The rest of the direct was kind of lackluster and people are completely losing their minds for some reason. It's more embarrassing for them than Nintendo tbh
***** Because you'd think after years of complaining they'd put out something that looks like it wasn't made for GameCube, but no. One of the most underwhelming game trailers I've ever seen. Have fun though. I'll be playing Star Wars: Battlefront.
***** Yeah, I wasn't expecting there to be a new Starfox story after almost a 10 year gap, there probably won't be much of Metroid either because the story is pretty much finished. They look cool though. There's still the release of Super Mario Maker and Xenoblade Chronicles X later this year.
***** yeah, I know, there's no ground missions so what's wrong? and slippy and Krystal aren't even in the trailer, since according to star fox fanboys they hate slippy because he's annoying and they hate Krystal just because she likes Fox...if she and star wolf are going to be in this game I'll be happy, but there is one thing I'm not understanding, they said its not a sequel or prequel to any previous star fox games including 64, so...what is it? a spinoff? a reboot or what?
Jeremy Knight It's supposed to be a remix Star Fox game using things from past titles, like how they put the Arwing Walker in there from the cancelled Star Fox 2 game.

This game doesn't look too too bad from what I see so far, though, likely not like NGB or I ninja or RTS or luigis mansion or the games in my best-games-playlist.
Jack Julsing yup, not to mention this is still by far the best looking star fox game we've had to date, I personally don't see what's wrong with them, they're bright and colourful. Not to mention people don't seem to consider that maybe the graphics aren't as good as like mario kart because of the scale of the game, maybe the battles will just be like realy big and epic and the system wouldn't be able to handle them if it had better graphics.
Its too bad the gameplay and games are recycled from 15 years ago and are not fun or innovative at all. Nintendo just reuses the same formula over and over and its stale now. The least they could do is make it look prettier
originoa if a game has good core gameplay you don't want to too drastically change it, it's not like it's the exact same game, they're always adding new features and tweaking the formula. Or are you one of those people who expects a new game in a franchise to somehow have revolutionary new gameplay each time?
gaurdianAQ No I wouldnt want them to change the gameplay because thats what makes the game great in the first place but maybe add an online co-op feature. Or maybe an open world type of online concept the way Division and Destiny have done. I dont expect them to change the core game drastically its just im getting a little tired of Nintendo's same games released and over sequeled for 10-20 years now. Its like the "saw" movies, the first few sequels were cool but now Im just tired of it and the least they could do is make the graphics look mind blowing. If this game came out under a different title than "star fox" it would look boring. But the Nintendo brand and Star Fox name make it epic. and this is coming from someone who played the N64 version over and over and over.
originoa I wouldn't go that far, I like this kind of game and would probably find it interesting even if it wasn't starfox, like there aren't a whole lot of on rail shooters out at the moment, the fact that's it's starfox just makes it a memorable brand for me. I won't lie an online coop could be fun, but I could see issues with it as well, especially for any on rails parts, like how do we stop players from crashing into each other or one going to far ahead or too far behind. Actually dumb question because pretty sure armored core had a few on rails parts that worked just fine. I dunno I think this adds enough to the star fox formula for me to buy it full price. At least from what we've seen so far. Like I said in another comment it's possible the reason for the graphics could be that the scale of this game might not make it possible... I know it's probably wishful thinking on my part but maybe the battles are going to be really big and epic...
+Tony Spike Hello Nintendo. We want a STARFox not AIRFox. For your next StarFox title after this one, could you remodel the Arwing to look like a STARfighter instead of a fighter jet that has to rely on flaps to navigate thru the AIR? Just look at SNES StarFox. None of the crap that has to do with air foils. It was the only true starfighter beside the Assault model. Also look at the Tie Fighter (Star Wars). It has no wings b/c it's a spaceship not airship!
