Amazing stuff and search can't wait for next seasons dig already.
Show needs to be canceled
Can I please have a oz of gold?
If we are only 8 seasons in and it’s already getting this good, just imagine what they’re gonna find by season 25!
A piece of rock that could be from the tablet form Moses
@@nandinhocunha440 I bet they’ll find a ufo before this series is over
I'm holding out for season 67
I have to say this series is a joke. The fact it has lasted this long is a miracle. These two brothers couldn't find treasure if it was in their backyard.
I bet they will still be looking at each other dramatically while intense music plays right before a commercial.
For all those that have negative remarks about this show PLEASE go watch something else !! I am enjoying all of this show evidently for different reasons than you good folks. Treasure or not , I love to see the island , the ocean , the mud bogs, the metal detecting and the conversations. I love Gary's accent and Rick and Marty's enthusiasm and all things Oak Island . They don't need no stinking treasure for me to feel entertained .😁😁❤❤❤😁😁
friek , trow it in a swamp ? YOUR CRAZY 2 ..
Regardless, treasure or not, the archeological discoveries they have uncovered to date are priceless. A lot of history here.
You seriously think they “found” those discoveries?
The cobblestone road and other artifacts? Absolutely. They had to do a feat of engineering just to uncover this stuff. Plus carbon dating has a lot of thing predating colonial times. If you’ve been following it, it is amazing
Im about tired of this.....im ready to go up there myself and help out to finally solve this mystery
Excellent plan. I could be your Chef - Bodyguard.
can i filmed it and be the spectator? i can be the secretary too.
I’ll be moral support
When You Get There I'm Hoping You Will Find 2 Bags Of Gold Coins One In Each Hand Good Luck.
@Derek Jackson Your Right.
Gary "No Dig" Dratyon strikes again!
Could it be?........Could it be that this new seal will make it possible to drag this show out another 2 years?
A tiny metal trigger guard survived in salt water for 400 years? Clean as that too, not a spot of rust, not a barnacle or anything stuck to it either. Magic. 🤣
I'm starting to think , These guys couldn't find gold in a jewelry store...
I think you should watch the show instead of clips on UA-cam because I'm starting to think you don't know the differences between your @$$ and your elbows.
@@dasimparmy2289 LOL... I've watched, the show more times than I care to admit...LOL
Gary has more gold in his left ear than has been found in the entire series.
YES ,THEY ARE FOULS ,
Cue The Announcer: "A sack seal?...On Oak Island? Could this once have sealed the sacks left there by the aliens?" Ancient Astronaut theorists say yes."
Ha, ha, ha!! good one!
Lol, illegal alien at that
Niburu and the Mayans from 2012
"and more evidences can be found digging another hole in the ground."
Good one
Gary has been salting the area so he doesn't get fired.
I used to think the story of Oak Island was quite fascinating - until I started watching this show. Good grief you could find more interesting stuff buried in my back yard.
Yeah, I get that its entertainment but it muddies the eaters for people in the future that want to research it. Its good that they are documenting it but by now there's so many different directions. Just go dig in the freaking hole.
In the beginning of this series I find it so interesting. Now it is just same ol same ol. Never ending.
I'm getting "Island Happy" they got to be getting closer, than ever by now, finding a Templar bag medallion is a GREAT sign.....
Since Gary is the only one who finds cool stuff, you would think they could afford two metal detectors!
Health and safety gone mad 😡
Metal Detectorists. Those are the people that use metal detectors.
@@OverlandOne education at its' finest
Maybe they have someone dig the spot while he detects so they dont lose the spot. I'm sure they know a thing or two more then you
nah, they're too busy spending millions randomly drilling holes everywhere.
Those items likely came from when the South Sea Company had its timber and naval stores operation on the island 1720-22. The stone roads were the pathways for oxen to drag timber after it was floated to the island, to the woodyard and tar kilns, then some of it moved to cargo ships. If they weren't there, they would have become muddy trenches. What is known as the Money Pit was one of the tar kilns which later was likely repurposed for rum smuggling since the wooden interior wouldn't have lasted that long. The naval button in Ball's basement likely came from an investigation by the Royal Navy looking for smuggled non-taxed rum. The main function of the Navy in peacetime was tariff enforcement. Everyone assumes Ball received his wealth from finding a treasure. Maybe Ball made his money like Al Capone - booze.
Nope not even close Sherlock. Watch the show and not these tid bits.
@@dasimparmy2289 How did what I said conflict with what was on the show? Maybe Ball knew some navy officers. Did that mean he didn't understand what their anti-smuggling tasks were and the money which could be made by smuggling? Maybe one was dropping by for a bribe? I might also throw in that the South Sea Company was harvesting wood from virgin forests in Nova Scotia, so if something like a tool or structure was made out of that wood, the Carbon-14 date would be from when the wood grew and not from when the tool or structure was made. Things made from the heartwood of a 200 year old tree could generate a Carbon-14 reading of about 150 years before it was harvested. So 1721 minis 150 = 1571. All sorts of stuff in the 1800s would likely appear.
@@lewisdoherty7621 I agree bro been watching this show since day 1👍 Visiting that island would be awesome someday!

