Having just read (for the first time), some of the comments below, I thought I’d add more input. I’ve been buying John Deere diesel lawn tractors since 1992 and am currently on my 4th tractor. I also have a John Deere 994 R diesel zero turn. I basically mow all my relatives yards (about 20 acres. I pull two 60-inch cut Swisher Trail mowers behind my 62-inch cut Deere for about a 14 foot wide cut (6 inches of overlap between mowers). It’s tough to trim around 400 trees with this set up but the 20 acres is cut in about 4 hours. I use the Ryobi electric for trimming! Ryobi claims a full overnight charge cost 40 cents. I’ve seen people verify this on UA-cam ( they plug some type of meter into the wall to measure the kilowatts used). Mowing 1-1/2 hours with my diesel only costs me 1-1/2 gallons of fuel (24 HP Diesel). So about $5.00 verses 40 cents. My Deere’s run about $300 or $400 (each) a year for routine maintenance. Obviously, I’m loving this Ryobi! I’m not mowing as fast as my 14 foot cut but it’s still pretty fast, way more fun, and a lot cheaper.
I live on 2 1/2 acres in Central Florida, i bought this last week. I love it, bought the Brinley utility cart too. I use the mower as a UTV, takes care of all my needs.
I think this electric zero-turn is good for smaller flat yards with no inclines. I have to mow my 3 1/2 acres once a week and most of the property is at a 35% incline. I have a Cub Cadet XT-3 Enduro Series and it still struggles going up the hills. Nice mower though and thanks for sharing. Cheers!
took more time to tear the pallet apart to get it off the pallet then to do the assembly. also first time driving a ZT is quite an experience, gonna take some getting used to, will be using slow mode for the first few mows. Did manage to snag a deal, Home Depot had the 75AH 42" ZT AND the Bagging Kit for $3,850 + Tax where the 75AH 42" ZT by itself was $4,199, so it was an obvious choice to getting the bagging kit combo.
Just purchased one of these mowers which are on sale at the Home Depot’s around northern Illinois for $3399. This makes them very comparable to the gas zero turn mowers I was looking at.
PMantis32 They raised the price of the 75ah back up to $3,999. For a while they had the 75ah mower with the bagger kit for $3,799 but that quickly sold out.
I just got the bagger attachment for mine and had to empty it 6 times for the 1 acre I have in back. The grass was pretty short and the leaves weren’t bad. I got it primarily to help with the leaves in the fall. I don’t think I’ll use it in the summer because it takes way to long to cut the grass. And the spinner doesn’t work so you have to guess when it’s full.
@@foam27 - Lithium. Only 50 AH. This can apparently mow at 8MPH vs 5MPH for Ryobi. I'm not even sure which one I'm going to buy. Letting ya know there is another choice though. I know nothing about batteries. What you said about lithium being lighter makes sense, since this is 200 pounds or so lighter than the Ryobi. The same battery tech is used in marine and car batteries I've used AGM batteries for years they work just fine just make sure you charge them every couple weeks or so.
My 75ah Ryobi zt will be here at the end of next week. That gets rid of my last gas-powered lawn equipment. I'm torn on this because I'm replacing my cub cadet xt1 with this mower. My xt1 has only had 2 seasons and part of a 3rd this year but I'm wanting to get out of the gas and this looked like it would be great. I am upset though that there is no way to hook up a tow behind sprayer due to not having a 12v connection. That to me was a huge oversight on their part.
@@RAPR117 yeah I already saw that post. Just re affirms that they screwed up by not putting a 12v connection on here. It's been a lot of fun so far. It is not happy at all to mow wet great though. It will do it, it just doesn't like it.
What's the danger in keeping the original blades attached?? I simply wasn't able to get the bolts off the blades as they were torqued down extremely tight.

Lithium battery’s can’t be drained to 0v they actually catch on fire if you do that and damage them you actually can only drain them to around 20% 3.2v per cell.