Kira Kira i think they would reply like this (i would if someone wrote a letter that stupid to me) Hello kira Whilst we at nintendo realise the games we make are not scientifcally accurate, the games are for kids not scientists, please stop overthinking, We know real star fighters wouldnt have wings at all they would have thruster ports on each side of the ship, they would also follow physics in flight and would be able to turn 180 degrees without changing direction .......nor would they make a sound, because sound cannot travel through a vacum But since this is a kids game and is supposed to be fun, not a boring nerds game and also since the arwing is capable of atmospheric flight and it would still need both wings and flaps, i think you will allow us SOME liberties based on rule of cool ........or would you rather in the next mario game we stop allowing you to jump, allowing you to breath underwater or in space, and shoot fireballs from your hands because fat italian plumbers can do neither of these thing Tie fighters are fictional however and do not behave how real space fighters should either, thus should not be used as an example of a none existant point Kind regards, nintendo P.S. upload videos of this game to youtube and will procede with legal action ..........yes i think that is how they would reply to you ;)
+Tony Spike Well, we both agree, SFZ looks pretty... dumb. Anyways, my posts are not visible if I start my own comments. Have to post as a reply in someone else's thread. And when I'm addressing Nintendo, I'm not addressing your topic, but the Nintendo that started this comments section!
+Tony Spike Eh, btw don't you find it kind of funny that SFZ is about furries in space (ie. cartoony), and of all things they decided the Arwing should have realistic AIR mechanics. I always thought Nintendo was all cartoony, non-realistic fantasy stuff, but the Arwing seems to be too heavy into emulating a jetfighter... go figure!
SmashFan95 yea if i ran into this video with no title i would have assumed it was one of the older starfox games... the WiiU is capable of a lot more than the graphics in this game..
Sean Carey How can you tell? I assume the PS4/XBox One/PC games look so good, that you kinda forgot that the Wii U has weaker Hardware! The game looks pretty! Not *perfect* by any means but *really* pretty! :D
Kniffel101 Yes the WiiU is "weaker" than those but it is more powerful than older PCs and the ps3/xbox360. These graphics are comparable to the Gamecube. JFYI, I have a WiiU and a handbuilt PC with a 4790k and SLI 970s (hooked to a 4k tv). I know what amazing graphics looks like, and I know the capabilities of the WiiU. Im not knocking the WiiU, Im knocking this game.
Calvin Guidry Early build? It's launching later this same year, if that's an early build then they better get to work because they barely have any time left.
Tyler Hughes Considering how this game hasn't been in development for that long, and they already seem to have a pretty complete game, I am fine with the graphics being only okay or good
Zach Wagers im sorry but this is 2015, not 2006. xbox shown better graphics with thier game suring those time, yet the wiiu is still stuggleing to get decent looking games. looks like an indie game.
Adventureless Hero First of all an 'indie game' isn't inherently a bad thing. Second of all, graphics do not make good videogames. Do they add to the experience? Yes! But if the gameplay is responsive and fun, I really couldn't care less about graphics.
wow Nintendo, even Sega treated its dying console (Dreamcast) with more dignity than what you're doing with the Wii U. unawful conference overall, we even bother anymore?
This looks so amazing! A true re-imagining of the Star Fox series! Wow, I can't contain my hype for this! It's just been too long since the last game! I'm so excited!
SuperGameEskimo Yeah, it really feels like there's not much going on in comparison to previous titles. Not everything has to be a huge dogfight, but it really does feel a scoche underwhelming.
SuperGameEskimo Some of it does, but then some if looks gorgeous. With a release this year I agree it's a bit worrying. Also it looks pretty slow. And even an optimist can see the walking bits are going to be shit. I just hope Nintendo's often slapdash approach to E3 reveals has something to do with it and the finished game ends up being ace.
Astounding! You like "Star Fox Zero". My goodness! In the all new "Star Fox" game that follows the ending of "Star Fox Zero", the more the Sega character Miles "Tails" Prower could be a new member of the Star Fox Team, the more he and the Star Fox Team battle the forces of evil, Matthew William.
Yes. I see that. But I keep thinking that after the Star Fox Zero credits end, a cutscene of the Star Fox game shows Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi's animated characters Ami, Yumi and Julie joining the Star Fox team on its mission, Matthew William.
to be honest when playing through Starfox 2 on snes emulator and think, God its such an missed opportunity for not releasing it , it just goddamn good.. now holy dang gooses bump all over me , it felt really Nostalgic
+Vezix Haikal Ew, SF2 was so cheesy. The only good thing about it was Andross can cloak himself and move to another location off the screen. Evrything else about it felt like half-baked cheese. I'm glad they didn't release it.