Try hiring more than one guy to do metal detecting... at this rate the entire island will be searched sometime around the year 4321...
Curious, do you think UA-cam will be around in 4321? And is it going to be possible someone 2300 years from now will read your comment?
Things I think about when I'm high
Nope!
@@charlieharper8477 If Humans are still even on Earth in 4321 I would be very surprised
Nope youve missed the point here. They have one guy so that they can string the tv programme on u til the year 4321. If they employ someone else they may actually realise quicker that theres feck all there other than wood.
@@alzym1803 That's what everyone says. 2300 years is nothing. To us it seems like alot. It's not. We'll be here then.
Trigger guard or more likely candle stick holder lol
Ur hatin
Don't bad mouth Gary!! He's always dead on.....and really the only who finds actual treasure on this island since the beginning 🤣😂
Metal detection " expert"????
You wave it over the ground, it goes beep, you dig, what, 2 to 3 inches and you are an expert? Expert at WHAT???
@@stewartquark1661 obviously never used a metal detector...🤣😂

They have put this gold there just to make this season entertaining and make viewers expecting the money pit to be discovered..
goes to show you don't listen. it wasn't golg but a lead sack seal,
@@rogerdunn5491 absolutely I did not.. I stopped watching this show a long time back and always comment based on the subtitles..
the sound effects are just soo funny to me. like they put the shovel in the ground then you hear BOOM like its too dramatic
10 mins of work..sounds about right for these guys
I watch this last night. I’ve binged on 4 episodes! now I’m hooked!!
Could it be a piece of the holy grail? Oak Island theorist, say "yes"!!!!!
I no longer waste my time watching a whole episode of this show waiting for something to happen. I just wait for these updates to turn up to see what I haven't missed.
This old show is going to creak right on to season 12 and they will still be stuck with those two dozy archaeologists revealing that cobbled track stone by stone, but there will always be plenty of old timber and the odd bit of metal junk to keep the gullible happy.
I'd like how much money the shamsters have made off this bs. Audit... NG is right up their but!
Gary has some new earrings
How much did he pay
A buccaneer 🤣🤣
No wonder they never get anywhere they stop work every time they find something and waste a couple of hours pondering over it.
I believe someone found the treasure a long time ago, possibly Samuel Ball, but anyway, I still enjoy the entertainment of finding out about the history and things they discovered, like the time they found human bones almost 200' in the ground. Now that is very interesting!
No its still there watch the whole episode because if you did you would know that.
@@dasimparmy2289 I have been watching shows about oak island for 40 years, the treasure has definitely been found, but I do enjoy learning the history from these guys. I have always been fascinated with all the famous people and presidents that also got sucked into this.

