When I have eggs I always try something a bit different. Sometimes I fry onions in them and add a bit of beef broth. My favorite experience ever having an egg was one time when I was in Tokyo and I ordered some Katsu, which is a breaded sort of pork on top of rice with a little green in there. The chef cracked a raw egg on top of the pork and it sort of cooked and drizzled down over the really hot pork and into the rice. It was FANTASTIC.
+FloorManiac P.s. I cant wait to try this poached eggs in the microwave thing! I used to scramble them in the microwave when I was a kid and wasnt allowed to use the stove. I have always felt like poaching eggs required a level of skill that I simply dont posses. Very intimidating. Your method gives me hope.
Unfertilised or scrambled 😉 re: microwave hacks, how best is porridge made in the microwave? I either get gloopy mess or hard, dried up stodge! Any tips?
I usually just add hot water to my oats. The water should be slightly more than the oats with a pinch of salt(my preference anyway). Cover and microwave for about 1-2 minutes. 1 is usually okay for me. Hope this helps
Depends on the mood. Scrambled, poached, omelette, fried...been ages since I've had it, but boiled egg with buttered soldiers...and a hard boiled egg and tomato sandwich. :) As for poached egg on buttered toast - have to show some love for buttered crumpets, right?
Poached, but eggs any style,i love eggs, so why start in hot water ,is that because micro won't boil water? or is it with hot water no need to puncture yolk to avoid eggplosion ?, but i need 3 at a time, i'm a big boy
I have biotinidase deficiency. It's super rare. Only 4 people in Mississippi have it. Because I have it I can't have runny eggs or raw eggs. I always wanted to try one. But I like your show.
+Mermaid Girl I've never heard of that but having had a google, please do take care with your diet and be sure to cook any eggs very thoroughly. All the best to you and I hope you can still enjoy the videos! Thank you for your very interesting comment x
Nooo!!! What a nightmare! I reckon you have a much more powerful microwave that I do, so drop down the wattage or reduce the short blasts it’s in the microwave for!
Katie Pix he did it the same way, he cracked the egg into water, the water covered the egg and then he stuck into the micro for 1 min. Though what put me off was you know that white slimy stuff u get on an egg. That was on it. So maybe I'll stick with ur method. I think I answered my own question lol
Always like fried eggs, runny yokes. Been obsessed with microwave poached eggs & videos. Mainly trying to be healthy. Tomorrow, I'll try the vinegar and not the salt. 😊
I thought you should never microwave eggs otherwise the yolk would explode (literally, Google it) Poking a hole with a toothpick or a hole in the yolk would prevent that, but then that defeat the whole purpose of poached eggs
+1989glady I've always eaten dippy eggs, ever since I was little, so my tastebuds love a gooey yolk! But, each to their own. You're best to cook it for over 3 minutes to ensure a firm yolk. Enjoy! x
+idea_generator Absolutely! If you have a hob! This was inspired by my lack of hob and pot at work. With only a microwave I could enjoy my favourite Breakie/Brunch :D Hope you can enjoy them too!
I love this! Will try this on Saturday morning... Toast, coffee, OJ and poached eggs. Mmmmmm
Eggsactly what I need before bit of eggsercise!
+Jamie Harvey Oooooooh - I see what you did there and I liked it!
What wattage is the microwave??
It was 800W, but if you take it carefully it should work in any microwave. Thanks Charles!
Eggxellent!!! I can´t stop watching your videos!!! Thumbs up!!!
+André Orsini Parra YAY ANDRE!

+Shuenn Choo Thank YOU so much for watching!

:D Thank you so much! :D **blushing** Wishing you a wonderful week!
Will have to try your method for success, in the never ending quest of the perfect microwave poached egg ... Cheers
YES! How did yours turn out?
@@KatiePix
Why does the water have to be hot before you put it in the microwave?
I love poached eggs and will get this right once I figure the timeing.
I definitely think I have a more powerful microwave than most!
I also love eggs and will try your recipe in a microwave. Thanks a lot. xxx
+Mary-Jo Zilveti Thank YOU so so much for watching! It's a super simple hack but one I use most days. Chuffed to be able to share it with you x