Kira Kira everyone have their own opinion , sir, and SF2 is a semi real time strategy, each moves you makes counts , makes you think twice before moving into another planet heck it also non linear, you can explore more in this game , much more than Starfox 1 could ever offer, i don't find the "half-baked" cheese you are saying, its still a miss opportunity for nintendo not releasing it on E-shop
+Kira Kira also the game was fully finished, debugged and ready to be released, the final copy already have been recieved by the developer.... sadly it wont be released neither the rom
I know I'm late into this but the main reason why they cancelled it is because by the time they were finished with the game, the SNES was in it's dying years and everyone was already buying PS1s and N64s. Because of that, they were worried that the game would sell terribly so the cancelled it in favor of Star Fox 64.
There should be a stage in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U based on this game as part of a DLC package that would include Wolf and Krystal as fighters. The stage would feature music tracks from Star Fox Zero.
At least Mario himself happens to be a fan of all 3 as seen in the Super Mario Bros movie. Star Fox because of Mario’s Arwing figure, F-Zero because of Mario’s F-Zero poster, & Kid Icarus because of Mario playing the first Kid Icarus game. I started to appreciate Mario’s favorite games after watching that movie.
Walter de L'eau yeah, but thier something to be said with 2006 graphics compared to what is considered standard game graphics in 2015. looks like an indie stream greenlight game.
if i want a graphics game, that's what i go to microsoft or sony for. but if i just want something fun, that's what i look to nintendo for. that's just me.
Walter de L'eau I get that Nintendo isn't big into graphics but when games like Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta2 that are fun and have decent graphics, are put out. It makes it seem like Nintendo just kinda went meh with the graphics on this. That's not saying it wont be fun or it'll look like this on release. Maybe they wanted to keep a somewhat same vibe to the older games, who knows.
+BlazeMelon5 lol... there are also fans who had never even heard of federation force... you do know this correct? Also, someone simply saying "and Metroid" doesn't imply that they are a crying fanboy, but could in fact simply mean that they (like myself) weren't aware of the newer title. Even if they WERE upset... I could totally see why. I watched some footage and Federation Force looks like a watered down kids version of Metroid that his little at all to do with the original games. It looks like a rushed side quest for a handheld and hardly anyone thinks it looks very fun... myself included. Besides... wouldn't it make you even more of a "fanboy" for not only knowing that the game existed, but for defending it, when it clearly is not only a bad Metroid game, but a bad game in general (from it's appearance).
derp.mp3 Seriously. You guys just can't be satisfied, can you? Look at it this way: This shows that Nintendo still has some creative ideas and respect for their IPs other than Mario and Zelda, and, hey, at least this looks closer to Star Fox than whatever that new 3DS game was to Metroid.
2 major complaints I see in the comments. 1. This game's graphics look like they came from the gamecube. 2. No online multiplayer. Wai. First off, let's put aside the graphics don't matter thing. The game still looks pretty cool regardless of your arbitrary standards for textures and polygon counts. Second, why would you even want online multiplayer? Other people are dickheads.
Bluetoad Well that's not the game's problem, now is it? People gotta realize that there's a world out there with people... Then again, people ARE dickheads... Huh. I need a minute to calculate this.
lol I have many friends, so I'm mostly playing local multiplayer, but I not gonna lie and say I never play online, because I do! But I'm more of a local multiplayer type. I find local play better than online play.
What's all the hate for? They have not shown a bad game, they all look fun and they aren't all finished yet... This wasn't the best E3, but all the leaks also made it less of a surprise
shadowfury200 You say it as if you can only have one at a time... The hardware and software has been available for some time to handle graphics at a level way beyond this. It's not that this is unplayable or bad, just dated and unimpressive
Starfox Zero, it’s a game that released for the Wii U back in 2016. Sadly the reviews for this game are mixed to negative and there hasn’t been a new game since.
Ben Hill It's way too early for a new pokemon game from the main series. There is a tekken-like pokemon game in Japan for the arcade that may release for consoles later maybe. The reason X and Y were not as good was because it was published too early. My guess for that would be because of the release time of the last game was near the end of the Nintendo DS and they wanted to make another pokemon game to make that game last longer.
Pioxys "The next game of my favoritest franchise ever is finally getting some love again! What's that? It doesn't have 765438x765438 texture resolution and a centillion polygons? Screw that, gimmie my favorite *movies* like the Last of Us!