@@btrainbraydeboisseranc7570 yeah, I'm used to those keyboard jockeys, that have nothing else to do. Thanks
I agree 100%. The history is incredible. Perfect channel to be on. One person said they are milking it. Simple fact is , it is so popular that they just keep extending it through revenue from TV ratings. In that I am glad because they may have given up. The discoveries to me are priceless
I've found more and bigger treasures in a xmas cracker than anybody ever found on Oak Island.
they are rewriting history and that is the real treasure! Think harder
Thank you for this show I fall asleep so fast quicker than melatonin zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz😵
Gary’s knowledge of everything is so amazing. It’s so interesting he knows what everything is. I wouldn’t have a clue what that was.
Thats because he's seen it before and looked it up online. It came out of his pocket and now it's in the other pocket. He's very twicky and very sneaky!

It's nice to watch see a man of few words like Peter's brother David* grow up over the years and evolve his vocabulary into a couple sentences.
Well considering this is Peter's Brother, David Fornetti, not Peter, I think we can give him a pass on having so few words.

When you only click on the video to read the comments 😂
I guess the Lagina’s are setting up their kid to continue this quest for another 50 years .
Yay a find that puts a "who and when" on the island which means some way of knowing answers.
I am so intrigued by all the discoveries you have made over the years.
Wash ups ? Enough , find it or my patience is over.
Everyone is complaining about not finding gold or treasure . Come on , they are changing history !!!
The real treasure is on youtube views.
I found the behind the scenes video more informative than the actual episode. Those shish Kabob and catered services are going to have all sorts of experts banging on their doorsteps looking to help. Hopefully someday the History Channel can open a page called "The Cutting Room Floor" where material not included in show such as Oak Island can be seen. Gary has surely found more things than what has been aired.
Now silver has been detected in the money pit area, the hunt is on.
Any minute and I mean any minute they're going to hit the vault and out will pop Geraldo Rivera!! Stayed tuned!!!
Gary Drayton - now he is the screaming iron on that island
Even a blind squirrel can find an acorn
how have they managed to make 8 seasons out of clickbait material. still love the story and history of oak island, but idk if there will ever be more to the island...
🤔
Look at the other show where they planted gold bars in Lake Michigan.
Same producers.
My wife calls it the Rusty Nail Show.
This is not History . This is beach combing 101 .
the curse of the History Channel
Top pocket find,Bobby Dazzler,its Wood....That's all I've ever heard...NO GOLD!
Ark of the covenant.... im a mystery
Oak island treasure.... hold my beer.
Totally love this show. Rewriting history. Crazy to imagine what was going on there to consruct the wharf and put wood so deep into the ground.
Season 9 on oak island, going deeper. 40 mins of recap 15min of commercials 5 mins to find the treasure…. a nail that COULD date back to the 1700’s
Its incredible that people watch these episodes over many years, waiting on the money pit,and the Swamp,to give up its Gold,it was found long ago....
I often wondered how far you can lead a jackas without a rope. Survey says...
Gary is taking over the show. The title should be changed to "The Gary Drayton Show".🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
As apparently a gentleman who lived there ended up being one of the richest men in theCanadian Provence he probably already lured the treasure! Regardless these guys are making a fortune from TV ratings-treasure found or not!
History is changed with every find. I. Ever miss watching
This is one of the coolest things - Oak Island. I am so curious to know what's under it. I've always loved finding things buried in the ground too. I found some old commemorative coins buried under my sidewalk a few years ago. I guess my great-grandpa buried them there when he built the sidewalk.
Could it be that the producers put that gold there to boost it's ratings.
From Neosho , mo God bless the hunting 😊
I find that lead bag seal "highly compelling".
Metal detecting expect Gary Dryden needs to spend more time doing expect metal detecting. I guess he can go to work unless he can rope someone in to do the digging though.
See my comments. The lead seal found on Oak Island matches one found at Jamestown, Virginia.
I wonder what their wives think about this. It’s like a guy that goes off to gamble everyday and comes back with his pockets empty every night. 😂😂😂😂
Imagine, a warf on an island in Nova Scotia? Certainly couldn't have anything to do with the cod fisheries. Every open shingle in the maritimes was likely to have had a fish drying operation on it that required some sort of warf. Lead bag seals are common as the rocks they are finding. I have lots from the St. Croix river in New Brunswick. There was more industry in that area in the 16 and 1700's than they lead you to believe.
The gold was found ,and Samuel Ball the ex slave cleaned up on the plots anything that was left,he didn't get rich from growing cabbages...
They plant the finds to keep yall coming back.
OMG what a find, more junk. guess they gave up on looking for the gold.
This island was used as a dry dock to repair shops. It had the raw materials needed in the area white pine and oak which was depleted in england. So sad to see these people waste their lives and fortunes. Treasure wouldn't be buried deeper than it could be retrieved 3-400 years ago. The channels were made to drop water level to work on the ships and the coconut husks were blown in the gulf stream after hurricanes and carried north to oak island. Or possibly to repair the ship or the husks were use to hold the cargo in place.
I love this show. Can't wait for the mystery to be
solved. From West Michigan.
According to the curse this show will die before the treasure is found.
My pick is that in three years they hit the jackpot. Major treasure!!
the curse of oak island is watching the curse of oak island!
This show is as silly as that guy's earrings.
You have more chance of finding Matt Damon on Mars by an helicopter, than Gold treasure on Oak Island
I'm asking any viewers how would you go about the money pit. Love all the work there doing, been watching for a few years now clue after clue or just a rabbit hole they need to solve this for us all and everyone involved.
This is how you go about not finding a treasure, if there is one.
😄
This is like those ghost shows where they never actually find the ghost.
Great information !

