Owners were buying championship clubs, just spending money as a gamble to get into the epl and if they fail then they leave and the club is in financial ruin . Ffp isn't really there to stop owners from just pumping their own money in if it's not going to damage the club

Man City will, in my opinion, get like a 30 pt point reduction in the league and also will be handed numerous fines, certain executives will have their FIFA licenses either terminated or suspended. The PL wasn’t bullshitting the fact that they looked into this for 4 years and dropped it now shows that they found something. They wouldn’t have said anything if they didn’t find a smoking gun.

At the end of the day, you can only be successful if you allocate your resources efficiently. Otherwise, you will have to reduce your spending over time - a business has to be profitable.
FFP is a shield for owners of big clubs. They keep making a lot of money even though their costs are low. In other words, the profit margin is bigger when you have the FFP protecting you from competition.
I'm pretty sure that if a proper investigation is done, we will find out that Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Arsenal (I'm an Arsenal fan), etc were behind FFP. Hilarious though because there’s no way they haven’t shattered FFP in the last decade. Problem is that as much as the PL/UEFA talk the talk about bans etc, they don’t want to do it at all. They need to be relegated to league 2. They need to be denied promotion for five years. They need to be limited in their spending whilst there to the average spending of the teams in the league in which they operate. Their owners and executives should be sanctioned financially and investigated for corruption and if evidence emerges of corruption they should be arrested, charged, and jailed. Finally they should be banned from holding executive positions within English clubs for at least ten years. I think this should be extended to other clubs most notably Chelsea.

Football is the people's game. It's our own: the working class game. I don't like creating binaries but unlike rugby, cricket and the United States' own methods of commodifying their own sports, football (or "soccer") is deep-seeded in the cultural identity of our country and, no doubt, the identity of most nations across the globe.
Every time we allow greedy organisations and despotic near eastern states to meddle with our own game the less dignity we receive as supporters. Look at Everton and the lack of transparency between ownership and fans. What a joke! Historic clubs, founded by workers as a means to relieve stress from the hard life of factory and dock work, have given the sport back to the bourgeoise. No longer do we have a say; no longer do we own the sport; no longer do the fans of English clubs have a say on anything. Instead, we are just spoon fed the desires of owners with an agenda that lines their own pockets and limits access to the privileged few.
Ticket prices have inflated to such an extent that young people, families fallen on hard times, such as the current economic situation at the moment, are given no relief. Capitalism wants to survive yet is not even willing to let its tired and oppressed citizens a reprieve from the misery that it has piled onto its own workers.
We are nothing more than consumers of their spoils, allowing them to have custody of what is rightfully the public's own: the ownership of community. Of course, these owners like to give the allusion that they build the community but, in truth, it only serves to create even greater barriers between fans and the club. Essentially, the people have lost complete control. So much so that fans are left begging owners to do what is morally correct, allowing clubs to fall into debt and disrepair while they live out their lives on foreign soil. The Premier League as a governing body is a joke. Look how long they have let Manchester City to cheat behind their cash induced curtain! Ironically, it took a hacker to unravel the cheating - cheating I surmise the Premier League were aware of and did nothing - from Portugal, informing German journalists of the deceit. From which point, the Premier League was forced to take action so to protect itself from ridicule, as well as its own internal investigation.
Speaking of Germany, I say football in Britain follows the German model and implement a 50+ 1 ruling system, or some form of outside, fan monitored organisation so that the spirit of the game is not completely swallowed by individuals who know nothing about the sport, or the communities they represent.