Renji05 In case you couldn't tell, Nintendo has been trying to innovate Starfox with past games. After 64 we got Adventures, which was a take on the "Zelda" genre, but I don't count it since it was originally an entirely different IP. I DO count, however, Assault and Command. While Command was pretty terrible all around, Assault took the base of Starfox 64 and added ground-based combat to the all-range stages. Despite their efforts, Nintendo has received mostly bashing remarks on straying to far away from what made Starfox 64... well, 64. In an effort to try and return to their roots, they're essentially refining the elements of the original rail shooter since that's what they've been asked to do again. And now people like you are what I don't understand. Everybody tells Nintendo to "make the next [insertgamehere] like the first one!" only to be criticized after it's released with remarks like "it's just the first one in HD"
People, pls, stop, this game is AWESOME, why, why are you complaining about this? I understand with the Metroid one or the Animal Crossing, but why here? Why? Don't tell me is for the graphics, this is a game in developement... PLS, WHY!?
Steve Fury Considering it's one year development cycle, I never expected it to look monumental. But it looks like a much cleaner and crisper take on Star Fox 64 3D's graphic style, which isn't a bad style at all.
Steve Fury Wait, isn't a comparison to indie gaming a compliment? They usually innovate and push things forward far more than the mostly stagnant mainstream publishers. Burned by some of the early access scams of late, perhaps? Unless you mean in terms of overall production value (vis a vis graphics), in which case, it does look a little underwhelming. They're probably trying a bit too hard to go for the retro look for our own personal tastes. Some people adore that stuff though, largely for a nice hit of nostalgia. I grew up on SF64, so I'll admit a bit of that myself.
Michael Peterson Except this game is based on a prototype that was made on... the Wii. They've had plenty of time to give an upgrade to the graphics. Though maybe they can make a miracle happen, Sonic Boom looked like absolute crap the first time, and then a few months later it looked... abysmal, but it was a huge step up nonetheless ! Here it's clean enough, it just lacks in details.
I wouldn't be surprised. However, I seriously want him back in Smash 4, because he was my 3rd best character in Brawl, and my favorite Star Fox character. Now that fans got their Roy back, I hope the next character they will want back is Wolf. We need more villain representations anyway
Mitochondria Raine Not only can you see the Wolfen ships in the trailer, you can see the letters W, A, P, and L next to them...Wolf, Andrew, Pigma, and Leon.
***** He did technically, same voice actor. If anything, he's putting more effort than he did in SSB. I still liked the voices from Adventures, and Assault a lot better. It's a shame they still have Slippy sounding like a girl. His voice was much better in the Gamecube games.
SpongicX There hasn't been a new Star Fox game in almost 10 years. So they had to stick with his look from the DS. It's the same with The Legend of Zelda characters in that Ganondorf only appears twice in the series, Zelda wasn't a princess in Skyward Sword, having Link have the only Skyward Sword look would appear awkward. So they just made them look like they did from Twilight Princess.
0:29 Star Wolf's original team is here. Wolf, Andrew and Leon (Pigma off screen?). This suggests that Star Fox Zero is a prequel or in the era of Star Fox 64. This matters because Peppy should never have become an old fogey. Rewind time baby!
maybe im wrong, but this is one of the most innovatives things i ve seen about how you can use the camera on a shooting game in the past years, this really looks like a movie
Nintendo and Mr Miyamoto Thanks! Im really Happy! Guys We Made It! All Ship Report In!
Hype!
Hello Andross! im back!
Hey team, where is slippy?? Hope you leave him un titania :D
Im here!
Fox McCloud Don't get too cocky, starfox!
Dislikes already? Sheesh....all these years bitching for Starfox, this is the thanks Nintendo gets. Whatever, I'm buying!

I'm not sure why so many people are upset, I think it's kind of neat Nintendo is releasing a new game for the Gamecube after all these years.
+Darth Vader FALCON PUNCH !!!!!
bn
No remastered Corneria Theme? Common Nintendo step it up!
CAMAM STEP IT UHP!
Moon Presence OR IN CLASSIC STARFOX SPEECH "BLUHBLAAAAHBLUBLULBUUUH!" XD
=)
***** We need an original Corneria theme. We can't use the same theme forever!
WHY NOT? XD
=)
You don't want the theme to become stale, do you? And the 64 version of the Corneria theme has already been remastered in Assault.

They threw "Do A Barrel Roll" in for no reason at all, haha.