Seeing the Americans facial expressions being called mate 😂😂😂 You can tell they not used to it BAAAAAHHHA BAAAAAA HAHAHA 😂
This series is hilariously sad. It's their money to burn though.
Don't worry, they aren't burning their money, they have made their fortune from advertisers and the History Channel.
They make a lot of money off of just these UA-cam videos alone.
Was it hilarious when they found 300 year old human remains 200 feet deep ?
Stop watching tid bits on UA-cam and watch the show there is more going on. The search is legit and so is the show. You just don't dynamite the island to find what is sure to be precious historical artifacts. 🤦♂️
They’re marketing their show to subsidize the cash flow requirements for this endeavor...this is by far the best way to fund such an undertaking. They are doing it slow to drag out as many seasons of stable viewership as possible. How does this not make sense to you?
3 or 4 inches under the sand/rocks along the shore (looked like between low and high water marks)? Amazing that they know the island's features/terrain has been altered but this stuff is on the modern day shore line. Having lived in Downeast Maine, nothing that small is going to be 3 or 4 inches down right on the shoreline from 300-400 years ago, IMHO.
Did you hear how draton says button. Bootin lolol
I really love this show, even though there’s so much repetitive viewing, but "Anything we find is going to be interesting” … does Gary have any other bright remarks, oh I nearly forgot, “Holy Shamoly", "That's a Bobby Dazzler" & "That's a top pocket find".
How come he’s always the hero when all the others do the donkey work.
Why is it he never sets up a grid search pattern
So this clown finds a small piece of undifferentiated metal, jumps to the conclusion that it is a small piece of a trigger guard and dates it while standing on the beach. Meanwhile, I just roll my eyes. Then he "finds" a bag seal sitting practically on top of it, under next to zero sediment and right next to the water. And I roll my eyes again because I understand that they think I am so stupid that I don't see that they obviously salted the beach with this junk.
So who are you and what have you done thats so great you clown.. At least these guys are credible people!!
@@Mike.hobbies How's the weather on your planet?

Research conducted by historian Joy A. Steele and retired marine geologist Gordon Fader demonstrates that Oak Island housed a covert British industrial center. The pair examined business records and contemporaneous correspondence to conclude that in 1720 the Crown chartered private companies together with the British military to do business on Oak Island-including pine tar works, brass making, and wire drawing-to help clear debt. It was the largest industrial development in Canada at the time, Fader says: “There were a million reasons to go to Oak Island-closest to fresh water, closest to shore, safe, good anchorage-it’s the biggest island in the ...” This is from an article in current issue of Popular Mechanics.