+FloorManiac Oh my goodness, that sounds incredible! I love food. Especially when it has the power to bring back brilliant memories like that.
Could you use apple vinegar or just normal vinegar?
It'll work just as well! :D
Some add hot water, others use cold water, still there are others use room-temperature water. Which one method is best ?
My minds blown i cant believe you can poach an egg like this!
+danielle cox Yeah, baby!
Do you think this would work with two eggs at a time?
+petertnicholls I have tried it, and yes it does! No more though. You will need to up the timing by roughly a minute too :D x
Nice one!
Unfertilised or scrambled 😉 re: microwave hacks, how best is porridge made in the microwave? I either get gloopy mess or hard, dried up stodge! Any tips?
+Chez McGee WHEY! That is such a good shout. I am a porridge addict. IT'S GOING ON THE LIST.

Hiya Katie :) I love an omelette or Eggs Benedict... as long as there's bacon involved!!
Quick question: Carbonara, with cream or without?
+Attila Rozgonyi An authentic carbonara is WITHOUT, so that'd have to be my choice! (Although an M&S carbonara doesn't half rock my socks!)
This is so nice to know! I always fudge up my eggs on the stove top!
+Alexandra May Gatanis Super simple! It's my daily go-to at work. Love it!
I like my eggs poached and sunny side up the best. But I love them any way
I love how many terms there are for having eggs! Over-easy anyone? Thank you for watching!

I would of done a min or 30 seconds at a time, so the pouched eggs won't over cook. You'll notice some parts of her pouched is well done.
Love the accent. Great idea. Will definitely give it a try.
I like opached eggs the most! Though my success rate with them is like 10%.. Hopefully with this epic tip I'll raise it to 100% :D
+matej sedlacek I believe in you! ;)
Goddamn, I think I'm in love. The eggs are tops too

Tried this egg cooked hard water ran all over micro wave big mess guessing my water was too hot .
Nooo!!! What a nightmare! I reckon you have a much more powerful microwave that I do, so drop down the wattage or reduce the short blasts it’s in the microwave for!
Thanks for your quick reply will cut time in half and see how it goes.
Eggs Benedict...truly the best way to eat eggs (with homemade Hollandaise Sauce, not the stuff in a tube or can)!
Most UA-cam on microwave poached egg indicate 50 seconds to 1 minute !
Why is there another hack 1 min in the micro wave I'm confused now
I'm a little confused too! Let me know what you mean and hopefully, I can shed some light on the question! Have a wonderful week, storm le cat! x

Some say 50 seconds to 1 minute to poach egg 🥚 in microwave … 🤔🤔🤔
Cheers from USA
Boiled ☺️
ummm... we can't really see the egg... me thinks you overcooked it....
I still ate the egg after I cleaned up the mess I figure if I cut the time by half my egg should come out runny .thanks for your comments and so soon.
Yay! That’s awesome! Thank you for persisting with it!!!
They didn’t show the yolk running when you cut into it. I think the camera man was covering for you messing up. Be honest lol.
Well you have an eggcelent day yourself. the puns are real. Good hack though, thank you and good luck in future videos and jugling acts miss Pix.
+Paulo Leitao Thank you so much! It is my goal now to be able to juggle 3 eggs - WATCH THIS SPACE. ;)
Spicy omlette
That would be a delicious recipe
I thought you should never microwave eggs otherwise the yolk would explode (literally, Google it) Poking a hole with a toothpick or a hole in the yolk would prevent that, but then that defeat the whole purpose of poached eggs
+Maxwell Fong As long as you fully submerge the egg you should be fine!
What is the purpose of a poached egg.
I fry mine
+Charlie Mahony Fried egg. It's a classic!
Eggs are meant to be poached with instant noodles
+Sayuri Kinomoto WHAT IS THIS COOLNESS YOU SPEAK OF?
+Katie Pix We Asians like to cook a poached egg in soup instant noodles. A total game changer 😏 you should try it!!
Love my eggs anyway I can get them.
Fried eggs sunny side up!
I love eggs any way! Thank you so much for watching!
fried
:D
No need for hot water (cold will do), or vinegar, and waiting all that time she handles the bowl and eats the egg, i tried and it was HOT
how does a raw yolk taste good...no offence...