It's nice to see ideas from Star Fox 2
MasterEnex A shame they won't release Star Fox 2 itself, especially since it was finished prior to cancellation.
and star fox assault for the gamecube.
***** Maybe a VC release someday...?
Gustavo Araya He was saying it's a good thing.
Daniel Jones It's not the same, though. It's better to play on the real deal.
And yes, I know there can be reproduction cartridges so you can play the cancelled game on a real SNES, but it's not official bought-Nintendo-property quality.
Sweet, I've always wanted my Arwing to turn into a chicken.
Ian Babcock You can even count the polygons of that thing.
Ian Babcock I think it'd be even cooler if chickens turned into arwings.
Ian Babcock Or a raptor
Ian Babcock It's a deadly chicken though.
Aurocastro lol

yay star fox is back
TheAtlanticCraft Do a Barrel role. Tears of joy. :'}
TheAtlanticCraft Yeah man, I'm just happy we're getting a new Starfox. Art style is simple but I like it, I will be more focused on battle anyway.
But i'm not kidding, i cried when I saw the trailer.
TheAtlanticCraft i agree games arent to be played because of graphics but for fun and memories and the graphics arent that bad .
In regards to the graphics:
1. The game is not finished.
2. The game is not finished.
3. Who cares as long as it plays well.
Fuzunga The game is not finished... but will be released in 6 months anyway.
Fuzunga Looks great to me, why are so many people bitchen?
Vic Viper Looks better than assault and has plenty of color so I dont see what the big deal is.
Vic Viper I dont care if assault is 10 years old, wtf do you want cod level graphics? The game looks perfectly fine, now kindly quit your bitchen
If you think I'm "bitching", oh, I'm sorry to think that this game deserves more attention, a game I've been waiting ever since Star Fox Command ? A la Shenmue III for many people, if you will.

Guys, games are not about graphics and resolution, they're about gameplay and fun. Better graphics doesnt mean better game
Or are you one of those people who expects a new game in a franchise to somehow have revolutionary new gameplay each time?
gaurdianAQ
No I wouldnt want them to change the gameplay because thats what makes the game great in the first place but maybe add an online co-op feature.
This game is so underrated in my opinion
Same I genuinely love this game
I need a new Star Fox NOW!
Why so many dislikes? This looks amazing!!
TheDominoKing0197 i dislike becouse dont have online multiplayer. :/
***** graphics fanboy........
mrconcept graphics fan....man?
***** Ah Graphic Snobs. Got it.
Vormund Elite
Go away. Adults speaking.
just add the stuff from star fox 2 and i will be happy
and they just HAD to get do a barrel roll in at the end didnt they
+Tony Spike Hello Nintendo.
Kira Kira i think they would reply like this (i would if someone wrote a letter that stupid to me)
Hello kira
Whilst we at nintendo realise the games we make are not scientifcally accurate, the games are for kids not scientists, please stop overthinking,
We know real star fighters wouldnt have wings at all they would have thruster ports on each side of the ship, they would also follow physics in flight and would be able to turn 180 degrees without changing direction .......nor would they make a sound, because sound cannot travel through a vacum
But since this is a kids game and is supposed to be fun, not a boring nerds game and also since the arwing is capable of atmospheric flight and it would still need both wings and flaps, i think you will allow us SOME liberties based on rule of cool ........or would you rather in the next mario game we stop allowing you to jump, allowing you to breath underwater or in space, and shoot fireballs from your hands because fat italian plumbers can do neither of these thing
Tie fighters are fictional however and do not behave how real space fighters should either, thus should not be used as an example of a none existant point
Kind regards,
nintendo
P.S. upload videos of this game to youtube and will procede with legal action
..........yes i think that is how they would reply to you ;)
+Tony Spike Well, we both agree, SFZ looks pretty...
I always thought Nintendo was all cartoony, non-realistic fantasy stuff, but the Arwing seems to be too heavy into emulating a jetfighter... go figure!
+Tony Spike I BELIEVE
Underrated! I’m still playing and improve my skills. this game have a replay factor and Desert stage is awesome 🦊
Yeah I once heard someone say the campaign being short was is a bad thing
I expected for this game to look better in terms of graphics. But at least looks fun
SmashFan95 yea if i ran into this video with no title i would have assumed it was one of the older starfox games... the WiiU is capable of a lot more than the graphics in this game..
Sean Carey Probably might be better when it is released
Sean Carey
How can you tell?
