that the FastCap tape measure you are using is 3" front to back so I can flush it up with the inside of the box to get an accurate measurement.

    Let it know that I LIKED the video pre-voewing it due to the simple fact that it is a BUILD video 👏 🤲! NO - 10 tips of some sorts, NOT a top 10 tools, NOT a review, etc. It's a simple, normal, much WANTED & LOOKED FORWARD TO BUILD VIDEO much of us have missed & wanted over the last year or 2.
    Thank you for actually ignoring the algorithms set forth by YT & actually making aomeing & posting it! We alllll (well I know I do at least) appreciate this & this kind of content! I've been a su subscriber but this is confirmation as to why I am! Thanks for the great content 👍 👏!

    Love the workbench and love the way you realized after the fact that you needed some improvements to make it even better. I think building one for myself makes sense but I will have to consider the dimensions carefully as I have a lot less space than you. That being said I will be back her to re-watch the videos 1 and 2 to be sure that it works out for me, I'll send you a picture of the finished product

    Was wondering, since you built an enclosed area for your Festool Midi extractor, how do you plug it in? Did you come back a cut a hole in the bottom of the compartment and run the cord under your bench? Or do you just run the cord out the front and plug it in as needed?

    That’s a nice workbench! I’m really wanting to build one for my current workspace, but with it being a sloping floor (back to front) I’m not really sure how to do it. With it being a single car garage, I kind of think it needs to be mobile, but how do you build a knife workbench that accounts for a slope?!?

    • @eastcarolinawoodworks
      @eastcarolinawoodworks  Рік тому

      If you watch part 1 in this series I used adjustable leveling feet on the legs. Also they make workbench casters you can install and make it mobile and once your done moving it they can be removed 👍🏻

    • @christophermckinney984
      @christophermckinney984 Рік тому

      @@eastcarolinawoodworks Thanks for the response, and I’ve thought about leveling feel, I just don’t think they will be high enough on the low end. I’d like to get it as close to level as possible, but with a floor this slanted, you kind of have to pick your battles. You did inspire a new thought though, permanent locking casters on the low end, and removable casters for the high end. I also have a delta table saw that I need to put together once I can figure out a way to make it work with this layout, and that’s something I would especially love to be able to make level, which would probably require building some type of stand to lift the low end, which would pretty much make that fairly permanent in its location.

    • @eastcarolinawoodworks

      I still have access to get under the table top from the dust extractor side. I could have added pullout trays to clean dust but since it’s mainly an assembly table for me there will be minimal dust. Plus I didn’t want to sacrifice space for it. Not saying it’s the right or wrong call but this is just the way I approached it 👍🏻

    You're unclear about the factory edge. All 4 are factory edges, so when you're taking off the factory edge because it's not square, how are you assuring that what you're doing will be square? Every edge is factory, right? So what are you referencing as a straight edge?