What is everyone's issue with this games graphics, I think it looks pretty good!
GoldenTriforce I honestly have no clue
GoldenTriforce The graphics are good, but still they could have been better
Tyler Hughes Considering how this game hasn't been in development for that long, and they already seem to have a pretty complete game, I am fine with the graphics being only okay or good
The character icons look great
The game also looks really fun
"Do a barrel roll!"
Crowd: *forced laughter*
I don't know what people mean when they say the graphics of this game look bad. They look fantastic to me.
Zach Wagers Part of it is likely the art style and expectations. I think they look quite good and may improve as development goes along.
That certainly exacerbated matters. :-\
Those graphics...
*****
Sonic Boom visuals
Keande Woodfin worse. It looks exactly like on gamecube
Jesus Christ, are you going to complain on every Nintendo E3 video? I get that the conference was disappointing, but you need to calm down dude.
Keande Woodfin If those look like sonic boom visuals to you, you are the blindest person I have ever met.
***** yes.. i say the same :3 they just cant make it from 0 with better graphics :/ well maybe just a classic look :D
This looks so amazing! A true re-imagining of the Star Fox series! Wow, I can't contain my hype for this! It's just been too long since the last game! I'm so excited!
Anyone else feel like the game looks empty?
SuperGameEskimo Well the space parts make sense.....it should feel empty...space IS HUGE AND EMPTY.
SuperGameEskimo Yeah, it really feels like there's not much going on in comparison to previous titles. Not everything has to be a huge dogfight, but it really does feel a scoche underwhelming.
I know it's not finished, but I doubt much more of my "emptiness" is going to be addressed.
SuperGameEskimo
Well, it is for the Wii U you know ;-)
Deserves a next starfox game! I own a wii u and 3ds! It was my favorite for wii u and I hope there is a new for switch or 3ds
tbh I actually like this game
Same
im holding onto the hope that we see krystal in a new game soon! ^_^
i know shes not here but i want krystal to be in the next installment :'o
Im asking for a star fox WITH krystal!
THIS SAVE THE E3.
A little late to the "barrel roll" party, eh Nintendo?
+S e v e N H o p E Not my problem.
True
RandomStranger_3 Still not my problem.
TonyKanameKuran yep
+S e v e N H o p E i really hope that phrase is not actually in the game
Krystal and Panther should be brought back.
Star Fox Horizons people? What were you thinking?
Miyamoto has said that there will be many more unseen environmental mechanics and a completely new story with new characters and also new areas too!
Dylan Sheehy That's good to hear.
I was overall unhappy with the digital event but this was the highlight,it's also being developed by platinum games!!!
Dylan Sheehy Did he mention anything about Krystal?
Dylan Sheehy Hopefully they won't turn the tables and make half the gameplay land battles.
Miss seeing Krystal in an arwing.
Star Fox Zero is my favourite game in the whole wide world.
Bubble Wiz the Star Fox Zero credits remind me of the Star Fox 64 credits.
Yes. I see that. But I keep thinking that after the Star Fox Zero credits end, a cutscene of the Star Fox game shows Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi's animated characters Ami, Yumi and Julie joining the Star Fox team on its mission, Matthew William.
Yeah I love this game too
to be honest
when playing through Starfox 2 on snes emulator and think, God its such an missed opportunity for not releasing it , it just goddamn good..
now holy dang gooses bump all over me , it felt really Nostalgic
+Vezix Haikal Ew, SF2 was so cheesy. The only good thing about it was Andross can cloak himself and move to another location off the screen. Evrything else about it felt like half-baked cheese. I'm glad they didn't release it.
Kira Kira everyone have their own opinion , sir,
and SF2 is a semi real time strategy, each moves you makes counts , makes you think twice before moving into another planet
heck it also non linear, you can explore more in this game , much more than Starfox 1 could ever offer,
i don't find the "half-baked" cheese you are saying,
its still a miss opportunity for nintendo not releasing it on E-shop
+Kira Kira also the game was fully finished, debugged and ready to be released, the final copy already have been recieved by the developer.... sadly it wont be released neither the rom
I know I'm late into this but the main reason why they cancelled it is because by the time they were finished with the game, the SNES was in it's dying years and everyone was already buying PS1s and N64s. Because of that, they were worried that the game would sell terribly so the cancelled it in favor of Star Fox 64.
if I had a dollar for every time I see some complain about the graphics I would be able to pay off the entire national debt of the U.S.
The "Do a barrel roll!" at the end won my heart.
I hope they've got this 64 remake thing out of their systems and focus on a NEW star fox game next time.
I miss seeing Krystal on the team
This trailer looks like Fox is a loner
Ya
Krane X Adrian No, the others fight with you, but it's more focused on you.
Mostly, you are alone
There should be a stage in Super Smash Bros. For Wii U based on this game as part of a DLC package that would include Wolf and Krystal as fighters. The stage would feature music tracks from Star Fox Zero.
I hope you update Smash Bros. Wii U and Smash Bros. 3DS and change Fox's voice to this
Yep
yes pls
***** I've been telling people to give him time to improve.
QuazaKirby It's the same dude
Nozid2613 It's better here than in smash
Nintendo's E3 in a nutshell: Very underwhelming.
"DO A BARREL ROLL" - Anyone else get goosebumps?
Star Fox is a game world where Nintendo can do a lot more. And yet there's not that much to its name, like F-Zero and Kid Icarus. So sad.
I don't know why they didn't say it but PlatinumGames is co-developing!
Graphics don't always matter. It's the gameplay that matters more!
Everyone seems to want hyper realistic graphics these days. I've got no problem with these graphics.
the graphics don't have to be spectacular so long as the game is fun.
and this game looks fun!
Walter de L'eau You're not alone.
Marcos Luna
Fair points.
I'm a huge Star Fox fan.
Finally! Starfox is making a return. Now lets do f zero
nickzilla20 and Metroid
+AmericanBuizel Already done with Federation Force. It's still a game, but crying fanboys like you are denying that it exists.
+AmericanBuizel hopefully Kid Icarus too
+BlazeMelon5 lol... there are also fans who had never even heard of federation force... you do know this correct?
Hands up for Krystal in the next Star Fox!
I have been waiting 18 years for this game.
wait till nintendo reads all the comments. if guys want a cancelled star fox game, keep it up.
derp.mp3 Seriously. You guys just can't be satisfied, can you? Look at it this way: This shows that Nintendo still has some creative ideas and respect for their IPs other than Mario and Zelda, and, hey, at least this looks closer to Star Fox than whatever that new 3DS game was to Metroid.
TheAmazingMisterZ im with you man, i was talking about the other people in this comment section that wont stop complaining
I guess you can't please everyone
Krystal was a great character, bring her back soon!!
The more you practice playing Star Fox Zero the more good you'll get at Star Fox Zero.
DO A BARREL ROLL
2 major complaints I see in the comments.
1. This game's graphics look like they came from the gamecube.
2. No online multiplayer. Wai.
First off, let's put aside the graphics don't matter thing. The game still looks pretty cool regardless of your arbitrary standards for textures and polygon counts.
Second, why would you even want online multiplayer? Other people are dickheads.
***** Wait a minute... Are you saying GAMEPLAY is what matters!?
Thank God someone gets it...
GroundPoundable The reason why everyone wants online multiplayer in any game is, because they don't have friends, to play locally with them!
GroundPoundable The reason why everyone wants online multiplayer in any game is, because they don't have friends, to play locally with them!
THOSE GRAPHICS ARE AWESOME, lets hope this game doesnt suck
Anyone else miss the cute romantic tension between Fox and Krystal? :')
Alyson J. No one after Star Fox Command
I did after assault.
Is it for Nintendo 64?
Just the fact that his mouth still moves when he's done talking makes me ultra stoked for this game.
For all the graphic complainers: Graphics don't make a game.
What's all the hate for? They have not shown a bad game, they all look fun and they aren't all finished yet...
This wasn't the best E3, but all the leaks also made it less of a surprise
I'm so glad that they're still making Gamecube games in 2015
Josh Maunder yes because as we all know it's "graphics > gameplay" gamers...
shadowfury200 Its 2015, they do somewhat matter now.. I don't want a new game that has gamecube graphics..
shadowfury200 You say it as if you can only have one at a time... The hardware and software has been available for some time to handle graphics at a level way beyond this. It's not that this is unplayable or bad, just dated and unimpressive
+Josh Maunder gameplay is that matters i honestly don't care if they make it 8-bit as long as the gameplay is solid
I'd like to see Krystal in the next Star Fox!!
DO A BARREL ROLL!
I'm glad at least SOMEBODY got the game they wanted.
Yo, this actually looks like a Star Fox game, what is this?
Starfox Zero, it’s a game that released for the Wii U back in 2016. Sadly the reviews for this game are mixed to negative and there hasn’t been a new game since.
Been waiting for a new starfox for 10 years now ! A new one comes out and I don't have a Wii u! :(
Solaris642 GET ONE.
***** spoderman pls
Man, Star Fox so needed this.
Zero Krystal more like it.. wish they'd bring her back.
Thats great but wheres Krystal? I didn't buy it but hopfully the next game!!!!
I didn't know Nintendo was still making games for GameCube.
All I wanted was a pokemon game from the main line
Ben Hill It's too early
***** they are finally starting to skip years again! (Idk why im happy about this)
Ben Hill Yo-kai is basically the same thing.
FINALLY! The star fox game of my dreams!!!
For a console that I can't afford...
How can this not look better than it does?
Screw the graphics. I grew up with crappier looking ones.
*TAKE MY MONEY AND GIMMIE THAT FOX NOW!!!!*
Pioxys Truer words have never been spoken.
Pioxys "The next game of my favoritest franchise ever is finally getting some love again!
What's that? It doesn't have 765438x765438 texture resolution and a centillion polygons?
Screw that, gimmie my favorite *movies* like the Last of Us!
Isaac Platt what love is it getting? by remaking the n64 game again? are fans actually happy to play the same game again after the remake on 3ds?
Isaac Platt There's good change and bad change.
Rem8nds me of starfox 2
They took the idea of changing to a walker from SF2. They even mentioned it in the presentation.
The best Nintendo E3 2015 trailer
People, pls, stop, this game is AWESOME, why, why are you complaining about this?
I understand with the Metroid one or the Animal Crossing, but why here? Why?
Don't tell me is for the graphics, this is a game in developement...
PLS, WHY!?
When is this out for the gamecube?
i cry when peppy says do a barrel roll
That was sorta underwhelming. Looks like an Indie game. But oh well..Ill still play it. lol
Steve Fury Same, I hope it gets better in it's final stages
Steve Fury Considering it's one year development cycle, I never expected it to look monumental. But it looks like a much cleaner and crisper take on Star Fox 64 3D's graphic style, which isn't a bad style at all.
Steve Fury i dunno i dont remember there being any StarFox related Unity assets
Here it's clean enough, it just lacks in details.
i miss having Krystal on the team, why'd they change it?
Because she was a product of the game that put star fox into the downwards slope that it's in right now.
Krystal is an overly sexual furry bait thing that shouldn’t have been in the starfox franchise in the first place
YEAH!!!!! Finally, after 10 years of waiting, Star Fox is finally back to action!!!! I can't wait XD
DO A BARREL ROLL!
STAR FOOOOX!!!!!
Oh wow this looks good considering it's a gamecube game
ABOUT TIME YOU GAVE US WHAT WE WANTED
I hope Star Wolf appears in this, and I want to see Wolf back in Smash 4!!!
Anthony Faiella The Wolfen appears in a scene that has Pigma, so yeah, it pretty much confims Star Wolf's appearance.
I wouldn't be surprised. However, I seriously want him back in Smash 4, because he was my 3rd best character in Brawl, and my favorite Star Fox character. Now that fans got their Roy back, I hope the next character they will want back is Wolf. We need more villain representations anyway
THANK YOU!!!!!
Mitochondria Raine Not only can you see the Wolfen ships in the trailer, you can see the letters W, A, P, and L next to them...Wolf, Andrew, Pigma, and Leon.
Why didn't Fox look more like this in SSB Wii U?...
The real question is...why he didn't SOUND like this?
***** He did technically, same voice actor. If anything, he's putting more effort than he did in SSB. I still liked the voices from Adventures, and Assault a lot better. It's a shame they still have Slippy sounding like a girl. His voice was much better in the Gamecube games.
SpongicX Yeah he looks more like his classic design in this game.
Slippy is a dude!?
Brings tears to my eyes...
Bring back Krystal in the next game please, we need a female on the team!
Krystal for the next game please and thankyou :)
I wish I watched this trailer earlier because that "do a barrel roll" was glorious
I miss Krystal honestly.
The controls always felt weird to me in this game.. maybe it was cursed cause there was no Krystal? :P
